I stayed the beginning of August. Due to these fake reviews I read. We were told we could get ice anytime. The office was closed everyday until 3 pm. The bed is old cardboard covered with fleas or bed bugs. We got bit up and have pictures of our legs eaten from top to bottom. The room smells musty awful. The shower is so small for one person. You fight while showering not to touch the wall and for the shower curtain to stay away. I was so disappointed I was mislead by reviews.

If I could rate this place lower..ok so first off I was sternly warned about smoking in the room. Not only, tobacco but “anything”. I was told It would be a $500 fine if we did. Upon entering the room I choose the bed with the least amount of cigarette burns in it. The deadbolt didn’t work and the flippy thing that also locks the door from the inside was also broken. The shower and sink were filthy but it appeared we had some clean towels. When we went to bed later we discovered the beds had been used. There was food crumbs, boogers and hair in the sheets. Totally disgusting. I would never stay here again. I recommend you avoid this place at all costs.

This was the most disgusting place I have ever stayed at in my life. Shower curtain was covered in thick mold. Tub had previous occupant's used soap bar on the ledge, and the floor of the tub was dirty. Carpet in room had not been vacuumed. Stains all over bed and floor. No fitted sheet on one of the beds. My boyfriend left covered in bed bug bites. If we had not paid in advance and gotten there well after their office had closed, we would have gotten a refund and went elsewhere. It's just not worth the cheap price. I can't even say that you get what you pay for here, because we've stayed at nicer places (that were actually clean) for the same price.

I won't even give 1 star. This place sucks not only did they refused to refund the last day of our trip even tho we were not there. They don't open till 9am and leave at 11am.They don't get back till 3 pm and close at 8pm. We were there hunting so we never seen them to check out. Our room had fleas, dead bugs all over, blood stains on sheets pilloe cases and towels, towels were ripped like rags, could see breath in bathroom, and had to park in 4 inch deep water. Had burnt out lights and shower scum in bathroom. They charge way to much for these rooms that haven't been updated in anyway since the 70's. I will never go back and recommend that no one use them. They also would not give AAA or military discount. Good luck if you chose to stay in this rat hole, you might as well burn your money and check for bed bugs.

While the staff was friendly, the room was horrible. Bed was 30 years old, pillow had no pillow case and was stained. Bathroom floor was filthy. Carpet old, stained, and dirty. Was lectured about not smoking i.n room, but it reeked of smoke. Air conditioning doesn't work well. So not worth the $100 foor the room.

Terrible. Carpet wet sink area from water leakage, bed low to floor with old hard mattress and paper thin pillows, furniture old scratched and peeling,. We rented a block of rooms for a weekend event. All rooms had major defects such as vomit on blanket, open pack of ky jell left on dresser from previous occupants. layers of dust along walls ,. TV's that didn't work, refridge that froze all our food and drinks. Plus office not open to even get assist with issues. Fabric stains on chairs. most everything was old and dirty. We booked sight unseen as only game in town close to wedding we all were attending. Will never stay here again even if we have to drive 50 more miles! Our stay was 7/9/16 _7/12/16. Lady at check-in was friendly and towels were nice but no toiletries,, Kleenex , coffee pot etc in rooms. I've stayed in other motels for about same price that were much better!

The most disgusting place I have been to in my life. We checked in because it was the only place near the snowmobile trail to say. Step into the room, rode the trial for a little bit and pack our things and left. Bed, sheets and pillow cases had all sorts of stains. Couldn’t bare the smell. Would never recommend this hotel to anyone!!! Wasn’t there an hr. Do not set anything on the beds. Gross!

My door didn’t have a deadbolt, the only lock was in the door handle. Woke up to my door OPEN in the middle of the night. Office was closed when I left so I couldn’t tell anyone. Auditor was beyond rude, refused to take my information when I called about the door. Was told to call back, called back and was pretty much told to get over it by the same auditor. Left my name and phone number and have yet to hear back. Not asking for a refund, I would appreciate a half price room if I ever stay again. Room had no shampoo or conditioner. Am local so just know most of the 5/5 reviews are from locals/ fake.

One of the worst places I've stayed in... Not very clean and after they had "cleaned" the room while I was out the tv would no longer work. Mold and hair in the bathroom. Food left in the fridge from previous people. Too expensive for how disgusting this place is. Only thing I was happy with was that the heater worked.

Only gave one star because I had too, or I wouldn't give them any!Called to book a reservation last night and the guy on the phone was very rude and stated, "get your plans straight then call back, I have someone calling in". So I got my plans straight the following morning and called and spoked to a lady which seemed really nice, i was asking her if we had a problem with our room such as bed bugs, or defective equipment if we could be transferred into a different room and she stated it is non-refundable that they spray once a month for bed bugs. I said, " so you can't put us into a different room?" and she said, "mam I am not taking your reservation, goodbye!" TERRIBLE! I should have known right off the bat that they were rude and wouldn't solve any issues I will not refer to anyone and looked at the reviews and so happy my family and I didn't stay there for our trip to Torch Lake!

Not the worst place I've stayed. The frigid temperatures caused our door lock to freeze. Outdated rooms with outdated heating and cooling. They did not supply shampoo or conditioner. No bugs, so that's a plus..

My boyfriend and I chose this motel for a weekend snowmobile trip. The motel is out dated, but for the cost it was fine for us. Clean sheets, hot shower, cold fridge, and the motel is next to the snowmobile trail. Consumer service was great, no complaints. Would stay here again for our next snowmobile trip.

Horrible customer service... The rooms were very run down. The beds had bugs in them... Very gross... My family and I did not stay there once we discovered bed bugs... I called them up and asked for a different roomroom. They acted like I was lying about bugs. I told them to not charge my card due to us not staying there and they still did. I was only able to recover a portion of the money back. I will never stay there again and will tell everyone I know how gross nasty and rude this place is.

Such a dive. Our room smelled horrible and one of the beds had dirty sheets. Someone from the office did come and change them when we called and she apologized, but why were they dirty to begin with, I wondered. There was hair and dirt on the sheets and it seems like they just didn't change them from the previous renter. Very outdated and just unclean, I will never stay here again.

Open WiFi but no internet for starters. Couldn't use my computer. Office closes at 10 pm so probably no one to call. I didn't get any info about what to do if I had a problem after 10 pm. Rooms are dated but adequate if you just want a place to sleep. My room smelled like garlic. I sprayed it with Lysol before going out, and it still smelled like garlic when I came back. No in room coffee but a refrigerator and microwave. It was pretty pricey for what I got, but not many options in this area, so I took what I could get. I probably won't stay there again.

You get what you pay for...not much. It was clean. My room did not have a dead bolt. The bed sheet did not actually cover the entire mattress. Microwave and mini-fridge, but overall a no frills hotel.

Reasonably priced in a perfect location for snowmobiling. Plenty of space to park a truck and trailer. Rooms are nothing special but we weren't there to spend time in a motel. Green Lantern bar is roughly 6 mi down the road for food and drinks and its right off of the trail.

Terrible motel for customer service. I was going to a snowmobile trip and it was the only motel close to the snowmobile rental. It was for 2 nights but we stayed only 1. we prefered to leave before to be seek... I rented a snowmobile. When I brought off it, I refueled at the top gas and oil. The desk personnel guy in the motel reception said me "it's okay, thanks". 3 days after, I received 15$ oil fees !!! so, better to find an other snowmobile rental company. The motel is very expensive for the services offered and the snowmobile rental is a thief !!!

Great place to stay! We rode to the motel by ATV and the location was great. The rooms were fairly clean and comfortable. The staff that helped us was very accommodating and helpful! Definitely will be coming back next year!

Just a good clean affordable place to stay. They have a room with 3 queen beds. It's nice to have your own bed! They have Wi-fi. Accurate trail report from staff. Beware that local night life is over at 9:00pm on a Saturday night and the only local food seems to be McDonalds. We drove 13 miles to Kalkaska and even Whitetails stopped serving food around 9:00 pm. The locals directed us to KalHo's in downtown Kalkaska. They have really good Pizza.

Great place to stay and ride trail is across street and the owners are very nice they will go out of the way to make sure your stay is nice. They also rent snowmobiles and have tones of trailer parking and close to stores and restraunts. We will be back

Like stated on someone elses.you get what you pay for.we got a room with two doubles.the say it was the newer section but still looked decored from the brady bunch.the wall above the headboards there was so much dust on the wall it actually had peoples names and grafitti written in the dust.good luck

Very deceiving. Hotel has decent curb appeal, however the rooms are very run down and not clean.
