Amazing doctors and staff. Took our dog here after he had some rough play with another pup and developed some hot spots on his cheeks. Companion was quick to get us in and take care of our baby. They got him treated and feeling better at a great price and took VERY good care of our dog while being treated. My dog can be aggressive and very protective of myself and they made sure he had all proper procedures to handle that situation. I can’t thank Companion enough for helping to get our baby feeling better so he can get all his cheek kisses from his mom again!

Dr. Briggs and the staff here are absolutely wonderful. She found something that VCA didnt see in one of my cats. Unfortunately it was to late but we were able to keep her as comfortable as possible. She is amazing with my other kitty. Its SO hard to find someone you trust, I found our new vet ☺️

Companion Animal Hospital is one of the best vet practices around! They always took such good care of my two cats, especially the one who has a chronic illness. I never had an issue with scheduling appointments or bringing my cat in urgently. I have met each of the doctors there and they are all so kind, but Dr Walton and Dr Briggs saw my cat the most; they always provided excellent advice and care plans, discussed sensitive topics with care and sympathy, and genuinely enjoyed seeing my cat. They were also very responsive to any voicemails I left with a ton of questions, and never seemed impatient with me. Also shout out to all the vet techs that I met and gave great care to my cats! Cost wise: I felt everything was reasonably priced for the care we received; I have been to more expensive places in the past. I have now moved away from the area and it is too far for my cats to go to, but I will always appreciate everything they did for my cats, Chase and Mikho!

If I could leave 10 stars for this place, I would! Yesterday we had to put our 16 YO boy king to sleep, and the compassion the Drs and staff gave us was very, very comforting, King loved these ladies and when asked if he wanted to go see his favorite vet he was always on it ready to go, A special Thank you to Dr. Garner for her empathy for our family, and Dr. Caroline for all she has done for us as his journey with cancer started. I can’t say Thank you enough!!! Love all of us at the Seier-Morris home <3

I recently went to Companion Animal Hospital for the first time. I was truly amazed at the efficiency, teamwork and caring from everyone there. I had to leave there without my beloved German Shepherd, as I had to put him down. I did not go there that day expecting that to happen, and Dr. Jessica Gardner and staff made it more bearable with their compassion and how they handled everything.

My family and I are so very thankful Companion Animal Hospital! For being new to the office and wanting to get in asap. They did what they had to, to accommodate us on the same day. It was time for our 18 yr old Japanese Chin to cross over the rainbow bridge, he fell very ill. And Companion Animal Hospital was there when we needed it. The office was compassionate for our needs, we were very pleased with the office and stuff. Thank you!!!!!! ❤️

I can’t Thank the Staff Dr Shevock, Dr Gardner, Dr Briggs, Amanda, and Emma enough for being there for Remi and I through the toughest time in our life…..Remi (English Bulldog)has been going to Companion for over 12 years. Dr Shevock and Dr Gardner have helped us through the years through ALOT ongoing bladder stone issues, Broken tooth, pallet, nars and much more…I had to say Good Bye(not expected) the other day to my Best Friend, my heart and Soul and these ladies were there for us… I always told my baby girl I wouldn’t let her go at the Vet but this was unexpected and I had no choice I asked if we could let her cross the Rainbow Bride 🌈outside and with no hesitation they agreed. These ladies are compassionate, helpful and caring. I would recommend Companion Animal Hospital 💯…When they say….Where Pets are family they mean it.

I am usually happy with Companion. I started going there in 2016 when I got my first sphynx. The staff and vets are usually friendly and love seeing my cats since they’re not very common. Last week I took my 2 year old sphynx in for his yearly checkup with Dr Shevock (I was in the previous week with one of my other sphynx and had Dr Briggs.. she was great). I noticed right away that she was not super friendly when she first came in. Once I said I raw feed my cats, the appointment went downhill from there. I understand it’s not a veterinarian favorite diet. I always get slack about it, even though it’s the best diet for cats, so nothing new there. She then went on about how my cats and I are running extra risks of worms and parasites if the food is handled improperly.. I told her I get it from a reputable company. Her response was “So you don’t just go to a store and get raw chicken and feed that to your cats?” Ummm.. no. I’m pretty knowledgeable about raw diets and have done my research, so I know the benefits of it, and I have common sense on how to handle raw food. She then asked me how often I bathed him. I told her that I don’t. He gets spot cleaned when needed, which is rare. I then told her that the more you bathe sphynx, the more oils they’ll produce (just like human hair). She then told me that another vet there has a sphynx and bathes him every week. I told her again how over time if you stop bathing them, the oils will reduce significantly requiring less and less baths. Her response was, “Well, I don’t know.”, UMMM… I do!! I’ve had sphynx for 6 years now!! Then she weighed him. He weighs just over 9lbs. She commented on how he has gained weight since his last visit… which was a year ago and he was ONE! She said that he shouldn’t gain anymore weight since he has a small pouch and anymore weight will classify him as overweight. I let her know that having a pouch is a breed standard and doesn’t signify him being overweight. She disagreed. I then told her that it is his primordial pouch and that all sphynx should have it. Otherwise, he is a long and lean cat and clearly not overweight. I feel like her opinions on my cats diet effected how she treated and spoke to me during the visit. She was making me feel like I was a neglectful pet owner, even though my cats are extremely well cared for and loved.. they have the best of everything. When I made the appointment I was asked if I had a vet preference. At the time I didn’t, but now, I definitely do. I would never ever go to her again and would never recommend her to anyone. Her bedside manner is horrible and she couldn’t hide her disapproval from the beginning of the appointment of me feeding raw. Companion needs to schedule patients with doctors that know about the breed they are treating… and she clearly doesn’t know anything about sphynx.

Great care all around. My older cat hasn't been himself lately they were completely understanding and compassionate. They worked out a plan to see what's going on.

The Team at Companion was incredibly professional, sympathetic and compassionate when we recently had to put our beloved dog down. They aren’t even our normal veterinary clinic and handled our needs as if we were life long customers. They made what was otherwise a horrible morning the best it possibly could’ve been under the circumstances.

They have super high prices, try to sell you everything under the rainbow at every appointment driving your bill higher. They do have semi-decent puppy/kitten packages, but when you try to cancel the "UNUSED" package to afford care for an injured animal instead, they outright refuse, and insist that you somehow come up with money to help the injured animal or make you out to be a horrible person. Act like they care, but really just want to squeeze the coin. Go to a real vet that is in business to help animals and willing to work with their owners on whats needed, stay away from these clowns. I went here for years, just went to Towne and Country Animal Hospital and they were great! Completely black and white in comparison!!! Kudos to BOTH Frontier veterinary in swartz creek and fenton veterinary clinic for referring them due to them being so overbooked. Never seen companion overbooked, although they are right in the same area. There's your red flag.

Unfortunately, since July, I have had to put two of my dogs down. One eighteen and one fifteen. Dr Walton and Julie, along with the rest of their staff, treated us with such compassion and understanding at such a difficult time and handled our beloved fur babies with love. I am grateful for the care my babies received their entire lives at Companion Animal Hospital.

The only reason I’m giving 2 stars over 1 is because of Dr.Carol. Aside from her the front desk receptionists are incredibly rude. And they are WAY over priced!! They’ve tried to over charge me for EVERY time I come in. Every single time I’ve come in they ask for my license which they have on file…. After my last visit of telling her once again when she asked that they have it, the same girl I believe who’s name is Kim gets incredibly snotty telling me rude af “it’s not and I’m trying to do my job” after a rude comment like that I absolutely was irritated and when I snatched my license back after going through this EVERY SINGLE TIME because they can’t get there paper work right she has the audacity to out loud go “woooow”. I absolutely don’t suggest them.. there are way friendlier vets in the area. They also want to charge $600+ for a neutering!! They have multiple odd charges that make no sense. A single neutering at all the other vets offices near me are $300… we absolutely took our boy somewhere else!

Yikes. My whole family has been bringing their animals here since I can remember, and I've done the same with my dog since we got him. However last time he needed updated shots and exam, the price they told me it would be seem like a LOT so I checked with another local vet and it was over $200 less, so I took my dog there instead. Today I submitted a prescription refill for my dog and it got denied because I didn't get his last exam at Companion Animal Hospital. I understand to an extent, but I didn't know all this would happen. I called them about it today and while the lady on the phone was nice, she told me I could no longer get prescriptions for my dog filled there because I went somewhere else. She even told me that they won't accept vet records from another place to prove he got the exam tests and shots ??? That's what really got me and proves to me that it's all just a money thing, not actually checking to see if my dog needs care. Also just to note, they've seen him within the last 6 months for a neuter surgery and teeth cleaning, so it's not like we haven't been there in years or something. Very disappointed by this! My dog has had this medication for 2.5 years now, I don't see why they can't work with me and that vet records from another place isn't sufficient enough. I've always liked this place but sadly I guess I'll stick to the new place with better care and less expensive.

They are absolutely amazing we had to put down one of our kittens and they were so compassionate and asked if we needed anything. The vet seemed just as sad when she delivered the news she almost cried which actually means a lot to me. I can't recommend them enough they are absolutely amazing and they love our animals just as much as we do ❤️❤️

The staff at Companion are so wonderful. We've had a multitude of different experiences with the Companion team, from annual checkups, to surgical procedures, to unfortunately putting one of our pets down. Throughout each visit, the staff treat both us and our pets with the utmost respect and kindness. I've had bad experiences with other vets diagnosing procedures or meds just to make more money, and have never had to worry about that here. I can't recommend them enough!! Your pets are safe with Companion!!

Staff was super nice and very willing to take their time and let my very scared puppy get used to them and his surroundings. By the end of the checkup, he was happier and more confident than I've seen him in any strange place.

The best office around. We take my dog here and when we needed to get in urgently they had us in that day and got us the answers we needed to get my buddy back to his old self. He was having some kind of infection in his prostate that was effecting his white blood cells. So so grateful for doctor Gardner and her team!! Truly so kind and empathetic.

Love, love, love this Vet. They have helped us through a lot of ups and downs with our cats. They were super supportive when we had to put our sweet baby Kya to sleep. Then her sister got sick and Dr. Briggs has done everything to make sure she got better and she has gotten better! Thank you to all the staff for being amazing and caring 💜

Rydell, a 6 year old, 15# cavapoochon, has had bad breath for a couple years. He was at Companion to get his teeth cleaned. He also had his upper incisors pulled - a problem he's had for a long while. Good recovery with lots of vet follow up. We couldn't be happier...and Rydell is happier and more lively than he's been in awhile. No more pain from those bad incisors and gums! Thank you, Companion.

I appreciate they got my sick senior cat in the same day and treated her (and us) with such care and kindness. They explained everything about her treatment and even called me to check on her. We have taken our dog there before too. I definitely recommend them!

We have been taking our dogs to Dr. Shevock for years now. We trust Dr. Shevock and her team with our family companions as well as our breeding females for our business, Home Base Shepherd. Dr. Shevock takes her time at each appointment getting to know our dogs and our family. We have never felt like a number due to the quality time and care at each appointment. Thank you for your years of care!

When I first called to make my appointment the front desk was so kind and helpful and just as wonderful upon checking in and out, 10000% great service and wonderful to interact with! Dr. Walton, Jessica and Julie were so great with my boys I couldn’t be more pleased. They all took the time to listen to me and didn’t do the quintessential “over suggest/over treat” that I find more often than not with my cats. Honestly wonderful clinic, wonderful service, thank you soooo much for caring for my boys the way I do. I’ll definitely be back!

Great group of animal lovers!! We were new to the area and found out our Mastiff had cancer. We were not patients there, but they brought us right in to make sure everything was being done to help him. He ended up leaving this world. They made all of us comfortable and gave him a hershey kiss saying no do ahold go to heaven without tasting chocolate! It touched us so much, and he LOVED it!! We had them cremate him, and he was back the next morning for us to pick up. LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!! Highly recommend!

Dr. Carolyn is a wonderful, compassionate person. She understands the needs of an elderly pet without racking up thousands of dollars in medical tests that won’t change her treatment. She is very wise and we are very grateful for her.

This place is amazing. They were able to get us in right away. Our dog was very old and was battling life. They were very sincere and compassionate with helping us through this difficult transition. They were warm friendly and knew how to comfort us in our time of grief. I highly recommend this place.

I can not express enough the gratitude I have to the staff. We live in Warren and could not get a doctor down here to see our dog who was in obvious pain. The staff at Companion could tell we were desperate and agreed to double book and get us in as soon as we could make the drive there.Inside the reception space is welcoming and the staff is warm. They noticed our dog was in distress and allowed me to sit back away from others and come to me concerning check-in paperwork. We got into a room quickly. The tech was kind and thorough in her exam and listening to me deliver the history of his injury. She got down on the floor to take his temperature to put him at ease.Dr Walton came in quickly and started her exam. She determined that the diagnosis we had received a week ago from another vet was quite wrong and he needed an x-ray. Getting on the floor with him to check him all over.2 new techs came in and once again they got on the floor to administer an injection. They took him away for the x-ray and came back quickly. Dr Walton was able to pull up the images on the computer in the exam room and walk me through the injury, treatment, alternative options, medication, and care. The tech came back with some literature on the injury and walked me to checkout. She was a small woman but offered to help me get my large dog into my truck so he wouldn't have to jump and exacerbate his injury. It was not needed but a kind offer.Payment was easy and clear.I cannot say enough about the incredibly kind and knowledge staff. I have no hesitation in them being out regular vet even if they are an hour away and I will drive past dozens on the way to them.
