This store has a little bit of everything. Stopped here and was pleasantly surprised by the wide array of items. The cashiers were very nice and helped me find t-shirts for my daughters. It’s like a little gift shop. Really cute place

This is a truly amazing store and I could have spent hours there! My husband and I stopped in on a rainy day while vacationing on Torch Lake. The store is listed on TripAdvisor as one of the top 10 things to do on a rainy day, and it certainly did not disappoint. Nice to be able to help support a family business. Thank you to the wonderful staff member who assisted us.

Venturing into town and need of knick-knacks, hardware or games. Search no further... what a fun store to be in. This is a kid and adult Candy Store! Gifts and galore. Highly recommend a stop and support small businesses like this. You name it, Bachmann's has it.

First time here in Central Lake, this little store has everything under the sun in it, remember old time 5 and dime store, your mom and pop stores, this was it. Definitely glad I stopped in.

What a fun store! Full of eclectic and retro stuff. Always stop and buy all our stocking stuffers here. A little off the main road, but worth the detour.

There's a sign on the entrance door that says "this door is 112 years old... Please be careful".This is a store right out of the 50s 60s. It's got all your favorite toys from childhood. Spirograph, rug hook kits, paper dolls. There's a counter with every imaginable penny candy.There's also household goods, kitchen supplies, candles.Stoo by and support local. Good people, good place to visit.

They had a surplus of many different items. I had fun walking around the store with my mother just looking at things. Their candy corner was very neat. A good place to go, especially if you are a tourist.

This is a great store! A little bit of everything in Central Lake. Good jigsaw puzzle selection and prices, lots of fun regional t-shirts and sweatshirts, kids toys and books galore and a wide variety of fun candies.

I love this store. I use to gather up some of my dads change when I was a kid and ride my bike down and get a HUGE bag of candy. I walk in there now and it just brings back so many memories. Great place. Hasn’t changed in years, other than some new items but still has that old town feel. Please don’t ever change.

I have been visiting this awesome little store since I was a kid and make sure every year on vacation I now take my kids too! The staff is so nice and the pick your own candy has always been our favorite!!! Thank you!!!

I’ll preface this with stating that this is my experience with this store. Your experience may be very different. And remember all experiences are subjective. Bachmann’s is a delightful, charming 80-year step-back into the past. Looking for 3-D glasses or a classic penny-candy selection? This is the place. They will do ANYTHING necessary to make your experience positive. While a bit more expensive, the mom & pop experience is MORE than worth it! From water balloons to jigsaw puzzles, they’ve got it ALL! 5+ STARS!

Been coming here since i was a kid for the penny candy and other sundries available. Everyone is always great and they have a little bit of everything and typically have exactly what i need when i need it. Now i am taking my daughter there and will continue to see them first for everything.

Lots of candy, lots of other things like thermometers, flags, school supplies, baby toys, etc. And the prices are very low, (for example) you can buy a bag full of one flavor fruittys for 1 dollar. Model cars are only 5 to 10 dollars. Some candy is only 25 cents.

This is a fun store to browse & buy t-shirts, hats, candy, novelty items, remnant fabric and lots more stuff. It is the size of two store fronts with wooden floor and a bank vault left over from its previous life. A quaint, old-timey store such as Bachmanns adds to the charm of visiting Central lake.

"Bachmann's" as it is known, has a great selection of drugstore products not often found today. In addition, it has a wonderful candy counter with penny candy—a surefire way to get kids excited without breaking the bank. If you are coming by boat, it's a short walk from the docks on the Intermediate Lake side.
