Stopped in April 22 2024 on my home from North..I had $45 scratch off winners I wanted to cash in .Must be under new ownership as I had stopped there several times before. There was a Foreign gentleman behind the counter, India or Arab..I said I would like to cash these tickets..He scans them and then asks me how much they were worth.. Looked at me like he was hoping I didn't know...I said $45..I said I would like 4 of these $5 scratch offs and $25 cash..He scans them and then says I don't have $25 cash..I said you don't have $25 ? He says no.He pulls out a piece of paper and says these are on sale you can buy $25 worth..I said I don't want to buy those I want $25 he says I don't have it..I said well then give me my tickets back and I will go somewhere else.. Suddenly he opens his cash drawer and says see..I look, he had plenty of cash..I said you have plenty of cash. He finally pulled it out and gave it to me..Bottom line I would not shop here.. Don't seem to be to honest

Do not go there. I called there to see if they had the Crown Royal Blackberry. They said they only had one bottle left. I showed up, and then the guy at the counter was trying to tell me it was going to be $79.99 for the last bottle. Everywhere else has it for $29.99-$34.99 when in stock. I told the gentleman this, and brought up prices from both Kroger and Meijer. The guy then changed his story to well we have 3 bottles left. You told me you had 1 bottle left. The guy told me he had to call the “owner” of the store. He acted like he was on the phone with someone. He was talking in a different language. He removed the phone from his head and the screen lit up. He was not on the phone with anyone. He just acted like he was calling someone and then told me that the “owner” has another store where they are selling the Crown Royal Blackberry for $99.99 a bottle and told me he was not allowed to go lower. I would not recommend going there

This place is awful. It used to be a meat market. And a family store. Now it's been bought by people from India and it's full of liquor. So if you want to drink your dinner instead of eat it I guess this is the place for you. It smells like old blood. I was very disappointed, and sad at what it has become.If it was still a meat market I was ready to spend $250 there. But they will not get my business ever!

This used to be a great market, especially for jerky and meat. Since the sale a couple of years ago, the market is not worth visiting anymore. We have made several visits hoping to find improvement but it just keep getting worse. Hardly no employees or inventory anymore. So sad.

The new owners ran this place to the ground. Walking in there it smells like something died! The meat looks old and dried up. The sandwich spread which used to be the best around was white! Gross. I will never be back.

When u walk in the new owners are very friendly and ask u how u are doing. I then make my way 2 the meat counter and get a 2# container of sandwich spread. They kept the recipe the same as previous owners and it tastes like my Grandma made it! Meat prices there are high...but the quality is obvious!

No. Just no. Nothing like it used to be. The selection is terrible; only three different cuts of steaks. You are bombarded to choose quickly. It's wasn't warm, it's wasn't welcoming. It's a shell of what it used to be.

There are new owners. I’ve been going to rickers for 4 years now (since I moved to town) the new owners have ran the store into the dirt! The meat is never fresh anymore and if it looks fresh wait til u get it home (they put the brown meat inside the fresh meat) I’ve even gotten steak that was blue on the edges as I do go in there often I’m going to speak on multiple occasions I’ve had bad experience. The new owners asked me to write a review on their fb because they have been getting so many bad reviews on google and fb and as bad as I wanted to I could not get on here and lie to everyone bc when I got home that day I noticed the smuckers candied pecans I bought expired a year ago. EVERYTHING is expired, I went to get bosco sticks in December of 2023 but they expired in August. So if you do decide to go in there check your meats! And DEFINITELY check expiration dates bc they haven’t changed out the products since the old owners left. Rickers used to be the only place I’d buy meat from.. now I settle for besons down the road.

Got brats last night meat tasted off ended up being on the toilet all night definitely had to bad meat becuase I didn't eat anything besides the brats that day, hoping to save someone the trouble I went through

One of the best meat markets I have shopped. Customer service is amazing, large quality selection of products, fair prices, and just a top notch meat market in my opinion. Chicken thighs/breasts have all been huge chunk of meat, beef steaks are worth every penny I think, all brats are fresh and delicious I believe... Dang makes me hungry for grilled food every time I think of Ricker's market. Keep up the good work. I shop here often.

Ever since the new owners took it over from the rickers it has went downhill!!! Me and my family don't go there anymore everything is way overpriced! Five dollars for a bushel of bananas is insane and I'd rather drive to pinconning and go to valley's meat market where they have way better prices or even better off going to Walmart

We picked up a variety of meat products on 5/12/2023. Upon arriving home, about an hour away, noted that the prepackaged sausage, they had handed across the meat counter had a 'packed on' date of 5/4/2023 and 'sell by' 5/11/2023!Keeping the receipt and meat label, we stopped by to express dissatisfaction on a later date. Their clerk refused to offer any option, which he stated could only be made by management. We left our phone number(s) and are still waiting to hear. We would prefer to buy from family establishments and had purchased many meals from Rickers, but will now be shopping elsewhere.

Rickers Market has some great specialty items meat wise. Their Hillbilly Cowboy Jerky is to die for! Prime Rib jerky is pretty darn good as well. Their morning after brats are delicious and so are their fully loaded meat sticks. I drive from Bay City just to go here every now and again. Delicious stuff.

Great place to stop, always grabbing fresh meat and deli on the way north for camping. Sorry we have to park in front of car wash to shop but try to make it quick in and out. Wife hits the meat counter I grab deli, buns and Cajun peanuts and we're out.

My wife and I would get all of our meat at rickers until the new owner decided to change the quality of the meat. It's not even close to being as good of quality as it used to be. The meat is disgusting now. Freezer burnt, old, and even the cheese is moldy. I wouldn't feed it to my worst enemy.

2023 update - Previously rated 5 stars as a meat market but the quality has fallen off a cliff. After several bad experiences over the past 6 months I consider Rickers primarily a liquor store now with average quality meat selection. Many of their deli items(brats for example) are freezer burned, found some jerky to have mold on it, and I’ve seen expired items still out on the shelf. Super sad to see how far this place has fallen from its prime.

05/18/2023: Stopped to use the car wash. The north bay was open, the south bay was closed. Still an ideal place to keep your vehicle clean.

I called before I went there to see if they had smoked wings that day and was told they did. When I got there I found out, they didn't. They felt so bad they gave me at least a pound of the brisket at no charge! They certainly didn't have to do that, mistakes happen. These are decent, hard working people who go out of their way to take care of their customers. You can be sure I will continue to frequent this establishment often! By the way, the brisket was sensational! Kudos to you all!

The best ribs I bought. So tasty. The meat is some of the best I have ever had. Their pinapple,barbecue salami is awesome. The clerks are always so friendly.

If you live on a budget like I do than this should be the first place your looking for a meat bundle and the last.best quality meat bundle I've ever gotten.the staff are friendly and helpful.
