I'm happy to have somewhat of a grocery store here....But youd think that dollar generals nation wide would clean up their property on a regular basis.As much as we all spend at these stores, they should at least present themselves well.

when the place opened up it was really excellent over time different employees that cared less about their regulars and thats normal a few cashers were better and more friendly then others and suggested great products and made bigger sales because they knew the store well and cared. others acted like they didn't want to see your face. and their job sucked i was a fan of crystal for that reason she sold more product because she was friendly, knowledgeable and knew the products anther thing no cell reception in the store, country music being played made me want to go to sleep head manager was kinda rude lines were backed up and she was chatty with friends..could be at the cash register instead... moving people quicker. no wifi ether.

Good selection of items, staff mostly friendlyto date with exception to this morning. Waited three full minutes at registrar to check out before having to go find an employee to check me out. Upon request to check me out, said employee appeared annoyed. Customer service has room for improvement.

As the only general store in Lawrence, you can expect that this Dollar General can get immensely busy. And that it does. One of the bigger DG's that I've been to, it has the same products you would expect at your normal Dollar General, with a few more added so the locals won't have to travel to Hartford or Paw Paw very often. The workers here are very knowledgeable about the Lawrence area and were happy to answer our questions. However, if you are not a local as I am not, then this is the perfect stop to refresh on snacks, drinks, and essentials so you can get back on the road all the more quickly.

Didn't visit the store. Instead had to pull off i94 because of the snow and pulled into the parking lot. Thanks to the person who opened the store for not calling the cops for seeing our cars while we were sleeping in the parking lot. Much appreciated

Compared to the dollar general in Hartford this place rules! Shelves are always stocked (unlike Hartford) and the people are very nice, the Hartford people are also very nice but man... What do you guys do up there all day? Every time I go in there they got sombody "stocking the shelves" with a cart full of boxes... But then you go to the coolers and its two of these, none of these, empty shelf, some of those... Get it together. Doing their job scale =Lawrence: 9, hartford: 4 lol

This DG has most items you might need in a pinch without having to drive 9-10 miles to the nearest grocery store or pay the high mark-up at a gas station convenience store. It is fairly new (2017) and usually clean, tidy, and well stocked. As with all DGs, brands offered are limited.
