The Rooted is a really wonderful and classic Michigan small business. The store is filled with all kinds of Michigan themed items, much of it hand crafted in-State. They have a super ice cream and coffee bar, with friendly staff. Very nice place to visit, well worth the time amd effort to get there. They are right next door to "The Iron Skillet", which is a 'must stop' place to eat.

Driving north on 131, you'll be disheartened if you are a coffee lover. Until you come here. All of their coffees are ground before being poured over. We had the 45th parallel blend, and it was absolutely delicious. Mixed with some ice cream and raspberry cream blueberry cheesecake muffin in their cozy little eating area was a treat.There are also a lot of creative Michigan inspired items. If you have kids, you'll want to know that a few of them are not family friendly.

What an awesome little store! It's a true Michigan store, with everything being made in MI. The coffee shop inside does an excellent job! The staff is super friendly and welcomes you right as you walk in. Their stuff is a little pricey, but remember you get what you pay for, and that's quality. Would definitely recommend this place to anyone looking for a Michigan treasure!

I was really looking forward to there moose tracks coffee. Sadly vary disappointed, it tasted as if someone just put a shot of water down coffee into a glass of milk. If I wanted a cup of overpriced disappointment I would have gone to the McDonald's in town.

The guy who helped me was amazing! All his recommendations at the bakery/ ice cream we're on point. Definitely recommend stopping! There is so Michigan made products from honey to clothes to homemade dog biscuits.

The perfect shop nestled away in a quaint Northern Michigan town. This establishment is not only busy with tourist and those passing by, but also a hub for locals. The uniqueness of this shop is it’s not only one I would label “shop local” for small business, but it supports so many other small businesses through its vendor network. A great stop for sure for anyone looking for that one of a kind gift, sweet treat, or just a little self retail therapy. Highly recommend and looking forward to returning.

Great store with many original gifts/choices. Great variety and many homemade items with comparable prices. Tried their tomato butter which was unique and very tasty. I would go back every time I'm in the area looking for anything new. Cashier was very friendly and helpful

What an awesome store! We stopped in for the first time on a friend's recommendation. Found lots of gifts and a couple of fun t-shirts for myself 😁 My husband had a delicious mocha and I think we'll be back later for an ice cream! I love stopping at Rooted first for unique Michigan gifts for my family from put if state. I've always come away with something unique. We've also made the trip for delicious coffee (I recommend the log cabin) and ice cream too. Drop in and have fun!

If you are looking for a fun little store that sells Michigan items like t-shirts, hat, & hoodies --AND has Michigan jams, jellies, sauces and foods -- AND has an ice-cream, coffee and soda bar (I suggest the Log Cabin Latte) -- AND has an outdoor seating area with a firepit and a big stack of wood -- I suggest that you check out Rooted.

I have been shopping here for years and have had the pleasure of watching them grow. I've never had a bad experience here. They have shirts, hoodies, baby clothes, books about Michigan, metal signs, pet stuff, various foods, doughnuts, pasties frozen, soda, coffee bar, lotus energy drinks, and more recently bubble tea! There is certainly something for most everyone! Strongly recommend to check them out!

Rooted is in Mancelona, MI and has alot of cool things. They even have hand dipped ice cream, which was wonderful.
