Ambience is great and food is delicious. We ordered crispy chicken sandwich and crispy shrimp basket. Crispy shrimp is amazing!! Staff is friendly and order arrived quickly. I highly recommend this place!

We went during the off season so not many other options were available lol.All our servers were super accommodating to us and our two kids which I always appreciate! Food was alright! Pizza was really yummy! My son had a hot dog THREE times. He seemed to enjoy it. We got some other food options and everything was pretty good overall but if you want "healthy" this isn't the place haha. They have a couple salad options but not much non-fried options outside that.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available!

This is a really fun joint to eat! Yeah, it's more expensive than McDonalds, and it takes longer too. Put your big boy pants on and enjoy the show. They are BUSY in the summer, so no, the waitress isn't going to stand there and listen to your life story and pretend to be your therapist for an hour. Richard will seat you where he can, as soon as he can. You can see the gears turning as he watches over tables and guests!We had a bit of a wait to get seated, but hey, it's busy. The three of us got seated at a table for four, so plenty of room for us. We had the BBQ brisket burgers, which were really good! We are planning on eating there this summer when we visit the island again.I recall reading somewhere long ago that perhaps Hemingway was on Mackinac Island, and that he ate there. I can't verify that at this point, but I could see him at the bar, that's for sure. Great atmosphere, just leave your big city Michelin star restaraunt attitude behind and get real.

Recently visited the island this past weekend and restaurant/bar hopped at night. When we went to Mustang's I had the Mustang Cider and my god it was delicious! It's one of their seasonal fall drinks so we were lucky enough to be there when they had it. It was amazing and is the main reason for this review! It was so good my husband couldn't stop sneaking sips, and we had to go back the next day to each get one for an afternoon pick me up. It tastes just like those caramel apple suckers, but it isn't overly sweet, has a great balance!Food wise, we only ordered some dips that I can't remember the names of. We were a little disappointed when the dips were served cold (it was meant to be cold, we just didn't realize it when we ordered it), but it was still good! The warmth from the naan bread made up for it though, and that bread is so delicious and soft! Will 100% go back!

We make a point of coming here every time we are on the island and they never disappoint. Our server, Cierra, was very friendly and food came out quickly. This time I had the fish and chips, which is three medium sized pieces of cod, beer battered and deep fried. It was a little bit more crispy than I usually like, but still very good. The crinkle cut fries were perfect. My partner had the shrimp basket and said they were very good and was the right sized portion. In past visits we have had their pizza and it is very good as well.

Ordered a hamburger and fries to split with my husband. The hamburger came 1/2 well done and the other half very red. Like only half was over a flame. Waitress didn't come back until we finally motioned her over. She looked at the meat and said that's the way we cook it ...medium unless we tell them otherwise.She obviously didn't see the half that was done.I said to her it's common knowledge to cook your hamburger all the way, and I asked her if she could show me on the menu where it said meat cooked medium unless otherwise specified. She said it's not on there that I should have asked for a well done hamburger.Again half was well and the other half very rare.

Friendly staff, good food, and fairly fast. We came in and I had a bacon cheeseburger, my husband had the fish & chips, and my niece had the Reuben. The Reuben was tender, juicy, and worth returning for.

This is a must stop if visiting Mackinac Island. Good food, friendly staff and great atmosphere. They do charge more if using a card over cash. It’s not too much more but makes it hard to swallow since, like anywhere else on the island, the menu is a bit pricey.

This little stop was so very worth it. The food was delicious and the staff was super friendly. We sat outside on the "porch" and it was nice. There is seating inside as well. They even provide bowls of water for the fur babies.

If I had to choose one restaurant to visit while on the island for food and drinks, it will be the Mustang Lounge. The staff are always friendly and attentive without being over bearing. The food is delicious and fairly priced. Food comes out quickly and hot! Cocktails are fantastic and every year we go and there is always something new to try. My wife and I have visited during summer and near off season(oct) and every time we were never disappointed by wait times, quality, and service.So after walking around and exploring what the island has to offer, go cool down at the Mustang Lounge with their nice air conditioning and a cocktail.

We were first time visitors to The Mustang Lounge. We chose it because it was dog friendly. It was the perfect day to stop in and eat on their outdoor patio. Nick, our server, brought a pitcher of water out to fill our travel dog bowl, then brought us two cold Short’s draft beers. We ordered a shrimp basket and a flatbread Cuban. Our food came out so fast and it was delicious!! We highly recommend this cute place. It is actually at the drop off spot for the carriage rides. Very convenient after your Mackinac Island tour.

Upon arriving, super disappointed to find out that the menu changed for the 2022 year. We came for their awesome spinach artichoke dip… Sad to find out that its been taken off the menu.Husband ordered an Old Fashioned, which was made using side water - not pleasant.We took a chance and ordered the hummus appetizer… also not pleasant. Tasted super watery and somehow… fizzy. A super random but accurate description.The kid‘s menu burger was simply a flat frozen patty. Edible for a hungry kid but wouldn’t order again.Server was nice but definitely not attentive.There are too many great restaurants on the Island to give this one a chance again.

I think this was the only restaurant open the first weekend of November when we were there. Standard type of bar food, lots of meat and carbs, two meals a day there did the trick of keeping us full.

The wait at this restaurant was pretty short, but the restaurant was pretty busy which was great. The service was great and the food even better. I think the atmosphere was okay, the inside could use some updates but overall still very comfortable. The food was great, however, could have had a bit more flavor. Overall, highly recommend this place.
