Pharmacy.... I was picking up a prescription for a family member. They were on point about a new medication interacting with another. They even called my family member to make sure I told them of the concern.Store.... The staff are friendly kind and helpful. The grocery prices seem higher than other places.but if you have a rewards card you can earn so much off gas. If you shop wisely and buy things on sale I think you'll get good prices. It's just a little extra work on your part.

Always under staffed and most prefer to avoid eye contact rather than help. Deli, bakery, front desk all the same. 10 check out lanes 1 open is the norm. Shame as some of the veteran employees r the best around but current management is not helping then out either.

My wife and I have traveled all over Michigan. When I went in to shop for the first time I was just blown away on how clean and organized this store was. I caught myself looking around for a TV crew getting ready to do a commercial ! LOLI have never seen a store so clean, organized, well stocked and the employees friendly and happy.... just wow and totally IMPRESSED

Having been in several different stores I find them to be well stocked with reasonable prices! The staff is always friendly and engaging. The Manistee store is fairly new as I had not been there in several years. Recommended!!

It's great that there's a store open till 12am so close to home but their produce is often bad and their milk is very strange, 1% and 2% specifically. Sometimes it looks watery and has chunks of white in it and it ALWAYS tastes odd, not like it's spoiled, but not good.

New policy on discount for fuel prices will keep me from spending as much. Friendly staff. Some new great in house products but stocking levels suffer at times. Need more local farm products.

It was nice. The staff is friendly and the prices are fair. It's also quite close by and convenient to my daily commute. I definitely appreciate the ease of access and the generally pleasant state of the store.

I am shocked to see so many positive reviews, so I thought I'd give a reality to check. I think the only reason you might give this place a good review is if you have never lived in any other city besides Manistee and you are cozy with the owner and know every one. For the record, I have mostly stopped going there since the Meijer was opened, but occasionally I have to go back. And every time I do, I just feel like I have been robbed. The selection is abysmal, the service is awful, for instance they have no decent brand of milk except 'Cream cup dairy' which is $5.50 a jug in a glass jug, to which you pay an additional $2 deposit--and you're only getting a half gallon of milk. The only upside to the place is the cleanliness. It is unbelievably expensive to shop here, and you can't find anything. The bakery is also abysmal, with soft and saggy breads that would make a Frenchman cry. Basically, it's run by people who either hate food, or have never been farther than Ludington or Traverse City in their travels. I hate to be a jerk...but having been so many times and always feeling like I have been robbed, I just feel like they need some honest feedback. I might give it a 2 to be more objective, but they don't deserve a 4 star consensus by any means.

I was just shopping at this store 7/25/18 @ 1658. I used the self check out. When o got home I notice I left a 4 pack of AAA batteries at the check out. I immediately returned with my receipt, went to the service desk and explained what I had done and showed her my receipt. She said nothing had been turned in and basically said if I want the batteries I would have to buy more. I did and left. I will go back to shopping at Manistee Meijer. I worked there when they opened. With my receipt they would have given me a new pack of batteries. That is good customer service. Apparently Family Fare feels they don't need to give good customer service.

I used to work there and great friendly outstanding employees, clean store and all but on this occasion I had to bring back some refundable cans and what a mess their bottle/can return area is....the sink looks like it hasn't worked in years and couldn't get a drop of water out of it no matter what I did and of course that was after I had already put the liquid soap in my hand then it turns out the paper towel dispenser is totally tore up that the cover isn't even there and the rolled paper towels we're just laying there.Had to make a trip to the bathroom all the way inside and across the store again to wash my hands with the soap already on them.Please pay attention to these things and it'll change to a 5 star rating.

They have a great variety of products and I love that they have a area to weigh up your own candy and some dried fruit. They also have a great selection of meat and a nice deli area. Free coffee and popcorn while shopping to.

3 stars strictly because it's quick and easy to get in and out of. Prices are very high. Family Fare has a pharmacy which if rated on its own would get 5 stars. Pharmacists are knowledgeable and very helpful.

I order alot of bakery/deli products for my place of business. The associates are wonderful. The cakes are wonderful. The lady that decorates them does a great job.

Good place to shop. It was the only place in town where we could find canned beef hash, which is a traditional must when camping. The lack of it, even at Meijer, must have been due to COVID-19 supply/delivery issues.

The staff and management were more than gracious and went out of their way to help us and make our shopping experience a very pleasant one! We will definitely be visiting again!
