Really disappointed! I rented a floor sander today. I have never rented anything from Home Depot and I’ve never sanded floors before. The young man who helped me was very knowledgeable and helped me figure it all out. When I used it I was surprised at the amount of dust it produced. I knew there would be dust but the air was so thick it was hard to see. I eventually realized the dust bag zipper was broken and tried tape as a temporary fix which didn’t hold up. The sandpaper sheets kept falling off the buffer pad because of the amount of dust too. I didn’t even get to use one of them more than a couple minutes before it was useless and wouldn’t stick. Then I realized there was also a hole in the top of the machine that was also spitting dust. I finally gave up and took the machine back. The man who checked it back in apologized for the issues and gave me a 10% discount on my rental which amounted to only $5.30. With the expense of the sandpaper, the buffer pad and the rental I spent around $100 today just to fill my air with dust…. my floors aren’t even finished. What a waste of time and money.

Gift cards given for refunds - make sure not to scratch too hard. Store managers could see the amount on the card and refused to load the funds onto a new card. Our names were tied to the purchase so that wasn’t the issue either.Made us wonder how many others were just not used and the company ended up with the money!So now I do not buy anything from here that I might have to return.Other employees were very helpful - the low rating is from the interaction with management

This is my favorite place to Halloween shop. They have the best selection of decorations! I also love the outdoor Christmas decor available. It's better than all of their competitors.Another way they beat their competitors is appliance availability and delivery. I have been very impressed with the delivery people, they quickly and safely installed my last 2 appliances (washer first & dryer about 1 year later). Delivery is free, unless you want it setup and installed (I did). Even then, it was about $85 for a hose kit with a new plug. I thought it was well worth it, and everything was installed, done, and over with.This store has truly become my first choice to buy any home improvement materials, appliances, and fun unique holiday decorations!

Found what I needed (storage bins) without any help from employees. However, a very sweet employee saw me pulling some bins out and offered to help. As I am independent, I said no thank you. I made my way to the front and had no problem on the self checkout. Lots of smiling faces.

I use this location at least once a week. The people are friendly and helpful, and the store has enough to accommodate your standard requests. Most specialty items will need to be ordered.The return policy is great, and you won't have a problem if you have a receipt or pro-extra membership. Even if I lose my receipt, they'll still give me store credit, which gets used same day most of the time. In 100+ visits, I've never had a problem with a return.While in the store, I recommend using the Home Depot app to help you find what you are looking. You can search a product and it will tell you what aisle and bay to look in. I'll get my phone out if I can't find something right away. It's really easy.

Old guy working in the plumbing section would rather talk politics with customers than help, told me when I asked if he could get an item down from a top shelf that it'd be faster if I found someone else. I rarely go to this HD and I won't be back.

I’m very frustrated with my delivery of my 2 in 1 GE washer dryer combo…I was told in the store the door could be switched to the other side at installation. Because of my space the door needs to open to opposite way as the manufacturer makes it. The door is fully capable of this switch but the delivery people said they don’t do it. Even tho I asked no less than 10 times at the store to make sure this would not be an issue. So I decided to call the customer service number I was informed if I switch the door myself it will void the extended warranty I purchased. So now I get to wait until Monday for someone to come and do it. Home Depot is sending a GE tech to come switch it on Monday. I’m hoping I don’t have to pay for this call. I will update this review after Mondays tech visit.

Asked for assistance. No joke, 5 different employees told me to ask someone else for help. Even customer service told us to walk across the store again to ask the same people for help who've told me to go to customer service. Ridiculous & disrespectful. I just wanted to order bathroom cabinet doors. No one wanted to help or listen. So after a few minutes of listening to the employees argue with each other about who was going to help me, I told them to forget it, I'll just order them myself. Don't work in customer service if you don't want to help customers. Don't work a job you're not willing to learn how to do.

This is the worst store I've ever been to. You are entirely on your own when you are shopping at home Depot. You can't get any help, It is extraordinarily difficult to get anybody to even answer your questions. I will be a loyal lows customer from here on out

People hardly review with good experience. So I wish I would have gotten her name! I went early morning around 8am to the rental department to drop off what I rented. The equipment slid to the middle and it was so heavy for just myself to pick up. She came out to my truck, got in and helped me get it out! She was so nice, and went above and beyond! She deserves to be to appreciated by Home Depot! These are the kind of employees that give your company a good name! She deserves a raise! I would hire her in a heartbeat if she ever came to my job !

I used to be pretty loyal, and as a veteran, I liked home depots commitment to us. The problem raised when my vet bud ordered cabinets, and the first set was busted, and the second set were never delivered, his signature forged, and now they won't refund his money. I won't go back. Lowe's is a better choice

Rented a piece of equipment from them. It didn’t work properly and I wasn’t able to complete the job I was attempting to do. Wasted about 3 hours of my day. They said that the equipment didn’t work because of the cold weather, but they still billed me for a 2 hour rental. They wouldn’t even let me use my tool rental gift card on the balance that they charged me for. Terrible customer service.

Very disappointed regarding my visit to Home Depot. I stopped there to pick up incandescent light bulbs. I was walking around the store and asked an employee where the light bulbs were located, he pointed and told me where they are located.I go to the section where the light bulbs are, however I wasn't sure if the bulbs I was looking at were incandescent or not. Worker's either not around or not offering to help. A worker was walking by and I asked him if he could have someone help me, he said, "sure I'll have someone help you." I waited 5 minutes no one showed up. Another employee walking by looks at me smiles gets on his cellphone and turns his back and walks away. What happened to SERVICE? There was a time every corner I turned someone at Home Depot would ask me if I needed assistance. If you're an employee and you are scheduled to work, do your job and assist the customer and stay off your cellphone.

I came in to HD to finish plumbing my 2nd story shower to reconnect to the main drain. Although I had a pretty decent idea of how to do the job the older gentleman in plumbing dept. helped me understand venting and correct a few issues with the drain I was building. Also he showed me an all-in-one Blue Monster PVC cement that made it easier and faster to solvent weld and saved me a few bucks. Although I used to shop exclusively at Menards beause it usually is cheaper, the employee at Home Depot was extremely helpful and the last few times at Menards they stalked me and my wife around the store like I was a theif, and the Menards employees don't seem to know anything or help at all. I will be giving much more of my business to Home Depot in the future!

Today my 6 year old stole for the first time. We returned to the store to admit it, apologize, and make it right. He chose to make it right by using money from his piggy bank to pay for it. The team and manager were wonderful; patient and kind. It may have only been an $0.18 washer and five minutes of your evening but I'm so grateful you took the time to help with a very important life lesson.

I was looking for a replacement hose for a hand-held shower head. Couldn't find it. It's often useless to ask for help since the employees often don't know where stuff is anyway....and they'll drag you to the other side of the earth trying to find it.

Can't modify Opps paint.... do you want people to buy it or not? Wanted the paint slightly darker, add just a touch more blue was even willing to pay a bit more just to use paint that would otherwise be thrown away. Guess they don't care too much about not wasting, not surprised.

Very easy to find the product that you are looking for because they don't switch things around like they do at other stores. Just when you get familiar with a store. They manage to move things around here at home depot. I can walk in and no right where I'm going and what I'm looking for.

If I could figure out how to file a formal complaint, I would.Service was absolutely terrible.Had an online order get messed up on Home Depots end. The 2 customer service calls I had to make to sort it out confirmed this.The first customer service rep even added a note to my account explaining this and how to proceed but the manager was "too busy" to actually look at it and help me. I could literally hear the manager saying "I don't got time for that" on the phone when the counter worker called them for assistance.Due to this, I had to call customer service back and explain the store refused to comply with the previous reps directions which sent us back through the same process I had to do the first time.Here was their final solution; send back the $25 item, so they could then send it right back to me along with the rest of my order THAT THE STORE HAD IN STOCK! So now I'm 2 weeks behind. All because some manager was TOO BUSY TO DO THEIR JOB! Only wasted 3-4 HOURS of my time dealing with this.Bottom line is I will be looking elsewhere both personally and with all the stuff I buy for the company I work for. I highly doubt Lowes and all the other hardware stores treat their customers this way.Feel free to reach out, I'd be happy to provide exact details of everything involved.

DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE! SERVICE IS AWFUL AND COMMUNICATION IS NON EXISTENT!I ordered a door on September 3rd. I received a notification that day telling me the estimated delivery date was October 6. I waited patiently checking the order online seeing it continue to confirm the delivery date as October 6th, until on October 6th I received another email that said it was delayed. No issue logistics happen but the email had no details on timeline or new estimated delivery date. So I waited patiently, until I called on October 12 it took me 5 different calls to get help, at which point they told me it was just delayed they would open a “case” and get me an answer in 48hrs. Then they told me if I wanted to know what was happening I would have to call the vendor myself to find out. My issue with this is I didn’t order from the vendor I ordered from Home Depot, why am I having to call another party. Anyways I waited the 48hrs to receive an answer on my case, surprise surprise I heard nothing. So I called back on the 16th at which point I was informed my case had just been created that day. So not only was nothing being done but I was blatantly lied to when I was told they were starting my case. I was again informed they would have to start a case and give me an answer in 48 hrs. The service I received was worse than the teenagers I deal with at McDonald’s. I do not recommend ordering anything from Home Depot the service is horrible and the communication is a joke! Take your business else where, to where someone will actually be willing to help you.

The store is overcrowded and under funded. Things are constantly out of stock and there is always a line at the customer service desk. Curbside pickup ends at 6:00 p.m so you have to wait in line to get your items.The employees do their best I honestly don't think its their fault. Whoever manages the store just doesnt have enough employees/funding for the amount of traffic the store gets.

We pretty much shop the Okemos store for most larger construction materials we can’t get at the local hardware. Had to build a platform for a garden shed. Met a veteran there who helped us a great deal. Got what we came for, cut to size, at the right price, basically with someone guiding us to each location. Got to thank him for his service as well. Great experience!

I enjoyed shopping at Home Depot, the service was great and the staff is very friendly and helpful, they offer a wide variety of services, such a carpets,appliances, doors, lumber Electrical supplies, lighting, and Garden centers, plumbing and power tools , come and visit them for all your household needs. I love shopping at Home Depot, great customer service. I bought some smoke detectors and carbon monoxide detectors and some tools today. Looking forward to returning soon. 👍🏽

3pm on Christmas Eve, we discovered our 20+ year old snow blower was dead. It was still snowing (and snowed for another 2 days after this). We decided we needed a new snow blower immediately. So we got to Home Depot 1 hour before they closed for the holidays. The sales person was extremely helpful. We found what we wanted but knew a built one wouldn’t fit in our SUV, and we didn’t have 2 days to wait for delivery. So he looked in back and found the item we wanted boxed. He measured the box, and then our car, the box was 1/2” bigger than my cargo area. So he started to look at the box, and cut it open. We found it was crated inside the box. He removed the blower from the box and that would fit in our car with space to spare. Then a few men helped load it in the car with wheels in the back so when we got home we could easily roll/lift it out. They took care of removing the box for us as well. The customer service was beyond spectacular! We so appreciated their assistance in helping us get this product and get it in our car! Thank you for the above and beyond, an hour before close on a holiday!

Sometimes difficult to find help. My son and I waited in the flooring Dept for several minutes and finally snagged someone to call and get us help. We did get a very nice and helpful person to set up an appointment for measurements.
