I love this place. The place itself could use some TLC but the product selection, amenities, and deli is awesome. Try their pizza if you haven't.

We just became seasonal campers this year at Luzerne. My husband and I are loving it! The campground is well maintained. Mark and his staff are just the best! The store is well stocked and offers all the amenities and then some! Great neighbors, great scenery, truly relaxing. What more could you want?

Every year the campground is clean, and we are able to reserve our site before we get there. It's right on the river.

Great staff. Very convenient for when I'm at my property. Can usually find what you need there. If they don't have it most of the time they can tell you where you can find it.

Staff is friendly, facilities are clean. We were traveling the orv trails and didn't have a reservation. No issues walking in and getting a site. We only stayed one night. Personally we wouldn't do an extended stay. The modern bathrooms are only available while the store is open, otherwise was there are porta John's throughout the campground. The showers are also in the store and limited to the store hours. Plus the showers cost $ - quarters. $2 will get you a 6 minute shower.

Totally ripped people off for the holiday weekend. Got smaller bags of ice and still charged the same price for way less. They do have good biscuits and gravy, the custard donut was good apple fritter sucked. But laundry and shower facilities

We rented 2 sites and 8 horse corrals. The sites were spacious with water and electric hookup. The campground has great access to the Luzerne section of the MI Shore to Shore Horse Trail. The staff is not knowledgeable about horses but they are very accommodating to your requests. The store is well stocked. The downsides are that you had to buy quarters to use the showers. The shower fixtures need upgrades and your money will not be refunded if the coins jam. The showers and bathrooms are in the store and the showers and bathrooms close when the store closes. We were not interested in using the outhouses staged throughout campground. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

This place has just about anything you need. Great little store for the middle of up north. Pretty much the only game in town..although the ACE Hardware is very nice for a small town and Ma Deeter's never disappoints.

1st time at the Luzerne Express campgrounds. Very nice place. Large sites to accommodate even the large trailers. No need to haul wood, they will deliver a large crate directly to your site for a reasonable priceđź‘Ťđź‘Ť. Great place to go if you're looking to have some fun with good friends. Not so much for the 10pm lights out, get to bed jerk types. I would say everyone was respectful of the rules. Found the grocery store with everything you need (deli, meats and camping supplies) Large well-maintained bathrooms in store. Rented the 2 seater razors from the store. What a total rush on the trails. Definitely can't wait to do that again. The only Improvement I would like to suggest is the dumping station. Needs hose ends to properly flush tanks.Special thanks to Mark the owner, super nice guy.

This place was absolutely garbage. The nicest thing about it was the expired hand sanitizer in the port-a-potties. Oh, the store was amazing, too. The store had pretty much everything one would need. Plus they made pretty good breakfast. The camp sites are small. We had 4 of them with 3 tents and and a tiny camper. There wasn't even enough room. We rented from here because the pictures they had for advertising looked larger than they actually were, which I seen from other reviews now is a common occurrence. The showers, for starters, you have to pay to use. 2$ for 5 minutes. 1$ for every minute after, but, these showers were the nastiest looking things. Theres some bathrooms in the back by the showers. One bathroom had poo on the toilet seat for 2 days. There was mold or something growing on the ceilings and floors. The floors were warped. There was hair in the showers, which granted I do understand there was other people. But, no reason it should have been in there as long as it was. And the bathrooms reaked. The tank they get their water from was appalling. I unfortunately didn't get a picture of that. But, it had so much of what looked to be orange mold and severe rust damage. When calling to set up the reservations, they told us 32$ for the sites, so we set it up. We got there, and after paying, they came to out site and told us we were charged the wrong amount and made us pay more money. Then, wanted to charge for EVERYTHING. Garbage disposal, putting your OWN canoe in a lake. There are signs saying no "joy riding." And we were told we were only allowed to ride on their designated trails. Because, "imagine how we'd feel watching people do that all day and not being able to do it." Okay, no big deal. We don't mind. Except, if you rent an ATV from them, you can ride it wherever you want? There was a large group of people who were riding around in them the entire time we were there and weren't told they couldn't ride around the site? One woman told my sister if we rented from them, they don't care where you ride. So, pay them a buncha money for their stuff and we can joy ride, but not on our own? Sorry not everyone has thousands of dollars to rent from them.We did have a good time on the trip, regardless how bad this place was. So, one star is warranted.

Great campground. All employees and owner were so friendly and helpful. My sister rented a fifth wheel trailer, and they were immediate on responding to any concerns she had. The sites were decent size. Wish there was a playground or something for the kids, but overall great campground. Loved the fact that the store was right there, so convenient. Porta Potty was super clean too!

Camping was nice. Friendly people. They don't have a shower house, you have to pay to use it. If the would put one in the place would be perfect . Easy access to the trails and an everything you need store. Would definitely go back!

Very close to ORV Trails, super convenient. The store upfront of the campground has anything you may have forgotten or need. Great selection of everything. The overall campground was very clean. The bathrooms inside need some cleaning, very gross. The size of the lots will fit any rig nicely. My family and I were planning on staying for a week. We left early because our neighbors were VERY obnoxious and had no recognition of Quiet Time being at 11pm. I complained to the owner and he said he had talked to them about the noise. Of course we didn’t want any issues with our neighbors that is why I went to the owner and warned him if this happens again 2 nights in a row, something will be said by me. Unfortunately this is what happened and why we left. Everyone is paying to camp and have a good time not be disrespectful towards other campers and keep them up all night long. With that being said, their is no host/management at night time to handle any situation that may go wrong, such as loud, obnoxious drunkenness. It’s basically a free for all, people ride loudly on golf carts and four wheelers during the night. Music is being cranked with no thought of others. Even though signs staring “No Joyriding”, “Semi-Quiet Time 10:30 PM” and “Quiet Time 11PM”. If you’re looking for a place where you would like no sleep, no management and love to listen to drunk people all night, this is the place for you. Many people packed up and left for this same reason unfortunately. I would look elsewhere. Such a disappointment.

I would have giving it a higher rating if it wasnt for the foul Mouth Cashiers. Cussing infront of small KIds inside Store wasnt cool at all. Sites are nice and the Trails are very convenient. They will deliver your Wood and also come to your Site to empty Tank ( $ 15 Charge). Dumping was free. Overall not to bad.

They do have a set up for horses if you're bringing yours north to camp...but horses have no shade at all. Picket polls and small pens. Right by shore to shore trails so lots of area to ride it. I would have gave it 5 stars but no shade for horses was bad and the site they put us on was no where near our horses.

I have camped here several times. Camp sites are clean and spacious. Pets are allowed and they have accommodation's for horses. Campground is next to ORV/ATV trails. They have ATV's they rent by the day at a reasonable price. Luzerne Express has a full grocery store and they have a restaurant inside the store that offers a big meal on a small budget. The staff is friendly and the bathrooms are clean.

Never in my life have I've seen a place as bad as this. Made reservation for rustic site and I guess I should have known how bad it was going to be based on price alone ($8.00) per night. The place looked like a RV graveyard, where RV"a go to die and the location is HORRIBLE (behind a gas station,). However, if you prefer to hang out with trailer trash then this is the place for you. I cancelled my reservation and asked for my money back, I only hopes that happens

Nice campground close to the Ausable. There's porta-johns near every campsite, the place is clean and the store upfront has everything you'll need for a weekend stay. The campground was very quiet past 11pm and mostly consisted of campers or RV's. Still worked fine for tents. You will hear ATV's screaming past you at 8:01 though. It is the perfect campground for ATV riders and horseback riding. There are showers up front at the store but they say 10 minutes for $2. We all found that was not the case. I timed it and it was 5 minutes for $2. They could have been a little bit cleaner but when you're in the woods, it doesn't really matter.Overall, a good choice for weekend camping.

Nickel and Dimed to death. If you pay a camp fee it usually includes dumping your holding tanks and placing trash in the bins. Not here!. Each bag cost money and there is a fee to dump your tanks. The showers also cost money. This would not cause me that great of concern except they were FILTHY AND DISGUSTING!. If I am paying money to use a shower then I believe it should be fairly clean.I was quoted one price on the phone and made to pay a higher price upon arrival. No one respected quiet times because no one enforces it. I was placed in a muddy pit they called a campsite.I also utilized Parmalee Trading Post (which is the same owner) to take us to the river and pick us up. They were 45 minutes late for pick up the first day and 30 minutes late the next day with gear that was in desperate need of significant repair if not a total replacement. They also took quite a while to come to the pickup site once we exited the river. This is not a campground I will ever stay at again nor will I ever recommend to anyone.

Best place in the Luzerne/Mio area to stay. Mark and staff are always so polite and helpful. If you have an off-road vehicle this is the place for you. The Express has some of the best pizza I've ever had. We broke our UTV and still had fun with their Polaris 900 rental. The 24 hour pricing is an excellent deal.
