What a delightful little charming place! I absolutely loved the decor and feel of Sadie's Ice Cream Parlor. It reminded me of an ice cream shop you would see in the 50's. In my experience, the service was fast and the staff was friendly. I went about mid-day in July and there were a few customers, but it was not packed. The seating is mostly indoors. There are a few benches outdoors where you could sit if you prefer, but most of the seating is indoors.The ice cream itself was pricey, for sure, but you do get a good amount. I ordered a coffee ice cream flavor and it was delicious. It doesn't have the creamy homemade taste, but I enjoyed it and it hit the spot after a warm day of riding bikes.

The staff was so amazing! They have do many different flavors and they did not get upset with us for taking our time choosing. The lilac was so good. Never had lilac ice cream. Of course, being at the island known for it's fudge. We got the fudge peanut butter and regular fudge ice cream.SO UNBELIEVABLE!!!! This place is a must!

Nice little ice-cream shop off the corner of the historic Grand Hotell.Unfortunately I didn't get to share the dish with you guys... it was too good I inhaled it hahaAltho they have great food they do not alow pets inside. So me and rocky had to wait outside. Witch was NOT bad at all it.is beautiful out here.

Ice cream here tasted good but was a little on the expensive side. The cost is made by the quantity though. Nice indoor seating with few seats on the outside. Staff was friendly and quick with my order.

This is a great place for ice cream. The waffle cones were homemade and the ice cream delicious. I would recommend the Mackinac Island fudge flavor. Staff was friendly and got to sample a few flavors to find the best one. Atmosphere inside is great with the decor complementing the Grand Hotel perfectly. Prices would be considered high for anywhere other than MI.

Maybe we just ordered the wrong thing, but we didn't even eat the ice cream fully, it was not good. Stars for looks though, super cute place just not tasty ice cream :(

The atmosphere here is a very old timey feel here. Bright whites, blacks and red color scheme. The place is named after a dog of the guy who built the Grand Hotel. Sadies is located in the corner of that hotel.They serve Hudsonville Ice Cream. I got the Carmel Sea Salt and it was excellent.The prices are high, but your on a tourist Island. $4.50 for 1 scoop plus a dollar for a waffle cone.Overall 4 1/2 stars. Loss of half is due to price. So I'll forgive and give 5. Would I return? Absolutely.

Very disappointing this year, they did not sell the pecan ball. That’s the Grands signature dessert. Staff was friendly when talking to them and there ice cream is very good. So if your looking forward to trying there signature pecan ice cream ball you will not be getting it out of Sadie’s any longer. I’m hoping next year they will bring it back!

Icecream is delicious! Guernsey Icecream from SE Michigan. Worth the trip to Mackinaw Island just outside the Grand Hotel, though it is quite pricy.

Very good ice cream and a nice selection of flavors and options. There is some indoor and some outdoor seating. Nice decor. What makes it really special is that is right on the side of the Grand Hotel, so you can say you've had ice cream at the Grand Hotel. See my pictures post for menu and prices.

Such a cute, cute ice cream parlor!! Super clean, nothing sticky or messy, very clean!! The decor is very quaint, much as you would expect from an ice cream parlor that's part of The Grand Hotel. And the best part is that the quality of their ice cream is SO GOOD!!! I'm not really an ice cream kinda gal so when I tell you it's good, it is!!! Five Stars ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Ice cream was not good at all, probably some of the worst ice cream I have ever had. I have had the original Guernsey Diary ice cream and this was nothing similar. Definitely not worth the hike all the way up to the Grand for Sadie’s.

The ice cream was okay but definitely overpriced, which was expected because it’s a tourist spot.This may be no fault of the parlor. But standing outside was a young black girl, who I believe may have been an employee of the Grand Hotel, standing in the heat for long periods of time.It was really hot outside at this time that it seemed somewhat inhumane to have her there for so long. Her lips were so white and chapped that I was worried she would pass out. I asked her if she could stand in the shade for a little and she said she had to stand there. Please let that young lady stand in the shade.

$9 for a single scope of ice cream in a sugar cone....ouch! It's ok ice cream, but nothing remarkable given the obscene price. So far this is my only negative experience on the island. There are sooo many alternative for treats, take the short walk to downtown and skip this one

Thank you to the young lady on June 29th with a heart of gold that was a true humanitarian and stuck her neck out for us to step in moments as they were closing the door at 1800(6PM). It was a only a two day Birthday visit, main purpose was to go horseback riding and have ice cream at the Grand Hotel. The horses were booked, ended up bike riding and caught in the rain. We ran into the ice cream parlor and didn't realize they closed so early. She spoke to manager and they decided they would serve us. I had Mackinaw island fudge ice cream ,of course ,and we enjoyed it while walking on the famous beautiful porch of the hotel watching the horses trot by. Thank you so much for your integrity. We are very grateful on this small act meant the world to us... We'll always remember you.

This is a must see when you're on the island. The ice cream is great! The atmosphere is very interesting, and the dog show memorabilia satisfied my love of competing in dog shows. The ice cream is a little more expensive than the rest of the island but the experience of it all, is worth the extra few dollars.

The ambiance is so cute and relaxing. Good amount of selection and the ice cream is very creamy. Recieved great service and big scoops. Very, very satisfied. Their chocolate peanut butter mackinac isaland fudge flavor is fantastic.

We just got back from our first visit to Mackinac Island, and after sampling many, many ice cream shops, we have to say that Sadie's proved our favorite. Because it's attached to the Grand Hotel, it is far enough away from the hustle and bustle of downtown that it's not quite as crowded. The ice cream was delicious, the staff were extremely cordial, and the decor was charming. If you had to pick one place at Mackinac Island for ice cream, I'd make it Sadie's.

No chocolate dog on top of sundaes anymore! Was just there on 9-27-22 and they have stopped putting little chocolate dogs on top of there sundaes. Felt so deflated after telling our friend about it only for them not to do it anymore. Think they have new owners cuz quality has gone down.Also every time I have gone I have never seen the dog it’s named after.

Stopped by while on a bicycle tour and visiting the island--the whole place is adorable and the staff were great. The staff member that served us (didn't get her name--she's from Poland and works on the island for the summer) was absolutely stellar, funny and friendly. Ice cream was great!

Ice cream was really good! A double was $11 which was a little pricey, but hey, it’s Mackinac island so what can you expect 🤣
