The Veterinary oath:“Being admitted to the profession of veterinary medicine, I solemnly swear to use my scientific knowledge and skills for the benefit of society through the protection of animal health and welfare, the prevention and relief of animal suffering, the conservation of animal resources, the promotion of public health, and the advancement of medical knowledge.I will practice my profession conscientiously, with dignity, and in keeping with the principles of veterinary medical ethics.I accept as a lifelong obligation the continual improvement of my professional knowledge and competence.”Dr. Harrison refused to prescribe medicine to our dog because we sought a second opinion from another Vet in the area. We sought a second opinion because Dr. Harrison was treating our dog for allergies, but up he had not figured out the cause. We were not upset about this and trusted his care and that we would eventually get to the root cause. He refused prescribing medicine to my fog, that he had prescribed in the past, because we sought a second opinion. By letting his ego get in the way of his first responsibility, taking care of animals first, he broke several of the tenants of the Vet Oath as stated above. What kind of sick individual would do this? Since when is seeking another opinion from another medical professional reason to stop caring for an animal. I will be reporting him to the Michigan Vet Board as well as the American Vet Board. Dr. Harrison obviously has some personality issues that prevent him from honoring his oath, his profession, or in the care of animals.

While Dr. Harrison is a wonderful vet, I wonder if their secondary vet (I don't recall her name) even knows what she doing. The women at the front desk were also terrible and rude. We've been coming here for 8 years with Dr. Harrison, but with the way we were recently treated by his staff, we won't be coming back.

Dr Harrison is one of the best vets I've ever used! He's kind, soft spoken, and makes both the furbaby and owner at ease. He takes the time to thoroughly examine the animal, talk with the owner, and discuss all available options your furbaby may need. I can't imagine going anywhere else!

Been going there for 8 years, and Zoey and I have been treated very well. Very recently I added to our family with a new puppy. As you know a new pup come with new issues such as fleas and worms. I didn’t personally get a chance to take my puppy there for his first visit, but my wife and son did. They must have a new vet in the building because all he received was a distemper shot and a deworming that kills only round worms and hooks. He wouldn’t even have gotten that if my wife didn’t have to tell them he had worms when it was clearly on the sample. Won’t see me again, or at least until the company changes hands.
