Took my rescue dog here after exhausting all other options to get her nails clipped. She’s 80lbs of muscle and terrified of trims, and I had only managed to cut ONE nail in around 7 months of having her. Two vet’s offices could not do it (even while she was on her trazodone), and it was looking like I was going to have to have her fully sedated for a trim. That being said, we were in and out of Classy Canine in under 10 minutes with freshly trimmed nails and my mind was blown. They are so patient and fantastic and truly interested in your pet and their well-being. We will definitely be back! Toffee says thank you!! :)

I would get them 10/5 if I could. They are amazing!! When you have a senior dog you want to take them someplace where they will be in good hands and you don't have to worry about your dog getting too stressed out. The Classy Canine is the perfect place for dogs of all ages. My dog is 14 years old and this is where I take her. I have been going here for three years since we moved to the Lansing area. I can't brush her myself (she gets very sassy and runs away), but my old lady dog will let the groomers here work on her. As a Shiba she has two major blow outs a year and when she gets a million little tufts all over her body is when I make the call. They do book up fast, that it can be difficult to get in right away, but this speaks the quality of this place and why everyone comes here.

Recommended by our vet and we have had no issues, only superb service for our poodle mix. I recommend scheduling at least 2 or 3 visits after your groom as they are busy busy! Better to get on the book than to desperately need your dog groomed and have to wait a couple weeks. They are so good with our dog, have been since she was a pup.

I've taken my dog here a few times now and we've really enjoyed the experience. The staff is always very friendly and remembers my dog, which makes the experience feel more personal than a lot of other places we've tried. They do such a great job handling my dog and he always looks and smells great afterward. The only thing that I would change is for them to add some sort of price points/price ranges for their various services online. This would make me feel more comfortable with what to expect when we go. I would be more willing to take my dog more regularly and add on additional services if I can plan out my spending.

Do you wonder if your dog is being treated gently at the groomer's? Is your dog nervous about being groomed? Those were my concerns before I found the Classy Canine. I had a standard poodle who acted terrified whenever I took her to another local groomer. One day someone there joked about how my dog would hide in the bathroom -- closing the door herself -- whenever I brought her in. So I showed up early to pick her up and got an earful of abusive yelling from behind a closed door. That's when I looked for a new groomer.I took my dog to the Classy Canine for the rest of her life. We now have another standard poodle, and he loves going to be groomed there.The groomers are gentle and patient, and they agree to be monitored with security cameras so there's no doubt about your dog's experience when you aren't present. No medications are given to your dog without your permission. (At some places groomers administer sedatives without the owner's knowledge.) Prices are set at the going rate.I even know a vet whose dog always gets groomed at the Classy Canine.

Love The Classy Canine. After the my dog Sophie's first visit, she was so happy to go again. She positively ran to the car the shop when we came the next time. Everyone in the shop adheres to the highest standards of humane handling of pets. When I colleague moved to the Lansing area with a very nervous dog, I recommended The Classy Canine to her and she had the same experience: her dog went from nervous to overjoyed to go to his grooming appointments.

Highly recommend Classy Canine in East Lansing!!! I take my standard poodle Ariel to the girls and they do an amazing job! Ariel loves to go to the spa for the day :) She is pampered and cared for by Karina and her wonderful employees. The girls at Classy Canine take extra time to make sure your pet is comfortable! If your dog or cat needs breaks they are happy to let them relax. Karina and the girls always go the extra mile!!! I love when they paint Ariel's toe nails and put bows in her hair!!! And of course all the girls are very knowledgeable so I know my baby is in good hands!!! Definitely give them a call!!!

I can't recommend Classy Canine enough! I've been taking my dogs here for 15 years. They are highly professional, offer great service and grooming, and so easy to work with. I'd get my hair cut there too but they don't groom humans. : )

We had a wonderful experience at Classy Canine! My dog Lucy has a severe anxiety when it comes to getting her nails trimmed. It usually takes 3-4 people to hold her still so we can trim her nails. We've tried other grooming salons and were never satisfied with the results. We took Lucy in to see Karina and Lucy did sooo well! Karina sang to her and as trimmed her nails and Lucy was so calmed by it that she didn't move an inch. She didn't require anyone extra to hold her and she left a very happy doggy, and I was a very happy customer :) I would recommend them and I will be returning.

Love, Love, Love - The Classy Canine!! Karina and all her staff are terrific!! I have a Shih Tzu who was terrified of being groomed and now with Karina's calm and happy demeanor she is pulling on her leash and running across the parking lot to paw at the door to get in and doesn't give us a second look when we leave her there. The cut is always great and she looks so pretty when she is done. Would highly recommend this company and groomer!! She truly cares for the animals as if they were her own and is always willing to talk with you about any problems or questions you may have too!!
