We rented a cabin with our kids. Our regular campground was booked. So this was our first time. I grew up in Irish Hills and had no idea this place existed. We will be back. It was perfect for what we needed. The whole area was out of power after a storm, so some of the amenities were unusable. But the cabin had a refrigerator, electric outlets, a ceiling fan, One full/Q bed and a twin bunk. Outside was a fire pit and picnic table. Includes a broom so you can keep the sand to a minimum. Dog friendly. Many people keep their RV here year round and put a lot of work into their site.

Would not recommend. Cabin was ok was dirty had to clean it before bringing stuff in. Bathroom showers were terrible and the water stinks like metal/rotten eggs. We wouldn't even brush our teeth with it used our bottled water. Changed the rules about closing time for the pool at will. It rained and it turn into standing water everywhere. Not much going on for kids other than the pool. Guy running the store had the personality of a rock. Thought we left something in the cabin. No one answered or called back when inquiring about it. Would not return.

It was ok. The people were friendly. We didn't swim because there was a film in the pool but most of the time it was over crowded. Had to pay for wifi, it was cheap but still. All the people walked their dogs for the bathroom at the kids playground which didn't make a lot of sense. There just wasn't much to do if you couldn't squeeze into the pool.

very unprofessional management! Was only there for 13 hours and 6.5 hours was sleeping at night! Woke up the next morning with the manager showing up at the sites being a bit bold and stern saying we she had several complaints about us. (we played a couple games of cards yes there was some sporadic laughter that lasted a moment or two) we were then told we had to apologize to the campers around us and if it happened again we would be kicked out with no refund! So we Pondered on what she said. We are on vacation ! we booked 4 sites from thur night to tue morning . So we tried to come up with a solution before there was a problem. we wanted our money back and we where willing to lose the day just so we could move to another campground! So we go up to the office we talk to them we then were told only one camper made a complaint infact . The gentleman we were told to talk to asked us can't you just be quite and we said no we were not even loud at all and then he proceeded to tell us he would only give us one day back . I then told him that's not even a compromise! We went back and forth a few times (about how it's going to mess up his weekend and I told him it's messing up our vacation!) and then he did come with the same solution and we packed up and left thanks to "The Groves campground " for Accepting us we had a great time ! I do not recommend Apple Creek at all..

This place is such a hidden gem! It truly feels like you’re up north. The owners were very friendly, the campground is well maintained, and the amenities were all nice. The camp store was adorable. We loved the unique candy options and of course dip n dots. The pool was moderately warm and the deck area was kept up. The playground is a little older but still fun. It is centrally located for easy access no matter where you’re staying. It’s the kind of park where you can send your kids to play, and let them be kids without worrying. It felt very safe. Usually at campgrounds where it’s mostly seasonal you get stares & feel like the odd man out. Not here, the seasonals were very friendly. The hiking trails were nice, but it would be helpful if there was a trail map or markersThe sites themselves were a little confusing. The person next to us parked in the wrong spot and I could understand why. It all worked out though. Most of the transient sites were roomy. Our site was huge! We loved how shady it was. Keep in mind there is very little grass. It’s mostly dirt/sand. So you, your pets, and children will be filthy by the end of the night LOL.There were bad reviews about the owners, water, electrical, and it being a party campground. We had no issues with the owners. The water is typical hard water like most campgrounds that smells metallic. You’re camping, don’t expect hotel quality water! The electrical could probably use an update. The campground wasn’t busy and we had some flickering power. Bring a surge protector. I imagine it might struggle if they were at capacity. As for it being a party campground, we didn’t get that vibe. I’d prefer a campground that lets people relax over an uptight one any day though.Overall we had an excellent weekend and can’t wait to come back!!l Thanks for the hospitality.

Have mixed feelings about the roads in campground when it rained they turn into streams and after is mud holes everywhere give them credit the bath house was cleaned alot and was pretty good condition and pool area other than that it looked like improvements needed including don't bother with mini golf. So much for the 11pm quiet time too.

We camped there over the 4 day weekend and had a wonderful time. Two of the days it rained hard and flooded however it drained and dried up quick. It was a very "woodsy" setting and the staff was very friendly, we will definitely be going back

We love Apple Creek! They let kids be kids and allow adults to relax and have a good time! They don't have crazy rules imposed on their campers. This is a super safe place for kids to roam around and have a good time. There are a bunch of golf cart trails and the place is kept up great. Our first weekend there was last year. We got a great spot. One of the annual campers had a birthday party for their son. The kids were having a blast riding their bikes around and playing with their walkie talkies. We were able to sneak in another weekend last year. When we arrived the power was out because of a huge storm. The owner after just having knee surgery did everything he could to get the place up and going again! We really appreciate Tommy and his family. We also spent some time with one of the annual campers. Super nice guy and family! We are planning to come back this year and next are bringing our family.

This place is for the old people to camp. And they don't like fun...O and everyone goes to bed at 9pm so u r not allowed to have any kind of laughter and joy after 9pm. The lady that runs the place is rude and talks to u like u r a child. It's not a campground where u can go to with friends and hang out and have fun after 9pm.And there is sand everywhere.Noteworthy details: Not a fun and enjoyable experience.

All I can say is DO NOT GO HERE. Obviously, they really don't care about taking care of this place. I am not a prude and have camped for the last 20 years, and have traveled the USA, and I have to say this has been the worst ever. No hot water, filthy filthy bathrooms, mold, broken showers, broken toilets, at least an inch of crud on the bathroom screens, so totally disgusted. Save yourself aggravation and find somewhere else to go.

Campground is more of a party campground then a family campground. The smell of weed is over whelming. Between the loud campers and the golf carts flying throughout the campground at night, makes it kinda difficult to sleep especially for kids. There is a 5mph speed limit that is not fallowed and the owners fly through the campground even around kids playing. The smell of the water makes you not even want to shower in your camper and the facilities aren’t any better, they could be cleaned more often then what they are. The pool is not big enough to accommodate for the parks guests especially on holiday weekends which can get unsafe for kids. Almost all of the sites are dirt and sand. The campground rules are not applied to everyone just the ones that the owners choose to single out, favouritism is a big problem. This campground could have great potential if the owners would stop worrying about their pockets and worry more about the park!! Will not take my family back!!

Had camped here a few times and really liked it. Even talked about getting a seasonal site. Electric is old and the first time we were there in 2021 one of the boxes even caught fire. It’s an old campground but it didn’t bother us though. We booked another trip and were excited when we arrived. Long story short -between the owners completely rude wife and the neighboring site having their truck parked in the spot where we needed to park our camper (and apparently it would be hours before they would be back) we decided to leave. While there is more to this story, I will just say I will never give my money to them again.Advice to the owner – be kinder to your guests especially when campgrounds all over the state are not at full occupancy. We had no issue finding another place to spend our money. Do you really want to lose money because of a miscommunication? And mark the site lines so people can actually know where their sites are and don’t park their vehicles on the next site over.

First time here and definitely coming back. Love the fact that they actually have trees so you not baking in the sun. Very clean. I'm staying in a cabin and it to was clean. Met the owners and they are super friendly along with the other campers. Pool is clean and perfect temperature for cooling off. The huge bonfire tonight was spectacular! Just having a fun time.

Water smells like eggs. Which is disgusting. Super loud night & morning. Random golf carts so loud @2 am. The man in the office was rude when I checked out. I won’t be staying here again. No pool chairs or room for stuff. Especially for the price no. I talked to some seasonal & they didn’t even like staying here either. Go somewhere else.

Apple creek is a nice campground with a up north feeling unfortunately that's where it ends, my son and grand daughter came out to visit the owner yell at him for doing 7mph instead of 5mph then she said she might not let him enter, next she yelled at my wife for speeding when she took garbage to dumpster we camp every week we don't speed!!! We woke up Sunday our camp site was under about 6 inches of water what a mess so now my camper is covered in mud, long story short if you are seasonal you are gold if you camp for the weekend they treat you like second class citizens!!

The man at the check in counter was nice. But, the full time campers were a bit rude and inconsiderate. The area we were in is all dirt. We went across to an empty site with grass for my dogs to go to the bathroom..... (they wont go in dirt) before they even finished a lady comes walking towards me yelling "you have to clean that up." Mind you, they only peed.Later that night, another group behind whose site was behind our campsite was literally 2 feet outside of our camper... right behind our it partying and playing loud music. We had to ask them to go back to their campsite. Not to mention we paid 89 for 2 nights and the electric hookup was so far away from our site that our rv cords wouldn't reach. The office was giving them out to people due to this and we got the last one they had and it was fried like it had burnt up.Will not return. Expensive for nothing.

Not your average RV Park......What a lovely hidden gem. Cannot believe I didn’t know about this place. Close to home for a quick getaway that has a whole Up North feeling.Lots of trees ❤️❤️❤️A lovely heated pool and it was quiet. I HATE rowdy campgrounds and sometimes it’s hard to find a campground that’s not a state park to enforce quiet time. The bath houses are super clean!!I cannot wait to come again ❤️My only complaint: They should figure out something with the fire wood. $5 a bundle gets pricey when you’re there for 5 days!! But it’s good wood that burns nicely.Tons and tons of butterflies and dragon flies. 😍❤️

Really enjoyed Our 3 night stay at Apple Creek this weekend. We got ourselves into a bit of a bind when we realized we had left our tent poles at home. Just as we were figuring out if we should run back home or buy a new tent, Ivan came by with a spare tent and completely saved our weekend!! The staff here was really friendly all weekend and even to our steady rotation of guests. Bathrooms were clean, pool was nice to cool off in, general store had everything we needed, campsites were really spacious too. Quick drive into town for a beer run or a bite. And there’s a swimming beach a couple of miles down the road. We will definitely be back!!
