Been to this Hardware store many times over the years. They almost always have exactly what I need. The staff is knowledgeable and helpful. The prices may be slightly higher than the big box stores yet I prefer to support local hardware stores especially this one. I actually will drive from Dewitt to find what I need due to their great staff and inventory of items. Several years ago I purchased a Weber grill. They assembled it and delivered to our home for no charge!

Everyone is so helpful and knowledgeable at this location. Lori went above and beyond in me find the things I needed for a dryer gas line repair. She's helped me before too and she always knows her stuff. I really appreciate the handywomen that work there!

I had a big painting project and Jamie was so helpful and patient! I had to go back several times because I could not find the right color (my fault 🙄) and every time she treated me with kindness and gave me good recommendations/suggestions. If you need paint, and you go to this store, I highly recommend working with her!

Ace is the place with the helpful hardware folks! The store was really clean when I went there! I was greeted with a smile and asked how he could help me. He walked me to what I needed and asked if he could help with anything else. GREAT PLACE!! I was even surprised to see the hardware store sells cookware!(Side note: I did buy a bag of cherry sours. Didn't taste like cherry or sour. If you like the candy, you know what I'm talking about. Some places can make them great. Whatever company this was failed.)

Last week I was in your store for a few odds and ends. Because of my health I had to sit down as soon as I walked in the door. Almost immediately Chelsea was there to ask if she could help me find what I needed. She went above and beyond searching several departments to get everything I needed and was very pleasant. In short she is the model employee and I will be looking for her the next time I visit my local Ace Hardware Store

I'm giving 2 stars, because they did have what I was looking for. BUT, as soon as you walk in the door, all you smell is fertilizer. I'm sensitive to chemical smells like fertilizer, new carpet smell (off gassing chemicals), and exhaust from diesel vehicles. I found my item and got out fast! I asked the cashier if they just got a shipment of fertilizer since it's spring time. She said no, it always smells like that. I won't be back.

Exceptional delivery service. Reminders and tracking provided and a phone call to let me know when they were 10 minutes out. Fully assembled prior to delivery and propane tank connected on site. Very happy with these guys and our new Blackstone.

No matter what you need, you can always find it at Great Lakes Ace. They're incredibly nice about helping out this new homeowner and are entirely ok with you bringing your well-behaved and leashed dog inside with you. (I only do this when it's not busy and need to get a few things!)

Went in to pick up a lawn mower and left with a whole lot more. We interacted with four Ace employees while in the store and each one was wonderful. From the manager to the cashier to the guys who helped us load the car, they were friendly, kind, and more helpful than I've found anyone in any store in years. I have a few hardware stores closer to home but after today I'll drive the extra 15 miles to Frandor for important purchases.

I love having a hardware store closer to home. It's great for quick trips. Of course you have to brave Frandor to go there, but that's a different story. Today I stopped in for a quick purchase. They had one register and a very long line of folks waiting to checkout. When someone asked the lady at the paint desk about having only one register open with such a long line she said they only had one working register. She lied because shortly after another employee opened a second register allowing the line to move at a better pace. Thank you for the employees who don't lie and actually care.

I really love Ace hardware. They're always friendly, and they're knowledgeable. They can always tell me something about whatever I'm unsure of. They're not the cheapest. But, you don't have the lines like at the bigger places. Also, I don't think they carry cheap products. I've had really good luck with their tools, and everything.

This is a great little hardware store. I try to go there whenever I need something. They have a pretty decent selection for being a smaller store compared to a big box home improvement center. More importantly, I have found the staff to be very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. Store is always in good shape and things are where they belong. If you're in need of hardware, tools, or other things similar to these, give them a visit.

Always surprised by how every staff member knows where in the store to find every size wing nut, every diameter of pipe, every locking washer, brad, nail, screw. They are scary accurate.

I bought a Stihl chainsaw with warranty. Chain seized up. Took it in for repairs, Ace charged a $25 diagnostic fee for their labor for a repair under warranty. I was a 30 year customer, but I don't see myself coming back to a store with thus kind of shady business practice and I can't recommend it to anyone else. Keep away.
