Wonderful staff.... Devan was extremely helpful and personable. Had nothing but negative interactions when Soldans ran these stores. I initially refused to go their, but my service dog's cage broke, and I was desperate. No longer avoiding this location.

The new location is vey nice. It was clean and organized. They were short staffed so I had to wait for assistance (no big deal). The lower rating is because there were several items that did not have a price tag. This makes it impossible to make a decision on if I am purchasing the item. Every single item should have a price tag.

I regularly buy my bird seed here and someone always carries it out to my car. Great staff and service. Love your new store!

First visit after Feeder’s buyout.Was disappointed. Stock was not only down but they seem to have cut their selection and to top it off, prices seemed higher.I was looking at the dog treats, the chews. Not good. Treat selection was as bad as Meijer. Either too expensive or tiny junk(still overpriced).Prices either went up 50% or doubled.

Great pet store, I just wish they had a variety of cheaper products as well. They sell high quality items but my cat doesn't need a $20 fancy wood handled brush, plastic would be fine for $5. (This is just an example, I'm not bashing on any product in particular). That being said this is the only brick-and-mortar pet store I still use.

I was really disappointed. The worker that I spoke with talked me out of buying a pair of African frogs. Although I went to buy a betta. She then said that the betta were different prices, left to get someone else. No one came. So I just left.

What a well stocked store! We only needed cat food, but we enjoyed looking at cat toys, cat furniture, and small animal and bird supplies. We didn't even start on all the food, toys, clothes, leashes, meds, grooming, and more for dogs. Of course, then there are the supplies for large animals like llamas, alpaca, horses, etc. Did I mention the fish and reptile supplies? Must see to believe. ...and the prices are very competitive; especially if you sign up for the rewards program.

My family loves Soldans, has everything we need for our pup. Large aisles, pet friendly, beautiful location, and clean. Staff are friendly and have excellent customer service! I love that it’s in our community and just a short walk or bike ride from our home. And the dog washing station is a plus💜

Solden's is now Feeder's. They no longer carry straw, which was my primary reason for going there. The person who I spoke with, a supervisor or manager, was curt and unfriendly. I understand that new ownership means changes, but an "I'm sorry, but we won't be stocking that any longer" would have been a more user-friendly response.

Love this place! We brought a new rescue to on of VipPetCare's vaccines clinics and the Soldan's staff were very kind and welcoming to him, while being understanding when he had an accident. Thank you!!

Really disappointed with my experience at the South Lansing Soldan's. After double checking the website, and driving across town, I was abruptly informed that the self-serve dog wash "always closes at least an hour before the store closes". I arrived at 6:30pm (the store closes at 8pm). I truly want to support a local business but if the staff are rude and the advertised services unavailable, I just can't. How about you update the website, do some staff training on "how to be reasonably polite to customers", and figure out if even having a dog wash is realistic.

This is a super nice and roomy place. I have been able to find the things I have needed which is pretty awesome. I wanted to try CBD for joint pain our elderly dog and they had them. But when I went to get more I thought they were in the locked case. The staff has been super nice and friendly so don't be afraid to ask for help because they actually seemed happy 😊 to help! Stuff is pricey but it's convenient. I also needed a giant cat litter box and they had a gargantuan box which made me happy as well.

Staff is VERY helpful, considerate, and knowledgeable. The store is very well stocked with a variety of brands across the spectrum... equally stocked in feed, toys, accessories, and even has no appointment veterinarians available on weekends. The prices are competitive with other retailers as well as on line distributers such as Chewy.

I bought a Heat lamp for my bearder dragon burnt out in 21 days I was told that i had a 60 day return policy by the employee at the store and didnt need to keep the receipt because im a rewards member or the packaging but they wouldn't let me exchange it because i don't have the box the lady on the phone also wasnt very nice about it even offered the leave the new box behind she just didnt want to help me said she was the assistant manger when i asked to speak with a manger

Brand new and very clean. Haven’t gotten the chance to use these baths yet, but I’ve used them at a couple of their other locations in the Lansing area and I have nothing but good things to say since I have a hairy dog that would clog my shower drain if I bathed her at home.The management at these stores always seems to hire amazing employees. I recently visited this location and needed to get my pup a new tag. While I was using the machine, the store was fairly slow, so the employee came over and sat on the floor and pet/entertained my dog while I was working on the tag. It was very sweet.A different time, I went to this location and an employee was talking to me about how she uses the same food brand as me and told me why she loves it, then she gave me a “good job, dog mama!” And honestly, don’t we all need that kind of encouragement in regards to pet parenting? (Feel free to reference my review of the Okemos location where they actually recommended this food brand to me!)I love this store. I can’t imagine shopping anywhere else for my sweet girl. 💕

Was in around 7p on Monday. My first trip in for the new year. I just ran in for a few treats.The young man at the counter was most courteous and knowledgeable.Great price points, cleanliness and extended services. There's even a postal box in their lot if you have things for the mail.Stop in. A continuing great asset for the community.

Nice new store. Very clean. Spacious, good lighting, and a nice layout. Store sectioned by type of pet. Open to 8 pm on Saturday. Good assortment of pet foods at a variety of price points. A good place to browse.There is a loyalty/frequent buyer program available. We regularly earn coupons and free bags of Nutri Source cat food.
