Modern One in Walled Lake is the best! They have an abundance of selections, sales people/customer service is outstanding, installers are top notch. We have had them install carpet, which was done perfectly. When we were shopping for hardwood flooring alternatives, they educated us on the best options and we could not be happier with our choice. They will even bind carpet to make custom area rugs! And on top of it all, their prices are fantastic!

I would highly recommend Modern Carpet to anyone looking for quality products, salespeople who are knowledgeable, and installers that are professional and polite as well as amazing! We worked with Bill and Harriet in the store and they helped us pick products that were superior to anything available in the big box stores. Juan and his team of installers were awesome. They left our home cleaner than they found it, and not just in the rooms they worked on. They told us the install plan and they followed it exactly. Go ahead and compare stores, but bring their sample and prices to Modern Floor so they can show you why you will be happier with them.

Amazing job on my office redo since I’ve been working from home since the pandemic started. Tons of selection to choose from, very knowledgeable and friendly staff and when you start the process you get a dedicated salesman who will be your contact for the whole process which makes it so much smoother than other places I’ve used. Installers were a little short staffed last minute on my install date but they communicated well and made the extra effort to get my install done within 24 hours of the original time. The installers were so sweet too. I had the best experience here and will be using them again when I do the next room. Hopefully our salesman, Mike, will still be there when we do. Thanks for everything Mike and the whole staff!!

We had a wonderful experience at Modern Carpet One. Gemma, our sales rep, was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and made us feel like we could ask any questions we had (as many times as we needed it explained!). She explained the density of carpets and it's effect on wear and tear - she really knew her stuff!When installation day came, David, our installer, was extremely friendly and efficient. He did the entire job by himself and was very pleasant to interact with. He re-explained anything we needed to discuss and it was clear he and Gemma had good communication about the job beforehand.We would definitely hire them again and I highly recommend you do, too.

Absolutely great experience with Carpet One! We’ve used them for multiple flooring projects. Most recently to replace the main level of our home and we couldn’t be happier. The team at the show room is always so helpful with design ideas and picking out products. The installers were great and did an outstanding job. Once again Modern Floors has delivered for our family. Shortly after our first child was born they redid our carpet throughout the house and did an amazing job. We had a kitchen remodel this year and were thinking maybe we could save some money by doing the floor ourselves. When we went to start it became very clear how big of a job it would be. I got Gemma on the phone and the incredible knowledge she had about what would make the most sense for our situation and our house made it SO clear how much we did NOT know about floors. She immediately gave us confidence that they were the right fit for the job and they were absolutely worth every penny. I’m so relieved we dodged headaches and got the job done right in our most used room in our house. The floor is gorgeous and I would recommend this company to anyone - they were fast too - which made a big difference to us!!

Great experience. We had 2 houses carpeted. The new house got upgraded and the old house got refreshed. Harriet did a great job from carpet selection to coordinating the installation. Installers did a great job, especially in the basement of the old house, which was a little bit tricky (in my mind) . Would recommend to anyone. Price is competitive and service is really good.

Modern Floors Carpet One installed carpet and tile in both my work place and my home. It was such a pleasant experience dealing with Shannon and the installation crew. I dreaded trying to pick out the carpet and tile but it was almost a painless experience working with Shannon. She is very knowledgeable about the products and has a great sense of design. Everything was done on time and the workmanship was excellent.

Harriet was extremely helpful. After explaining to her that one of my dogs has a unique floor scratching habit, she steered me away from berbers to something that looks a lot like a berber but won't be destroyed by my dog. Also, both the measure person and the installer were great to work with

I previously bought carpet here for my family room and returned preparing to purchase laminate flooring and carpet.The person who was coming to measure called my husband a day early and my husband thought that this was a spam caller. There was a huge misunderstanding and my husband apologized.This company decided that they did not want my business.I am in the service industry and honestly cannot believe that this happened.Is this company so wealthy that even after my husband apologized they don't want our business?I was going to pay cash.Please know that apparently this company feels as though they are doing you a favor working with you.

Modern Carpet One gave us top notch service from start to finish. Gemma and Harriet helped us find the very best flooring and Mike and Jamie installed it flawlessly. Both the office and installing personnel were courteous, professional, punctual, attentive to detail, and dedicated to quality service. Our great room was transformed from embarrassing to elegant. We used Modern Carpet a few years ago for a new carpet install, and after some water damage, hired them again to come out and replace the padding and re-lay the carpet. Very professional company who knows their stuff. Mike, Mike and Harriet were great. Highly recommend Modern Carpet to anyone.

"EXCELLENCE" is the first word that comes to mind when I think of our shopping/buying experience at Modern Floors. Harriet was our sales representative and her guidance, knowledge, and patience helped us to make the perfect choice for our new kitchen floor. The installers (Scott & Scott) also did a great job putting in the new floor. The professional staff and selection of products at Modern Floors exceeded our expectations in both sales and installation. We would highly recommend them to anyone needing new flooring.

100% disappointed! I was called 4 times during the quoting phase as they couldn't find my folder with carpet choice. I was shut down when I wanted to upgrade my pad. I believe the cheaper version of the carpet I picked out was installed too. The person installing was very nice but he left a mess in my driveway. And of course they wanted to be paid 100%. So today, Oct 1 they want to talk to me about my dissatisfaction...but when I discussed all this with Brandi when she called to ask for final payment, there was no concern then. It's only when I give a bad review.
