We found our new best friend here. Nova Marshmallow Snowflake (was Jewel), was well loved and taken care of at the humane society. The staff was kind and informative when I explained what type of kitty we were looking for, and found us the perfect match!

Stopped at a garage sale they were having. They have quite a few dogs in there really needing a home. A beautiful St. Bernard that needs to get adopted and be able to have some room.

Went to get a nail trim for Gizmo & LulaBelle. They were polite, friendly, caring n gentle to our cats just like every other time we've been there. Would highly recommend 😁.

Nice lady on duty, showed us a really nice 2yr old golden retriever. Too bad were not looking for another baby.Just dropped off a auction gift.All the animals were nice and happy to see us, all smiles

The people at the Alcona Humane Society truly care about our homeless animals. They are always ready to help with h advice and whatever may be needed. Alcona County is fortunate to have such a special facility.

Great furry friends! Husband and I took kids to see the cats & dogs,the Humane Society has always been so generous with sharing their donations for families and their own new rescues and they take great care of the furbabies! Every cat had their own litter boxes,food and space providing there wasnt a kitty cat duo that stuck together lol and they even alternate a felines turn out & about to give them that freedom they so need. The dogs,they too are taken care of but I do however wish to see them get more space to house more furbabies! I know it often depends on funding with such renos and expansions,but they TRULY need and deserve more space! I seen 5 or 6 dogs that occupied all the kennels and 1 was outdoors,so with concern i wonder where the next that got brought in can go but hey,im not 1 to judge and as long as they arent turned away,idc what they do on space. Its always my biggest concern if one is turned away. Theres alot of cats there in dire need of a home,and i can honestly say they ALL were so precious,beautiful and if only i had the means to do it,id take them all! Not many dogs,a couple pits and a sweet young newcomer i hope gets claimed by its owners but please lets try to help these furbabies in any ways we can. Some have been there since Oct. and Nov.Day & Night,thats too long being similar to jail for them,they need their new families/companions and forever homes!
