Very vegan-friendly grocery store. I really enjoyed this vegan cake by Classique Gifts & Bakes. Capital City Market carries items from a local vegan restaurant called Veg Head. There is also a huge selection of vegan desserts from Michigan-based companies including Rise Authentic Baking Co., Just Enjoy, Classique Gifts & Bakes.

A fantastic store to shop at right in the heart of Lansing. Walking through the store is always an enjoyable experience with an amazing variety of products I do not normally see at a traditional Meijer. Parking is easy and free.

We shop here regularly. There are constantly homeless people here–I've been asked multiple times for money by people while shopping. There's a couple of shelters/food banks of sorts nearby, so that must be why.Despite this, they carry good brands, and is in a convenient location. I'll continue shopping here for a quick grocery trip while out and about.

Things are oddly placed and not 1 cashier although there is a couple employees standing there to help and are very friendly knowledgable and helpful. Prepare to run back and forth looking for products. Not big selections. But all and all they are trying. Always be careful when buying meat as anywhere but take extra precautions here.Parking is horrible, hard to get to lot in back of store and other options is park on Michigan Avenue.

The markets of meijers have made their way to the capitol city in a modern twist on grocery shopping. This location has earned the nickname 'the boujie Meijers' Part whole foods, part traditional grocery store, you will cherish your time inside with many products a normal Meijers refuse to stock like artisanal loaves or double weight whole milk, they even had a guac station video console for the kids! Very thoughtful and pleasant. I like that you can return the cans outside. There is no one to scan your item it is all self serve inside, the buggy's are cute and I have noticed other Meijers may have adopted them. A man outside told me to smile more, but I don't think he worked there. Shows how friendly everyone is around here!!

Good shopping experience with stocked shelves and lots of "deli" or specialty items available! Clean store, and two employees greeted me. The self check out cashier was very nice and helpful and I was able to use my MPerks rewards with ease!

My first visit. First, behind store is ample parking for free! That's so cool in down town. Next I like the vibe inside the store. Clean. Orderly. Logical layout. Totally blown away by the produce dept and the super cool liquor dept. Helpful staff. EZ check out process. Really enjoyed this visit.

I was inside the market and my maps didn’t register my arrival & the prices are higher then other markets in the area. However, the product variety is excellent. They have a vegan cooler, locally grown products, fresh fruits and vegetables, a deli, sushi bar, lots of different meats and drink selection. There is a bottle return outside of the store near the parking. Really convenient! The sitting area near the deli is really chic & spacious. Little carts for the kiddos!! The market is well thought out concept of a market: it’s clean, and welcoming. It has a upscale environment. Very inviting.

Decent place. I wanted to like it more because it's located in a convenient place and has good veggies. Always seems under-staffed and the selection in some sections is less than a regular Meijers. Worth stopping in, but be aware they might not have the brands you expect from a Meijers. Parking in the back is good.

I am so fortunate to live Downtown now. This is an excellent addition. So many choices you can't catch at a regular Meijer. Great adult beverage section! Love this place! The only downside might be if you like your groceries bagged. Everything here is self check out..

Our family's go-to when we need something quick that's nearby when it comes to grocery needs. While this place has a smaller selection of products than a regular Meijer, the selection they do carry a good mix of essentials and some higher end products. I especially love the local Michigan made offerings they have here. They carry some ready made meals from local restaurants as well.

Really nice store with an upscale artisan feel. Large sections for produce, wine, and Michigan craft beer. There's a coffee bar, deli, and sushi counter, and an abundance of Michigan-made products throughout. There's definitely a focus on smaller, single items with the notion that people will shop frequently, picking up only a few items at a time, vs occasional volume shopping to stock up. Oh, and parking was ample and free.

This store is very clean a posh. The focus is on tons of alcohol and groceries. They don’t sell postage stamps, envelopes or make money orders.Truly beautiful but inconvenient!!

It's a nice little market. Very clean. It has a decent variety of goods. The prices aren't horribly expensive. It's convenient to downtown and Sparrow Hospital. And there's a bus stop right outside for those of us who use public transportation.

I didn't see a reason this store would replace my normal visits to a regular Meijer, but I can see how convenient this store is for downtown. You can get mostly the same things here as you can at a bigger store. Things are in less quantity, so some things were sold out. The store itself is more like Fresh Thyme in design. It just feels like a fancier Meijer. I also noticed some items are cheaper, while others are more expensive than a regular Meijer.Self checkout is nice, not accepting Meijer coupons is weird.

I came here to grab some fruit. We were staying the the hotel next door so it was very convenient. I felt it was pricey. Parking is the back of the building.

I love this place. It is an OCD dream and is so satisfying to walk through. This seems to be an odd component of a review unless you've walked through the store and you already understand what I mean. Everything is perfectly faced and stocked and just looks superb. There is such a great variety of items and plenty of small, local business options as well. Plus, there is a small coffee shop along with fresh made sushi made right there as well. I noticed there wasn't any sale tags like you would find at meijer (this is a meijer store) so that is different.

This place is AMAZING! Aside from being a beautiful atmosphere, the people are kind, it is uber clean, it has a fantastic supply of local Michigan made products and it has a great little coffee shop! I wish that our Okemos Meijer were half as nice. This place is a treat!

Great market that is clean, organized, and well laid out. Love the beautiful section of spirits. Only down side is the population of homeless that seemed to loiter in the dining area.

It's cute but kind of out of my price range most of the time. I do love that they pour so much into the community with grants and local sellers and keeping the bathroom clean is huge!

A MUCH NEEDED addition to Downtown Lansing - an actual grocery store.Other than proximity (which is a mere 4 minutes away from my house), this particular Meijer definitely focuses on Michigan-made, especially Locally-Made, products and brands. A food store in the Capital should showcase the great foods Michigan offers. The staff are friendly, warm, and quite helpful. Hopefully, they'll be just as inviting and helpful when I call for some late minute items that I need... on my 20th or 200th visit.I will be calling this my main store from now on, with the W. Saginaw location as my backup.

Great location and addition to downtown Lansing. Capital City Mkt has my favorite Michigan Frozen fruit and Vege line, Michigan Farm To Freezer products, all sourced from Michigan Farmers.

This is the Meijer's. I actually use a lot, they they they have excellent customer service. They will hope you find What You Need. And they might have items that other stores might not have of the same branch.

Im disgusted and over it. I’ve had rotten meat from here. I’ve seen the meat and cheese trays be absolutely grotesque. Employees are mostly nice but constantly on their phones. Over priced compared to Meijer stores. Now I grab a pack of dogs bun’s without looking. Watch some football, grab my beef Koegels, and low and behold, the buns are freaking moldy. I’m telling everyone I see to not go here and I will advocate against you. You’re disgusting

Fun place to shop - lots of unique food choices, great stock of necessities, huge alchohol selection and so pretty! Not a big fan of self-check out though, which seems to be the only choice.

Every cart has a broken wheel so while you shop you can hear the cart vibrating and shaking and feel it pulling to one direction. The store never leaves shopping baskets near the parking lot entrance so you will be screwed into dealing with a garbage cart. The bagged shredded cheese always smells like it went bad last month and the strawberries and blueberries come with free mold.

3.75 stars overall5 stars for convenience4 stars for selection3 stars for priceI love that we have another neighborhood market to pop in to. It’s incredibly convenient, and very cool to see local products on the shelves. My only issue is that many prices , such as produce, seem incredibly high and inflated compared to a normal market or regular Meijer
