Rented the same bike two days in a row and it was great. The charge was $15/hour and they prorate the time, which is nice. The staff was friendly, everything was simple and well explained. The bike was well maintained and got me around the entire island (took about 55 minutes).All in all, a great experience.

Decent price and great quality bikes. We rented 3 tandems and had a wonderful time riding around the outer loop of the island. No problems at all and they let you rent by the hour and then prorate each hour after that. Highly recommend this place.

Rented two bikes off of them, and it was an A+ experience. The bikes were so smooth, and shifted nicely when biking up and down the hills of the island. It took us just under an hour to make it around the island with no stops. They have really nice employees!

Went on the perimeter tour today and had an excellent time! The tour guide was very knowledgeable about the island and made the excursion that much more exciting! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for an informative tour while also getting a chance to explore the island. 10/10

Prices here are slightly better than the nearby shops. Plus there's a bonus hour for half day rentals. (5th hour is free.) Comfortable seats on quality, easy to use bikes. Complimentary bottle of water. 5 stars.

Easy bike rental experience. Prices were good, rented the 7-speed cruiser bikes for 4 people and they were all in good condition and comfortable. Biking around the island is a must!! The perimeter is around 8.2 miles so it only took 1.5 hours to do it, if you have time... explore more but we had rented towards the end of the day. They also sanitized and wiped right in front of us so that was reassuring considering how busy they were.

Staff was very helpful and nice. Good tips for getting around the island. Check in and check out was very simple. They have a ton of bikes! The two bikes that we got were in good condition and we were able to outfit them with baskets as well.Take a trip around the island in one of their bikes, you won't regret it. Plus, a nice way to burn off some calories from the fudge.

Poor experience renting a bike here. Wanted a tandem to ride with my daughter. We received a tandem in very poor condition which ended up breaking down on us mid-ride. After contacting the front desk they told me they would send a mechanic within thirty minutes and stop my "riding clock." My daughter and I waited and waited.Though he didn't show up until 40mins, the mechanic was the only kind person I dealt with. Turns out they didn't stop the clock only deducted the "thirty minute wait" for the mechanic. I do not recommend renting from this facility.

BEST bicycle venue on the island!!!! Ms Gina and team were super helpful and took great care of our family of five. We arrived at the end of the day for a 48 hour rental and they took time to make sure we were all set. They also have the cutest dog on the island, say hello to Figgy when you stop in. Thank you Bike Barn team! See you next year!!!

Great place. Right on the main drag. Good prices, newer bikes and a very friendly staff that get you set up and off to riding on the island. 2nd time I rented from them and will do it again. So when you get your bike, turn to the left, toward the Grand Hotel. There will be less people. Everyone else seems to turn to the right.

Super friendly staff, tons of bikes available for all ages and they made adjustments for us as well. $8 to $13 per hour but the $8 21 speed comfort mountain bikes were great. The bikes were all in good shape and we had a great 8 mile ride!!

Wife and I visited towards end of season but loved taking out a couple of bikes around the island for a few hours. In our opinion its the best way to tour the island! We were able to go at our own pace and loop around seeing multiple points of interests. The staff was helpful, friendly and family owned! Thanks again and hopefully see you guys next summer!

Pros:-Nice folks-Free water and use of baskets IF you ask.-Their half-day rental includes 5 hours instead of most on the island that only give you 4 hours.-They gave us a courtesy call to let us know we had to turn the bikes back in by 6pm.-Locally owned.-Have a cool logoCons:-It seems like ALL the bike shops on the island are terribly disorganized...at least the two we rented from were.-If you plan to take them up on their offer for the half day rental be sure to ask about their closing time. We didn't and they called us to say we had one hour left on our rental. We planned on keeping them for 5 hours...nope.-Their "mountain bikes" were NOT traditional mountain bikes but instead women's multispeed cruiser-style bikes...for mountain bike prices. Others have actual Trek mountain bikes.-Shop was HOT and one of their coke coolers was not working.If you are on the island, don't overthink bike rental...they are all similar priced...but DO overthink fudge and wait until you get OFF the island and buy it at St Ignace or in Mackinac City...unless you plan on taking out a 2nd mortgage.

While visiting the island with our dog, his collar had come lose and required an adjustment. We weren’t prepared for such and visited this bike shop to see if they would loan us a screwdriver to fix his collar on site. He said he would not loan us a screwdriver. We asked if we could pay him for his services and he said again he would not loan us his screwdriver. We rephrased the question and emphasized we would pay him for the loan or to fix the collar. The old grey haired man was grouchy and unwilling to help.

We did not rent bikes here, but interacted with an employee in town.He hit me with a bike he was hauling in my back and then on my hand, (I was not injured, not a major deal except) when when my husband tried to let him know, he called him am a**, pulled his bike over and asked if my husband wanted to fight.This was the short version, but definitely perplexed by this gentleman's behavior.

We took a bicycle trip from South Bend, IN to Mackinac Island, MI over the course of 10 days. We needed to have our bikes boxed up so that we could put them under and Indian Trails bus to head home, and it just so happened that we were on Mackinac Island for Memorial Day (their 2nd busiest day of the year!). The owner and mechanic (Jaime) were both extremely helpful for boxing up our bikes, and they had them done in time for us to catch the ferry back to Mackinaw City. The staff was extremely laid back and friendly, and their customer service was second to none. After they boxed up our bikes, they put them in a little wagon and wheeled them over to where the ferry picks up which was above and beyond our expectations! They were a life-saver for our trip and helped us get home on schedule for a friend's wedding.After they were done boxing our bikes, we had about 20 minutes to kill, so we talked Jaime. During the winter months, he heads down to Florida to perform street magic. He showed us a few incredible tricks just using rubber bands. If you have some time to talk to the staff, it is definitely entertaining and fun.

Nice bike rentals. The coupon we had was explained differently then what was actually discounted...that difference was pretty substantial. It would have been nice to know that before we rented the bikes. Outside of this, the staff was very cordial.

It was a nice place and awesome shop but when I rented a stroller for my child, it was very dirty with food crumbs in the seat and dirt/poop in the bottom.

Do NOT go if you are on an electric bike and also get permissio to ride it there. I was stopped by a police officee and ordered to pull the battery out of my bike. He didnt care if i was handicapped.
