This place is a hidden eastside gem.Quality meat at great prices. Their ribeyes are some of the best in town. If you call ahead they will hand cut them any thickness you want. The prices are cheap because they sell so much. I have been going to them for years and their butcher always patient and polite.

This is a liquor/grocery store with a great, full-service meat and deli counter in the back with low prices. It reminds me of the old-fashioned stores I went to as a kid, before supermarkets put almost all the little guys out of business, or led them to stop carrying a full line of groceries. Sunset is still going strong, and you could do a complete food shopping trip if you wanted to, though the produce selection is not great. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The store could use an update, but as long as the food is good and the prices are right, I am not too concerned about it. Some more marginal customers like to hang out in front and buy liquor and lottery, but no one has ever bothered me or made me feel uncomfortable.

Last week I went in to grab the bf some smokes and a lady in a wheel chair was in trying to get help with a speaker she purchased there. The employee could have easily stated that they don't do technical support they just sell the product but the gentleman went above AND beyond and helped her. This type of customer service is rare today. You gained a liyal customer today!

They've recently decreased their selection of spices and ethnic food stuffs (the main reasons I shopped here, honestly) in favor of snacks. If you have chemical sensitivities, you might want to avoid this stop: the laundry aisle is central and there's apparently not much ventilation. But I hear their meat selections are fresh.

Very poor management. The store is very dirty. They treat their employees badly in front of customers. They have lost liquor licenses more than once. Presently this store cant even sell beer or liquor. Food is expensive. Hood store at its finest. BEWARE! People always outside asking for money.
