My husband and I went to pick up our firearms that we ordered and the person that was there was rude. I was trying to explain someone made a mistake on my file and put male when I am a female. All I wanted him to do is verify that the mistake was fixed but instead he was telling me they would never do such a thing that it was probably me. After talking to a manager, this employee didn't talk to us or apologized and took his time intentionally. Just rude. I will go elsewhere to buy my next firearm. I worked in retail for almost 5 years and my boss always said customer service is first and we needed to be respectful and kind.

Worst customer service experience of my life. Waited at the gun counter for 30 min and was never greeted. Wanted to buy a gun. I was the first person in line. People kept lining up behind me. One CSR person. Two different managers walked up, looked at the line and walked away. Multiple employees standing around doing nothing. More employees in the store than customers!! What a joke. Wont be back.

Purchased a Stoeger STR-9MC online yesterday, and received my confirmation/pick up email shortly after. I told the gentleman at the gun counter I had received my online confirmation to which was a big confusion for him, they had no record of my name or handgun being purchased because the system hadn't processed it yet. I was honestly hoping for a quicker checkout so no I don't recommend buying online to anyone. My biggest complaint is that they kept the firearm far away from me every time I got close to the counter, which makes sense because once I returned home I was surprised to see multiple deep scratches on the top part of my gun slide, I couldn't tell if it had been holstered a few times or even dropped maybe but regardless I thought that I paid for a 'factory condition' handgun, not a 'used' one. I was confused why no one brought it to my attention at checkout because it was obviously damaged. My advice to everyone is always ask to inspect your firearm before you start letting anyone do paperwork on it..all in all I feel duped.

A lot of firearms accessories and hunt equipment but firearms themselves are very low inventory. I notice the store and website offering price match guaranteed and would beat the competitors by 1%.. I tried to use this perk on a firearm that was listed in stock on their website and also listed in stock on a local gun store website.. so I drove 20mins to sportsman’s and told a sportsman’s association his reply was to go get the manager… but when the manager came out he basically said just go buy it from my local gun store because he can’t do anything …… so that ‘’BEST PRICE GAURENTEED’’ is basically fake to lure people in they don’t price match

A good sporting goods store. They have a good supply of gear for waterfowl hunting, wich is really nice for me. They have I nice size gun counter with a fairly large supply of hand guns and long guns. It's also convenient to have 5.11 tactical gear in the store as well. The camping and hiking gear section is well laid out and stocked as well. The pricing on apparel is pretty high though. Can't say much about the fishing or bow hunting departments as I've never been through them. They seem to be as well stocked and supplied as the rest of the store though.

Well stocked store that the area has needed for some time. Prices are competitive and they will beat others prices by 5%. I was greeted as soon as I came in and the staff was friendly and available.Selection was wide and covered everything you would need in Michigan including clothing and footwear.

This is the first Sportsman's Warehouse in Michigan. We were super impressed with the selection of quality products. I kind of expected the prices to be high, bit found most things to be pretty much on par. I think the price expectation was due to my gander mountain experiences.From a impressingly large selection of everything from pellet smokers and pellets, to a gigantic fishing selection that included live bait fish. The staff we interacted with were obviously not only knowledgeable, but passionate about the products they are selling.The store is huge, I didn't get to see everything before they closed for the evening. I'm looking forward to seeing the rest and getting supplies for an upcoming camping trip here. Very impressed with this place so far!

The store sent me an email telling me my gun was ready to be picked up, and that I had a 14-day window to pick it up. The email even offered the ability to schedule pickup which i did for 10am the following day. When I arrived at the store for the appointment that the store had confirmed just 60 minutes prior via email, I was told that the background checking system was down and they could not transfer me the weapon I had already paid for in full weeks earlier. I live 90 miles from this location and it’s the nearest location to my house. When I explained this and asked for money off the transaction because of the inconvenience their automated email system created, the store manager blamed the fbi and said he could cancel the order for me instead. Shop here if you want to witness incompetence in action.Since I left the store, I have called three gun dealers who have all confirmed that the NICS background checking service offered by the FBI is up and running so the issue is with this store’s connection and they lied to me about it. They specifically told me that the entire system has been down since yesterday because of issues with the fbi’s software. Proceed with extreme caution with the gun counter at this location. I will be contacting the Michigan attorney general’s office about this experience.UPDATE (10/30/2023): Since the automated response below I have called customer service and emailed as they requested. Both services said that they would get back to me within 24 hours. That was last week and I still have my get hear back. The store still will not let me come in and pick up the gun I paid for now almost a month ago. This place is a joke.

Not a gun guy so I’ve never interacted with that department. All I care about is fishing and boat / kayak stuff associated with fishing…Pretty decent selection to be fair. Do they have everything on the shelf that you can find on Amazon? Obviously not. But, compared to any other place that is not over an hour away from Lansing, this is as good as it gets.Staff is always helpful to the extent they are able to be. But they’re not subject matter experts in my experience, which is fine for this type of store.If you go in with reasonable expectations about what what this sort of place offers, you’ll be more than satisfied. If you expect them to be able to differentiate between the number of atoms comprising the alloy used in engineering revision number 8 versus number 9 of number 1 of 37 of the widget you’re looking for, then the problem is with your expectations, not the store….

They have mainstream items very limited in selection. Went there to get a release no quality releases in my opinion. No illuminated nocks. I just went to Arrowhead archery and got all I needed. If you're in Archer just go to a pro shop and don't waste your time.

The staff was very helpful in finding a coyote,fox, and other small animal call that has been raiding our hen population. We have it on camera and one of our horses chase it our of her pasture.

👎🏼*Edit*Sportsmans Warehouse reached out to me with concern about my unpleasant experience with their store. I appreciate that they did that. I initially gave them a 1 star rating because I stood at the gun counter to make a purchase and the gentleman working served two people who walked up and were behind me in line. He seen me standing there waiting, yet waited until there wasn't anyone else he can help before he helped me.I upgraded to 4 stars because the customer service responded to my poor rating. I do not know if they generally care, or if they're trying to save face to keep their rating high. I've purchased 2 rifles from a different sportsman's warehouse, and one handgun from this specific location.I wouldn't say that I wouldn't go to sportsman's warehouse, but I will say that it is unlikely that I will go to this one again.Also, there was a man working there who should be in Managment. He was professional and had the leadership qualities I look for in a leader. If I remember his name, I will update this post again.

I bought my first handgun, a Sig Sauer M18, at Sportsman's Warehouse. Overall I'm happy. The pistol is excellent, the store is well laid out and the staff was helpful. But don't get their charge card. I signed up for their charge card in order to get a discount on the handgun. But there was no way to set up an internet account to track my payments and balance. Store personnel were only able to tell me how much payment was due, but not account overall status. I finally gave up, paid off the entire balance, and cancelled the charge card. My credit rating took a 20-point hit after-the-fact. I would have given Sportsman's Warehouse five stars if not for their charge card.

The worst experience I’ve ever had buy a new gun. The guy working the desk at firearms misleads you and doesn’t offer any help understanding the forms. I will definitely buy my hunting gear and weapons from smaller retailers.

The young guy at the gun counter was nice and apologetic… only reason they are getting two stars instead of just one. They have a giant sign in their front door that they have “the best” prices around and they will beat any better price found.Well they had a micro red dot in stock that I was interested in. Another local gun shop had it advertised on their website for a whopping $90 less. I showed this to the guy behind the counter and told him to match the price and I’d purchase the red dot right on the spot. He went to check with his manager who refused to match the price. The manager couldn’t even take the time to come out and speak with me directly. I asked the sales guy why they wouldn’t match the price. He went to speak with his manager again, only to come back up front and offer $10 off. I purchased the red dot from their local competitor online while still in the store. Such a shame that they would not honor their own advertised price match. The salesman then had the audacity to tell me that if I worked there, I could get it even cheaper than the other store because employees “get great discounts”… needless to say I won’t be shopping there any longer.

Ordered a shotgun online for pickup and it turned out that the picture they had posted to the website was Incorrect. The staff was very kind and were able to fully refund my purchase. I actually ended up buying a better gun for a similar price. 10/10 staff 5/10 website

Recently walked in as a newbie shooter trying to learn the ropes for home defense and possible concealed carry in the near future. Got talking with a few fine gentlemen behind the counter, who never pressed any type of sales on me during our entire exchange.Told them my situation of being new and asked for their recommendations. They happily walked me down the line of viable beginner handgun options, let me hold each one, told me all the pros and cons, and even offered experience-oriented insight due to their individual military and police enforcement backgrounds. We must've talked for 45 minutes or so. They encouraged me to do some more research before buying and come back during the upcoming holidays because I could probably get some extra freebies by just waiting an extra week.Overall, very knowledgeable, friendly, and seemingly honest people who just want to help people find what works best for them. This location didn't end up having the model I ultimately decided on, but did have it available to ship to this location, and at the most competitive price I could find elsewhere on the internet.So far would recommend this place for anyone intimidated by the idea of picking your first firearm. Just be honest about your skill level and leave the ego at the door.

Ordered and paid for a pink Shotgun late November 2021 for my daughter's Christmas present. This was shipped to the store, put on the gun rack and sold. I stopped in 5 separate times to check on it with the manager getting very annoyed and said we will let you know when it gets here. It was already sold. After talking to customer service they they ordered me another gun and it got stolen! They gave me a discount code to use on a future gun purchase and ordered gun #3. Mid January they tell me they are sold out and get something different which I did. I saved up the rest of the year to buy a really nice waterfowl Shotgun and their code doesn't work. Customer service gives me a new one that can't be used on guns and has a max $50 off. I have been very patient to be treated like this. I just want you to make this right like you promised.

Delta Store Lansing, GL - gun counter is still piss poor and customer service should be number one period! Not here! If you want a good firearm culture and good customer service go somewhere else. Especially if you have to deal with the guys behind the gun counter. I feel they don’t pay attention or don’t care and are very under trained in just basic good, customer service. (Also, this store does not comply with “three day default proceed”under federal law ‘Brady Act’). And I say piss poor STILL, because you have reviews from three years ago that were negative, poor CS blah blah and you just say we apologize, “please reach out” and nothing changed. Nothing changes if nothing changes….

Good luck calling on a weekend. No one at any stores in my area even answer the phone. Sales are nonexistent, been told the best sellers never go on sale. You can order guns online for hundreds less. Sig sauer m400 pistol is a good example. Its never on sale but on sale online
