Fun shopping here!! The girls are super nice. Once a year I get here for the Bourbon Glaze, it's amazing. Trying something new with the praline mustard. Of course there's always tons of candy. This is a must place to shop if you're in Lexington.

Such a cute place to put stop in Lexington, MI. We bought candy, kitchen towels, blueberry jelly, and more. They have cute signs, cards, toys, and all kinds of curio type items. The owners daughter is sooo nice!

Very cool gift shop with an old-timey general store ambiance. They have a very well-stocked candy counter, a wide selection of locally branded food products (though it's not clear whether or not they're actually produced locally), some nice Michigan-themed gifts, and an upstairs full of seasonal home decor. A must-stop for anyone visiting Lexington.

Used to absolutely adore this place!!! I started visiting when I was a kid, about 20 years ago already!! Lol. But lately, I can't seem to get there when they're open!! Hours are wrong everywhere they are posted! The last dozen times I've tried stopping in, my kids have been devastated because they've been randomly closed!! And to top it off, there is now a sign stating that they have gotten rid of the penny candy counter!!! That's the staple of the whole darn store!!!! Having the kids stand on the old wooden stool looking through the glass counter, excited as ever, picking out their candy is the point of the store period. I don't think it'll ever have the same nostalgic feeling. One year ago, I would've given it as many stars as possible, now..... I don't know if it would even be one. 😢😢😢😢😢

Must stop here whenever am in area. Lots of interesting items for gifts or to treat self. For example, purchased a wide variety of cherry items (candy, tea, jam, bbq sauce, etc) for a Very Cherry Christmas gift basket we were putting together. Also items for two gift exchanges where you didn't know who would end up with what you brought. We got an awesome wooden advent calendar that will be a family heirloom.

My go to stop for candy whenever I visit Lexington! They also have a huge selection of other items, so you're almost sure to find something you like! I also love the historic feel to the building.

Seriously my favorite store we visited while in Lexington! Could've shopped in there all day! They have everything from hand made boots from Poland to less expensive jewelry, clothing, shoes, decor - great place for tourists to shop!

Very nice staff.We needed cortisone cream for a swelling.My debit was not working but cashier went out of her way to help me.She just keyed in my numbers.Sometimes debit cards do not work in port huron.Good experience.I bought a great dream catcher at this location.Beautiful walk at stores.Beautiful beach right there and the windjammer restaurant was great.We loved our stay in lexington.

A fantastic little shop in Lexington. Tons of candy, toys and novelties, the kids love coming in and looking around. Always a great place to go to when we are at the cottage. The staff is very friendly.

First of all, the picture shown is NOT the Lexington General Store, it's Wimpy's which is next door. This is an old timey General Store. Creaky wood floors. It's really neat. Has a bunch of stuff to keep kids busy plus a lot of candies. There are cookie cutters, candles and other stuff. Prices are reasonable and the staff helpful and polite.

I've been visiting the general store for 45 years, still the same charm, squeaky hardwood floors and great candy selection. If you loved this shop as a kid you'll still love it today.

The kids love the candy but everytime we go it's about $15 a person on candy (you don't get a bunch) Overall great store with other items!

Tons of candy, sweets, tea, sauces, and souvenirs I went here when I was a kid and went back today and had so much fun going here and to the stores around it. Would recommend!!!

If you go to the thumb area of Michigan you must go to the Lexington General Store. Service is excellent the people are very friendly and boy do they have tons of cool things! Lots and lots of clothing
