⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐I cannot say enough positive things about Petco in Lansing, MI! The staff here goes above and beyond to create a welcoming and knowledgeable environment for both pets and their owners. From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with friendly smiles and a genuine passion for animals.The store is well-organized, making it easy to find everything I need for my furry friends. The variety of high-quality products is impressive, and the staff is always ready to offer helpful advice and recommendations. It's evident that they care deeply about the well-being of pets and strive to provide the best products and services.Whether you're shopping for pet supplies, seeking grooming services, or simply looking for expert advice, Petco in Lansing is the place to go. This will be my new go-to place for stuff for my hamster! Staff were friendly and personable, and seemed like they actually cared about the wellbeing of the animals they sell, unlike other chain pet supply stores. This is also one of the only places I have been to where the membership is actually worth it! We saved over $70 on our order just by signing up for the membership, which is free. Highly recommend!

The Frandor Petco is my go-to place for cat food and litter and treats for my turtles. Went in today and loaded up on supplies, and asked the cashier (Johnny? I could be wrong on that) if he minded going to the back and getting me 70 feeder minnows. I apologized because I know it's an obnoxious task to catch and even attempt to count a netfull of wiggling minnows, but he was happy to do it! I asked what's the largest number of minnows he's ever had to count (knowing that many employees have had to do 100+ for other customers on occassion), and he said 70. 😂 I responded with, "You're welcome, and I'm sorry." A couple teeny minnows flopped out onto the ground, but he was careful to pick them up. We had a good laugh when the poor guy accidentally spilled water all down the front of his shirt and pants, "Billy Madison" style. He was in good spirits about it, and I told him that my turtles appreciate his sacrifice. Anyway, I've always had fantastic experiences with all the employees here! When we got back to the register and he rang up the mountain of things in my cart, he asked if I was interested in joining the Premium (paid) Vital Care. Normally I'm not big on subscriptions or anything, but he really sold it to me. After he explained it, it genuinely sounded like a good idea that will end up saving me quite a bit of money / would pay for itself, so I signed up! Anyway... if any managers are reading this, you should give him (and all of your employees) a bonus or a raise or something, because it's truly the employees that really make every visit enjoyable!P.S. — Please enjoy these action shots of two very happy turts chasing minnows!

Really good prices for their fish, but they weren't all super healthy. Did buy a Betta ❤️. They have a wonderful selection of pet accessories, food, and treats.

I had no issues at first and my dog has been going here a few times to get groomed. I have not been there in months and booked a future appointment and out of no where I get a call stating that my dog is a biter and they would like to cancel my appointment. If my dog ever attempted to bite anyone the groomer would have communicated that with me at the time he had several appointments with them but I never was communicated that Anna they always told me how they loved my dog. I don’t think they want to groom my dog and they pick and choose who they would like to deal with. I will never do any service here at petco ever again.

I have been to Petco in the past quite a bit I've even had my other dog groomed there but here lately these last 3 days I've been trying to call to make an appointment to self groom my new dog for it will be her first birthday and cannot get any answer on the phone it keeps going back to the original recording saying that all the groomers are busy at this time this is no way to run a business I will go elsewhere from now on. Very disgusted

I went in to get a plant for my fish tank today. I stopped to look at the betta fish and almost cried. Their water was dirty, they were gasping, some were floating, some were bloated and most had food that had been in the water so long it had a white film around it. Truly they were stuck in cups of death.I didn't find the plants I was looking for so I tried to look in the aquariums on the wall and could not get to them due to obstacles ...the hose on the floor, chairs, carts boxes and ladders. When I did catch a glimpse of them, there was dark algae on the plants, and rocks. At that point I went to find a manager or cashier and couldn't find anyone. As I left, there were two employees outside helping a man load an aquarium in his truck. I decided to just leave, because obviously they weren't managers. As I was going to my car one of the two employees came to collect carts and asked me how I was doing today. I told him about the sick and dying bettas and his only response was to say "you have a good day ma'am" and walked away.I hope he went in and corrected it, or told someone that they needed to change the water possibly saving a few lives, but I don't think I will shop there again. I can understand if they were short staffed that service and shelf stocking might suffer, but if the business sells live animals and fish they are responsible to MEET THE NEEDS and secure the health of the animals they are selling. It should be a priority. I don't know anyone who would buy a fish in the shape they were in...so these poor fish will likely not make it.

Leave it to one rude employee to ruin the store from now on. This place can't even tell you if your getting a male or female and the person working the fish department today was extremely rude and had absolutely no knowledge when it came to fish. Go flip burgers if you can't properly do your job at a pet store.

I just recently went to buy heavy bags of cat litter and there were no carts available. The staff was using all the extra carts and the other carts were filled with random items throughout the store Not one employee offered to let us use a cart or go grab the ones from the parking lot. I am disappointed

The general manager (Jonnie/Jonny?) of this location is truly remarkable! From dog and cat needs, to saltwater fish and now reptile care, it is clear the manager cares about my animals as if they were his own. There is never any upselling or anything, but rather always helping ensure I get everything I really need at the right price. They price match when there are obvious discrepancies, and always take the time to answer any questions I throw at them. Definitely recommend this location!

The store was very pleasant and cheerful, well-stocked, and had several sizes and varieties of the Tiki Cat dry cat food that our diabetic cat needs to stay healthy. I was able to buy a large bag of his favorite variety, and a small bag to try a new flavor (which he also loved)! Prices are good and the ability to drive up and get what I need rather than wait for delivery was convenient. Checkout was cheerful and there were at least two associates available if I had needed to ask for help.

Honestly I would never go here to buy your animals anything. They are never stocked and the customer service is awful they’re passive aggressive and combative. I called to make sure I could return something letting them know I didn’t have the receipt they said it was fine on the phone I go all the way to store and now I can’t do it. When she’s calls the manager to the register he acts like he couldn’t care less. Will not be going here again.

Started coming to this location after I adopted a cat in April, as it has a very convenient location if you’re a student at MSU.At first, it was great. They always had what I needed in stock, and very helpful employees.Unfortunately, that hasn’t been the case as of the last month or so. Whenever I visit to purchase litter or food, they have very limited stock. My cat’s very picky and will only eat Canidae, and now they no longer have any Canidae food (wet or dry) in stock.When I asked an employee if they have any, their explanation was that they thought they had plenty to restock the shelves when they checked, however, it had all expired so they had to throw it out.So now not only do I have to worry about whether or not it’s in stock, but also if it’s expired when it is in stock.Hoping things change soon, I’d rather not have to switch to Amazon.

Love everything about coming to this place! It's always so clean, employees are super friendly and the products are usually always on sale!! I take my pup, Winston to the grooming dept and Brianna does a STUNNING job with him every time. It is hard to find someone trustworthy and caring for your pet in this world and its so nice knowing that when we take him to Petco, we don't have to worry at all because he is always in good hands. Also - the prices are affordable for a decent groom! He just got a fresh do yesterday so enjoy a picture of him after spending the morning with Miss Brianna!

We own a Samoyed which is a very hairy white dog. Not all groomers can handle this type, but the groomer at Petco is exceptional. Our bed is King Size, Katy weighs 80 lbs.
