I have been using this store as my main groomer for two years now. I have a special needs dog and really love the groomer who works there. However the store policies are a bit crazy. I made my appointment online and the next available was three weeks out for my two dogs. I dropped them off promptly off at 10 am to the store. At 5 pm when I hadn't heard anything I called the store several times and no one was picking up. Finally got ahold of a manger and they let me know that the dogs should be ready soon. 6 pm called back again and asked when they would be done. She let me know that they were still working on them. I explained to the manager that my dogs had been there for 8 hours and if I had known it would be this long, I would have left food for them. I also asked why is was taking so long. She said they had a lot of "walk-ins" today. I asked her why walk-in take priority of someone who had an appointment. She let me know that it was a corporate policy. 7 pm came and still not ready. I sent my partner to the store to get the dogs. They were not ready until 8 pm. TEN HOURS MY DOG WAS AT THE STORE!!!! I could not believe it. We again asked why this was happening, and again we were told it was a corporate policy to take walks in and nail trims first.The next day, I tried to call corporate to make a formal complaint about this policy. I had to try three different numbers but finally got ahold of someone. They let me know that it was not a corporate policy but a store policy. That I needed to speak with the owner of the store. They said they would reach out to them and had them call me. Two days went by and no call. I called them again and asked for the person to call me. Its been two weeks and no call. I will never shop at pet supply plus again. I am getting my food from Chewy's and we are finding a new groomer. I love supporting a local Michigan business, however not when they jerk you around.

Do not buy feeder crickets from this store. They falsely sell small crickets as large. You are better going to pet smart or petco. They actually sell you large crickets. This store has no clue. Below is a photo of their “large crickets”, not even the size of a dime.

I have always spent $25 for the card to bath our pet. I go to defiance Ohio store and they say it’s a $40 card now for same amount of washes. Saaaaay what?! So I said that’s fine I guess. Then he hands me a card that says it’s $25 for five washes and he says that’s the old cards. Well that’s false advertising and pretty sure a customer could get their money refunded because of that. Then I go to wash my dog and there’s literally 2 pounds of hair in tub and water is sitting stagnant with hair everywhere. I understand a customer left that however you should check work stations before a customer leaves to ensure they cleaned up after their pet. Also barely and soaps available they were empty bottles. Oh and the shower nozzle takes some pure old man strength just to turn on. Not happy with this store. You bump prices for self wash almost a 50% increase and your area still looks like a hair explosion. Management is lacking at this location for sure. This was it for us we’re done. Wash my dog at home for free.

I've been going back and forth to the Toledo Ohio Reynolds/Airport location once a week for about a month looking, asking for the $1.48 dog treats only to find the two bottom rolls always empty, and when asks, I get serval answers that are not sufficient to product meeting demand. Now I shop there because its lest than a mile from my home but, lately I've been disappointed .

Qwk KY helped me find a harness for my puppy that works great with the very cute red gray black (Ohio State ) coat we bought by Play on. It has a black felt liner that snaps to the outer insulated garment. It fits him to a T. He is around 12 # , a mini golden doodle.

Placed order on 12/27/23 pickup supposed to be in approximately 1hr. Received email for pickup on 12/30. Went to pickup. Received 1/2 of what I ordered and they voided coupon.

Absolutely the worst. Took my two dogs into the Delaware Ohio store to have them groomed. They refused to groom one of my dogs because she becomes stressed when her legs are groomed and the veterinarian prescribed a low dose of trazodone for her when she is getting groomed. They said it is corporate policy that they can’t groom her. She is not stoned falling down or even sleepy it simply reduces her stress. They also don’t treat the dogs ridiculous. We were just waiting for a reputable groomer to have a spot open so we thought we would give them a try. Never again will we support this business

Have gone to the store many many times since it opened. I have a lot of four legged family members and fish. Always had a very good experience and always supported the local store. I had a lot of respect for the ownership. The staff has always been great and store is always clean. Unfortunately, I had an issue that wasn’t handled correctly and it left me upset and not wanting to do business with the store in the future. I made a purchase of over $250 worth of pet supplies. I asked if there were any coupons that I could apply and was told no. I paid and the very next day a coupon came out for 10% off my entire purchase. I called the store to see if they could apply the 10% off coupon to my purchase and was told “No”! I politely told the manager that I could just return the items and repurchase them using the coupon. She said she had to check with the owner, to which she claims the owner said no. I informed her that I was going to return all the items and she told me that I couldn’t repurchase them, which is ridiculous! I returned the items, told the manager they lost a good customer of many years and left disappointed. To lose a good, loyal customer over a return and repurchase using a valid coupon just isn’t good business..

They lost a customer today.Store is located in shopping center at the corner of 211 and Midway Rd. Bolivia, NCAfter buying an engraved Pet tag and silencer (plastic piece that goes around the tag)It has been about 4 months, the numbers are worn off and the silencer broke and fell off.They refuse to do anything. Say they have know way to contact the corporate office because the owner said not to call them, ever.They won't give out the owners name because they were told "not to bother him with customers problems".This is a franchise that apparently answers to no one. What a way to ruin a business.Look up the reviews on the Pet Supplies Plus website, MOSTLY NEGATIVE IN MULTIPLE STORES!Go to any other pet shop in the Oak Island/Southport area.There are several that will all be glad to have you as a customer.

I worked for pet supplies plus store 4416 in Gainesville ga. And the management is horrible. I would get to work and have to sit in the parking lot sometimes up to an hour waiting for someone to unlock the doors so I could start work and the two managers would run off during my shift together supposedly going to the bank , and we wouldn't see them the rest of the day .it was the most childish place I've ever worked for I don't even want to give it one star. And the pay was horrible.

I have waited 2 months to write this review. ( I was giving the company the benefit of the doubt.) I had been purchasing dog food from the Bolingbrook Il location for years. However after the company changed their buy 11 get your 12th bag free policy and added ( within a year to it.) I essentially was going to lose out on a free bag of dog food. Naturally I was very upset. Especially because the only reason I missed the within a year mark was because I lost my dog and didnt need to buy food for 3 months. Mind you there was never anything stating that in order to receive your free bag of dog food you had to make all purchases within a year. I will say that there was a very nice employee who attempted to add all of the bags that I had accrued onto my account even though I missed the 12 month mark. However, for some reason most of them never actually showed up on my account. I have emailed corporate and talked to the store numerous times and we are now going on almost another month of no response I am convinced that there new way of keeping track of rewards is a scam. The numbers just don’t add up. I absolutely will not be shopping at this store anymore. Back to chewy I go. It’s so much more convenient and They actually answer the phones, respond back and rectify situations like this. I gave 1 star because of the employee who at least tried to help.

Southgate Michigan pet supplies plus is a joke.. I will never be back. The cashier are and employees are all teenagers who have the worst attitudes and absolutely no work ethic. It’s disgusting in the store. Nothing on the shelves are in the correct spot and when you take it to the counter thinking it’s on sale and it comes up full price they make you go back to shelves and search the shelves for the correct sticker to match your products. The manager deb just stands back while the rude cashier disrespectfully tells you that your stupid for not matching the sticker to the product. 0/5 stars if it were possible, don’t waste your time in this store.

They have what they call a "Neighbor Services Team"....haha...they forgot to hire the team!!!! There is no one there and they will not return your calls.If you buy here for the rewards, go somewhere else. They will NOT help you. It is really expensive so you kind of NEED the rewards. I feel really sorry for the workers at the stores...I will be surprised if this place lasts, at least my store. You have to have SOME customer service if you advertise you do..don't you?

Fix your online ordering! I bought expensive dog food on sale for my diet restricted dog. I cannot afford it at full price. Order went through fine, you took my money no problem, get to store & they’re out of stock! So I have to buy another size at regular expensive price - leave with a lesser amount of food than I ordered - and wait several days for refund that better come in ! Not to mention just had surgery and didn’t need the extra hassle.Fix your system!

I recently placed a $96.00 order for my pets online and I was going to pick it up later. I put in my coupon code ( 25%off) and it didn’t take it. I called the store and told the employee what had happened and she relayed it to her manager. I was expecting some help instead of the reply I received. The manager basically told her to tell me that I would have to come in the store to use the coupon as the transaction had gone through. So, I told her to cancel the transaction as I wasn’t spending that much without my discount. She said they would, but I asked if I could stay on the line until it was done! So, they canceled it. My question is, if the manager had wanted to be of help at all, why couldn’t she have canceled the transaction and rang it back up using my coupon code? She had all the information in the computer. People just don’t want to go the extra mile anymore. These stores are getting bad reputations because of their employees and their work ethics! What a shame!!!!

40lb bag jumped to $7012 case of cans went from $26 to $40.Self wash went from $20 to $25 to $40!!! This is unbelievable. For 5 washes I do myself. Then I had to clean before I got to use. There were used towels piled. The floor was covered in mud and clumps of fur I had to rinse before I could use. Longtime customer no more

But I will never use Pet Supplies services again and will tell everyone how bad is their service.I brought my dog for grooming service and they asked for rabies vaccination, what is understandable. I tried to explain that we brought it last time ( our appointment was just the next day after doctor’s visit) . The manager Adrian Trujillo didn’t bother even to check. I went home and brought the papers, but they didn’t take my dog, because we were late 8 minutes!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I will put my review on every possible site, of course I switched to different company, but I am asking the administration if you are not afraid of losing many customers with service like this!!!!!Galina Ranceviene

We have been going to pet supplies plus for a year now. Spent a few hundred at least.Bought an enclosure for our bearded dragon that came with everything including heat lamps.Well the heat lamp burned out premature at 1.5months. That's too soon, 3-4 months is more like it. But I need a bulb today for my guy so-Called the local store for a reasonable replacementfor the fluke lamp but they said hands are tied, blamed corporate for 30 days warranty.Called corporate, same thing. They won't do anything because 30 days. Oh but they offered a coupon which I took. Got off the phone and it's been 2 hrs. No coupon in email. Apparently never sent.So I called them back. Funny, they won't answer now. Called 10 times because the wait is only a minute before goes to the mailbox.Wow guys. No wonder amazon is taking over. There's no appeal to local buying! Local prices are higher and customer service is bad.I will not be buying from them again. All because they can't handle a simple bulb replacement and would rather dig their heels in.

Visited the store in Kettering Ohio on Friday, 9/25. Attempted to return a glow fish bubble light that stopped working after three weeks. I purchased two of them a few weeks apart. Bottom line, I was told that it was past the thirty days and they would not even issue store credit. As a customer with two cats, four fish \, and a dog, I spend an enormous amount of money every 5-6 weeks. I told the cashier "Kristy (?) to"keep it then - it's junk," and she proceeded to make a snarky comment as I was walking out. I decided that I wanted it back to call the maker of the product and came back asking for it within one minute. I was met with personal insults and statements that she doesn't "feel comfortable." After I replied that I didn't "feel comfortable" losing money, she told me never to come back to the store. This was in front of other customers and two other workers who just stood there looking shocked. I have never been spoken to like that! This was unbelievably disrespectful and appalling that a retail business would respond to an unhappy regular customer this way. Absolutely shocking, embarrassing, and unbelievable! There is no amount of money worth saving to ever visit that store or any of your stores again if this is acceptable customer service in your company

Went to the Pet Plus on Morris Turnpike in short Hills used to be a nice store it’s dirty and it smells and they they said oh it must be the ferrets I don’t think so the whole store smelled. And the dust I went to get my Amazon his parrot food first of all when I saw the price $39.95 that’s outrageous you could get it any other place for less just don’t go by demographics everybody does comparative shopping nowadays and I see the rest of your reviews and they’re horrible chill so what I say what I think you should do is go to your stores I’m surprise the Board of Health didn’t come in there I mean it it just looks so uncapped the minute you walk through the door it just stinks so do something about it you got a big store there it’s got to be cleaned your shelves your products have to be dusted I mean it’s just terrible. And if you don’t have enough help hire a company to clean it there are people out there that make stores look and smell desirable.

I went there today and there was a ferret in the back that was not cleaned and had no food. I called attention to the matter and 30 minutes later the ferret had still not been fed. When I went to talk to the person in charge she said that she was told to open the store and not feed the animals. This is abuse. The bottom dollar is that the pets come first.

Had a horrible experience. Wanted to buy a hamster for my daughter. I was denied the ability to look at any of the Hamsters and had to purchase site unseen. When we got the hamster and were not satisfied, we tried to return it. It had a small cut above its eye and I was confronted and told that I was unable to return the hamster because of the injury. The manager told me they inspect the animals every few hours and it had to have happend at my house, however, when I was there purchasing, the store associates did not even know what color the hamsters were. There were only 3 available. I am not sure how they do an inspection on the pets if they dont even know what color they are.....very dis-satisfied. I have walked out of this store 4 times now because of the way a certain manager has treated other customers other than myself...Northlake store in Lake Park. I have over 5 pets and will never go here again. Petsmart is my new home.

I have been a customer for over 5 yrs. When I started shopping the Purina Pro Plan 16 lb bag of cat food was 27.00. Last month I was charged 52.00. This month they wanted 57.00. When I called Purina today they said the cost to retail is less than half of that cost!! So, now I have to find another company that wont rip me off!

Since you decided to do the Fromm's food program digitally, I cannot use my proof of purchase at the store. I adopt senior dogs with special needs. I rely on shopping at several stores to get the best deals on dog food so I can take that money and put it aside for vet visits, meds and surgeries. My passion is to take seniors out of shelters and give them the best I can. I don't think you thought this through. I feel it was based on greed. I am no longer a customer. I will let my circle of senior rescuers and mill dog rescuers know your decision. Also you will also be losing older customers who do not do technology.

Stand behind your product. When the air conditioner that keeps the fish at temperature during transport to the stores goes out, let's not roll the ball on if those fish will live. The manager told me herself! $200 of fish died within a month of purchase with THREE water samples approved by Medina, OH store. I did not want a check back, nor the $50 gift certificate offered. Just the fish from my receipt replaced. Our few thousand dollars a year won't truly affect your business in any manner, it's the principal. It's time big business realized that.

Deeply saddened to write this review, but this has to be said. A week ago at the Phoenixville, PA location I stopped in this store to get a new filter sponge for my tank. As a fish lover I rarely stop myself from looking at what fish are in their tanks. I originally noticed all filtration was off and none of the tanks provide a simple 2 dollar air stone either. I assumed they were doing simple maintenance because I turn my filters off as well to clean my tanks. Today I found out this was not the case. I walked into the store to find still cloudy dirty water in the tanks, fish that normally are docile frantically moving and swimming to the top of the water for air and then crashing into the glass or the gravel bottom due to the lack of space, and as always, a good amount of dead fish in the tanks. The part that really got to me was their total lack of information telling customers these fish are not for sale due to possible disease now being carried due to still water, excessive ammonia levels and temperature drops just to name a few. Guess what, THEY ARE STILL SELLING THESE FISH! Hello everyone, if you buy a fish from this location you are not only bringing home a more than likely parasite filled/ bacteria infested fish- but you are also going to have those things spread in the waters of your own tanks and hurting your current fish. This is not the first time I have seen horrific things from this store. Just over a month ago I noticed almost half of the feeder fish (at least 100 ) dead and attached to the filter and was told it was a bad shipment they received a couple days prior. I mean take them out at least! This is absolutely animal abuse and after today I am stopping my purchases from this location and advise anyone who isn't in favor of animal abuse to do the same. Shame on them, and shame on the company who does nothing about it.

I can not give this company more than two stars. I normally buy my dog's food from Petco, however, pet supplies plus was right there. So for me it was convenience. I normally do not buy from pet supplies given the history I've had with them in the past. But like I said "convenience". So I bought 1 can of Merrick pate dog food from them thinking my fur baby should be ok, given them the benefit of the doubt that maybe last time was a bad batch... unfortunately I was wrong...so my boy is puking 4 days straight now and nothing I give him stays down. I buy the same Merrick pate dog food from Petco and my baby is normally fine, no puking involved. I have no clue why this happened but I am never buying from pet supplies plus ever again.Petco only!

An awful place with sad employees, filthy cages and hateful managers. They have no corporate oversight so anything goes within the store. They recently had a corporate retreat down in Orlando that was so out of control the police had to be called. So if you’re wondering why entering one of these awful stores is a soul draining experience, this is why. The place is rotten from the top to the bottom.

The Pet Supplies Plus in Brooklyn Ohio is HORRIBLE. Ever since Angel and Christina left, new management plainly sucks. The corporation spent all this money rearranging the store INSTEAD OF using that money to hire POLITE employees. I can't rely on your store for anything anymore. I called today and told the groomer I would be there between 4 and 4:30 pm today. I get there at 4:10 pm and the idiot running the store said " oh, I guess she left for the day " then continued talking on the phone. I have given this store plenty of chances to make things right. Time after time they just don't care. They will care when this hits social media. It's sad because I have taken our dogs there for years.......not anymore. HIRE A MANAGER WHO IS CUSTOMER ORIENTED, for starters.
