I love Dollar General but this location is junky. ALL of the staff is super friendly but they need more help. With the apartment building next door, this is very convenient place for people with no transportation to shop. For the most part there prices are good and they have a good digital coupon system if u take advantage of it! Parking lot is dirty and full of pot holes but that is the responsibility on the leasing company. If this location was not so close to the Detroit boarder, it would be a lot cleaner and well kept.The owner/leasing company needs to do better maintaining the property.

Very nice staff, friendly and always smiling. They are always helpful and you don't have to be scared to ask them a question or two. Their signage is usually up to date with the discounts and sales. The parking lot is a bit dodgy but not too bad during the day. The store seems a little disorganized, lots of boxes everywhere and the clothing in the front is like a jungle. With a little bit of organization this place would be perfect.

I gave this visit a one because the manager ken was walking around the store with no mask. I as a customer have to wear one because of the sign on the door and its the governors order says to. But he's doesn't. Not very safe. Other than that the cashier was very pleasant

I have given this dollar general SO many chances. For YEARS I come every couple months thinking maybe they got better, but they never do. The shelves are always very empty, especially the laundry aisle. Which is kind of funny, since the old dude with white hair will throw a fit of you use any digital coupons. They purposely will not stock those shelves so you can't use the 5/25 coupon on it on Saturdays. Not to mention he never greets anyone and I always feel like every time I shop there, he gives me dirty looks and watches me as if I'm a thief?! A customer even noticed this and mentioned to me how empty the shelves always are. The store continues to be trash. Sad.

(7/21/20)Update- I tried to give this store another chance, but they have failed me once again.This store doesn't even check their inventory to see if some products are expired. Today I bought three 2 liter sodas and all three were rancid.They all had an rancid smell and taste. Two of them had later expiration dates and one had a very old date (June).I called the store and told them about this and they said they couldn't do anything. I'm so disappointed because I used to be a regular customer there.Like I said in my last post 11 months ago you'll be better going somewhere else.And I will no longer be returning and I'm gonna make sure to tell all my family and friends and their friends not to come here as well.(11 months ago)The place is very dirty and unorganized, shelves be empty, aisles be filled with carts. There is barely a cashier available because the workers are always outside smoking and chitchatting. They'll rather have one cashier handle a huge line of people instead of having another cashier come and help.You'll be better off going somewhere else.

Just went to the “remodeled “ version of this store and I must say the new baskets are clean. Other than that it’s the same store with taller shelves and some paint. There is always a line and most of soda pop they sell is flat. Happy shopping.

The Manager Ken is The Man!! Best $ General $ in the downriver area. Very professional polite and patient customer service. Dealing with these cyber coupons is not an easy task.

The store manager Ken is one of the worst I've seen! A lady was asking about a digital coupon and it about killed him to walk over towards the register where the cashier was, he acted like she was wasting his time...I know he was so busy leaning on boxes and all.

The place is going through a remodel. The store has great bargains. I enjoyed going but on the other side of it. The store felt messy and unkept. Customers get used to it and may not like seeing everything new.

I like the variety but hate the mess in the store and lack of buggies and the trash outside around the store and the beggers that try to hit you up! Cigarette butt's and paper plus needles and pop sitting on the edge of window sills plus lack of workers and ailses are not wide enough for handicap ppl plus they are junked up with stock, empty boxes and carts. This guy in a wheelchair could not get through it! Sad a store with potential is losing business because they don't have enough staff and monitor the lot and theft that they don't see.

Cory, at my store location.That guy is the BEST!i always have an enjoyable experience, ALWAYS!Everytime I go to my store location, I call on him (Cory), he's right there!Once I didn't call, I turn around to put an item in my basket, (guess who was standing there).I am surrounded by majors stores in my area, but NO!I perfer store #9, my store, Cory's store.They'll get all my business!Matter of fact, I'm going up there shortly.Cory needs to be rewarded, with a beyond raise!He is fantastic!He's a wonderful person,He's a good hard worker.I could go on all day, but I'll stop here.GOOD DAY ALL.

I like the fact it’s up the street from my house. I go here sometimes. I do hate when they run out of paper towel/toilet paper. But it’s gotten a little better since now they are limiting it to 2 per person. So it’s some left for others to get.

I like dollar General they have the things u need n dont charge u n arm n a leg to get them the owner ia a friendly person. U find some cute items u can get for a buck n if u got kids who wanna decorate their personalized room this is a great place to take them

The store in Lincoln park needs help BAD. Producuts are all over the floor. Stock needs to be put up. It's as if no one is available to put things in place.
