Very reasonably priced market on Mackinac island! Great prepared food selections too. Salads, sandwiches, pizza, soups, coffee ready made to buy and go eat as a picnic right across the street, on the grass of the fort. Always our 1st stop for an over night stay too for snacks and beverages for the room. Great beer and wine selection. If you forget to pack any needed essentials they have those too!

The only grocery store on the Island. They have everything you need if staying.It is also America's AND. Michigan's oldest grocery store. The history alone is worth the visit. Even a nice pizzeria in the store!

Doud’s Market is America’s oldest family operated grocery store that resides on Mackinac Island, Michigan. It has everything your heart desires from fruits, vegetables, deli, cheese, to beer, wine and spirits. I bought drinks and was able to check out quickly at the self serve. If you’re on the island, step back in time, soak up some history and shop at Doud’s.

Great selection of foods. They have a lot of reasonably priced premade meals(both hot and cold) that you can grab including subs, pizza, hotdogs, wraps, salads, and even foods that you can heat up in a microwave in the back of the store. We love grabbing food here and eating in the park.

This is a cute grocery store. We found strawberry chicken salads in a cooler to eat for dinner. The people working here were friendly. I imagine this is where you would by groceries if you lived on the island.

Stopped in to look around in July and fell in love with the feel. But more importantly I was impressed by the sheer variety of items. The variety not only is a plus to those who live there full time or seasonally but also for the tourist like me. The staff was super friendly which made buying that much more enjoyable.Something must be going in their favor when they clearly are America’s oldest grocery store!!

This grocery store is legit! They have just about everything you would need. I went to the grocery store off island in the city & they didn't have a fraction of this grocery store!I love this place

In search of fresh fruit and water. This place must be a revenue gold mine. A wide variety of food and supply for the tourist trap Mackinaw Island but really a $5 can of soup? Self checkout a plus the place is busy all day.

Such a well organized and well stocked grocery store. They have anything you might need if you're staying on the island. It's America's oldest family owned grocery store, which is pretty awesome! The location is great, too!

It is the oldest grocery store in America and still in the Doud family. It is a staple and stalwart establishment on the Island and with the store's still somewhat recent expansion, the selection continues to impress as does the neighborly staff.

Grabbed lunch at the local grocery store. Was a little disappointed with the hot chicken sandwich, it was a chicken patty with cheese on a bun. Otherwise if you need food supplies this is your only option on the Island. They did have a good assortment of food to chose from.

Excellent resort grocery. As another reviewer said, it's so much better than what I found on the mainland. They had a good small meat section for one thing. Decent produce for another. I didn't hate shopping there! Got two items for dinner and carried them back on the ferry.

Lots to choose from, including produce and baked goods. Juices, treats, and groceries. They had several vegan bakery treats. Service was fine, prices were high but what do you expect on an island.

They had a cooler that we needed which was great for taking home the fish we caught on EUP Charters. Nice little store, perfect for the travelers trying to save a little money on food while staying on the island.

This store has a little bit of everything. A little pricey on some things, but understandable since it all comes over on the ferry. Good lunch option- cheeseburgers, brats, chicken sandwiches, pizza and cold subs. We picked up lunch here a couple times and took it over to the benches at Marquette park to eat.

They have everything you need and it’s reasonable. However, what the real point of this review is: you NEED to grab before leaving a home made cookie (sugar, chocolate chip or m/m) whoopie pie. Once you get your fill of fudge or ice cream, go pick one or container up. You will not regret it.

I love Doud's Market. They always had everything I needed when I lived on the island for a summer position. They have a wide range of products/ food. They now have faster check-out with self scan as before it was two registers and it would get so backed up. Getting in and out is much more smoothly. They are open year round as well.

Great selection of so many things you can use. Choice of meats alone is worth a look. The staff was all friendly and knowledgeable of products and the locations. Great selection of booze, wine and beer if that is your thing. I am honored to shop at the oldest grocery store in the country!

Visited Doud's Market to get some refreshments to cool down. The store is well organized and has plenty of groceries for all types of food at fair market value. Give Doud's Market a stop while on Mackinac Island!

The only grocery store on the Island, it has some options for vegans. We bought rancid cut up melon from here, and they refused to let us return it. Not many other options besides fruit for vegans. It was disappointing.

So lucky to have it on the island!!! Good selection and yes some prices are awful but other things are normal prices. I like the beer selection and the meats are very nice. Lots of grab and go. We no longer have to bring groceries over for Gaylord (unless it's the winter and then you need to bring your own produce).
