I was impressed by the size of the room and its cleanliness. The Lodge staff worked with my group of crafters to make our first retreat there a total success. From fresh coffee to increasing the lighting, every request was met with efficiency and a smile. You can’t beat the Leland location. Several of us took a very short drive to the Lake Michigan shoreline in search of rocks and beach glass. It was a magical afternoon on the beach.I highly recommend Leland Lodge for your next visit to northern Michigan.

We stayed for two nights in April and everything about our visit was 5 stars. Even during the off season they pay attention to the little details. We were left with chocolates and cookies in our room when we arrived. There were a variety of non-alcohol beverages available to us. Everything in the room was comfortable and clean. We will definitely be back!

Our stay for a quiet getaway weekend in January was better than we could’ve asked for! The lodge is so homey and clean!! All the staff was so friendly and accommodating. We spent the day skiing at Homestead and spent the evening enjoying great drinks and food at Bogeys right inside the lodge! Our bed was super comfortable and the sheets were amazing. To top it all off, the room had a heated bathroom fan and cozy robes! Can’t wait to stay again!

We stayed at the Leland Lodge as part of a giveaway through Great Lakes Travel. Our group of 5 friends connecting five decades of life's journeys gathered for a weekend and the Leland Lodge was perfect. Staff accommodated us throughout our stay and we enjoyed the quietness of the area and even ventured out for a Midnight walk in the fresh snow. We appreciated the historic integrity of the Lodge, yet felt it had the amenities we needed. Highly recommend.Nearby activities: Wineries, quaint shops and excellent restaurants are in close proximity to the Leland Lodge.Safety: We ventured out at Midnight for a stroll through town and the neighborhood without any worry.Food & drinks: Bogey's has a hometown feel. Food was fresh and good and the service was excellent.

My wife Susan & I stayed 2 nights, eating dinner at Bogey’s both nights after days spent hiking. This is a place that genuinely conveys concern for their guests. House-keeping on demand, else total privacy. Rooms were comfortable, sufficient, & had a microwave as well as fridge, we used for leftovers from dinner. Thoughtful though minimal breakfast bar, Bogeys dinners had really nice wine. Deeply enjoyed our stay, want to stay again sometime.

Absolutely lovely. Cozy and historic yet up to date! The bed was wonderfully comfy. The bathroom was as clean as could be with all the amenities including a fabulous magnifying mirror! The view was wonderful overlooking the golf course and lake. The location was super convenient for town and beach. A restaurant is located in the lodge and open every day so there’s always somewhere to eat even when everything in town is closed. And the price…very reasonable! Will definitely be back hopefully soon!

We had a lovely getaway at Leland Lodge. Since it was March-the town was quiet, but we walked down to Fishtown twice to take pictures. We drove into Traverse City every day for wine tasting and some great restaurants. The room was very comfortable-especially the king sized bed. We’ll be back!Walkability: It was only four blocks to walk to Fishtown, so we got pictures at sunset and sunrise.

Booked a one night stay for a little winter getaway in Feb. 2024 at the Leland Lodge, which is tucked away off the main strip, but still close enough to walk to all the main areas. Our room was perfect - clean, spacious and had all the needed amenities. I also appreciated the special touches including the cookies and chocolates (and boot tray for snowy shoes)! The originality of the lodge is also an attribute and is well maintained. We had the whole downtown area to ourselves and even though all the shops are closed for the season, we still had a nice time wandering around. Even caught a gorgeous sunset and saw an otter running around by the dam!

I had a wonderful stay at the lodge while attending a winter wedding weekend. The room was cozy and comfortable with lots of extra treats and personal touches. The staff were friendly and helpful, and I loved that everything I needed was right there at the lodge, and picturesque downtown Leland was just a quick walk away. I enjoyed some sledding and cross country skiing right outside the doors of the lodge. I would definitely come back to enjoy another winter getaway or to check it out during other seasons.

I was so impressed with the staff and accommodations at Leland Lodge during my recent stay. The surroundings were clean, very well maintained, the staff incredibly attentive, and lodge itself just beautiful. It is uniquely decorated with hand crafted furniture and accent pieces, complimented with books about Leland’s history.Safety: All exits and entrances are well marked, easy to find, and unencumbered. Walkways are lit, camera surveillance is everywhere, and there are enough exit/ entry points that they are easily accessible in case of an emergency.Walkability: Leland Lodge is situated just a few short blocks from Main Street and is the perfect walk or bike ride.

Spent one-night at the Leland Lodge with my daughter, granddaughter and my son and his wife who are home for the holidays from Florida. I wanted to give all of us a bit of peace and relaxation away from the busyness of the holidays. It was worth it to book our short time at Leland Lodge. The atmosphere speaks comfort with the beautiful fireplace and inviting furniture groupings making it easy to relax and enjoy family and friends. I loved the attention to details they give each room. So clean and spacious.

The Leland a lodge is charming. It looks and feels rustic but with all of the modern amenities and perks. The location is ideal - you can walk to Leland and the beaches, and it’s only a short drive to other quaint towns on the peninsula. If you’re wondering if you should stay here, my answer is a resounding Yes!Rooms: The rooms were very comfortable and the bedding was top notch.Walkability: The Lodge is very close to the town of Leland and walkable to shops, eateries and the beach.

It was so cozy and felt like home at The Leland Lodge! The room was large, clean, and extremely comfortable. The on-site restaurant was delicious and so convenient to enjoy dinner and drinks then just walk upstairs to our room. Loved the peaceful ambiance while sitting by the fireplace and reading my book in the morning. Thanks for being a wonderful 3-day getaway!

Soooo very happy with our stay at The Leland Lodge! Our room was spacious, impeccably clean and comfortable ( nice quality robes in the closet- too!) All the staff were courteous and very accommodating! Upon arrival we were given homemade, freshly baked chocolate chip cookies! The food in the restaurant was delicious and all the extras we received for being Lodge guests made it so nice! Muffins, yogurt, coffee, Coke products, and water bottles were available daily at no charge.Bicycles to rent at no charge- another fun “extra “! The town of Leland and all the beautiful hikes in the area made our stay so nice!We will definitely be back and will bring more people to The Leland Lodge!!
