The staff was very friendly and helpful. The wines were very nice and the charcuterie board was very good.

I'm indifferent. I've been to a ton of wineries up here, including California, in the last few years. This is my first time visiting 45 because it was recommended by an acquaintance. The hostess was nice, we move into the inside, Saturday about 230pm. It was busy, but not packed. We weren't acknowledged or instructed much. Lines were confusing. We went up to the front when it was somewhat cleared. A young looking girl with brown hair was very rude. We said we were there for some tasting and she said "oh well you need to fill this out first, and then I can help you." And rolled her eyes. So we quickly filled it out cuz we were waiting before then and already knew what we wanted. Then she took our papers, I think we paid? And that was that. It was a very rude process. Her attitude and tone. Looked like she hated her job and didn't want to be there. This is first impression. The wine was okay, nothing special. I'm not impressed. Probably won't be back tbh. Get better staff with a clear vision on how to communicate and instruct customers. Confusing, rude, and off putting.

Wonderful experience! Ask for Alanna. She can tell you all you need to know and taste! I loved the modern cowboy decor and intimate atmosphere. Beautiful lush views and pretty grounds to walk. I personally loved the Pinot Blanc (less sweet and a little dry) and the Pinot slushy(summer in a glass)!!!

This was our second visit. The first about 10 years ago. I read some not so great reviews which surprised me since we remember liking it. I’m glad we came back. The wines are some of the best in the area. The sparkling was our favorite and Skin Ferment Riesling surprised us! Highly recommend.

We chose, in part, to get married at 45N, because we’ve never had a bad wine there. Also, it’s absolutely beautiful. The staff at 45N was so helpful through the planning and the day itself, especially Kate. We couldn’t be happier to celebrate at 45N.

Beautiful renovated space! This winery is awesome. They also offer ciders - which my husband enjoyed. We didn't expect to walk into such a pretty, rustic and classy area. There are large chalkboards hanging behind the bar with featured drinks and the staff knew so much about what was offered. There is even a second floor and a sitting area with a fireplace. They had great customer service and were able to keep up with our large group. The drinks offered here are unique and delicious. I have to say, my personal two favorites are the 45 White and the Sparkling Strawberry wine. The 45 White is the perfect white wine - clean, crisp topped with the essence of fruit! The Sparkling Strawberry is just as you would expect but just enough strawberry flavor that it doesn't overwhelm. The selections are a little more expensive than other wineries we visited, but they are well worth the extra few dollars per bottle.

Compared to other wineries, this was mediocre. The staff weren’t as sociable and at one point one of the waiters forgot to come back to us with an answer to a question about food. Mistakes happen, just wasn’t thoroughly impressed overall. Got a little queasy from some hummus here so I stopped eating it, but my friend enjoyed it.

Let me start by saying that this place is very nice. It was my first time here with my wife and the weather out was nasty. We were shocked to see that this place had ice cream. Besides that the wine was ok but this being my fourth stop most of the wine at that point started tasting the same. Next visit I'll have to make it my first to betting rate the place. Cheers

Friendly staff and waitress. The small plates we had were great. Recommend the Peppadew Cheese Dip and Spring Rolls.

Good atmosphere, had a food truck with tasty food outside, but I was underwhelmed by their wine choices. They supposedly have ciders, it's even on their glasses, but there was not any Cider available. The wines we tasted were ok, but nothing was good enough for me to want to make a purchase of any bottles. The staff were friendly, they had a lot of seating and a spot up top that can be rented out. Indoor and outdoor seating was available.

The well done website intrigued our visiting families and the delightful setting with a warm fire welcomed us in; however, this was not a family friendly winery. We had read most in Michigan are but the staff from the time we stepped in appeared disengaged. We felt uncomfortable and unwelcome with our children.

An amazing choice of wines, fun atmosphere, knowledgeable staff. Enjoyed a comfortable outdoor heated and very relaxing setting to enjoy our wine and charcuterie selections.

Super cute. Wide variety of wines. 3 samples for $15 and 5 for $25. Perfect place to make a stop.

Honestly the WORST customer service our whole trip. The girl taking orders today at the bar was incredibly rude to us and even rolling her eyes. This review may have been 4 stars overall but because of her and some other staff members it’s a 2.Everywhere this weekend is busy but that does not mean you can rude to people.

I came here this past week and enjoyed sitting outside in the peaceful outdoors the first time, while enjoying a delicious Eggs Benny from Fried - the food truck parked out front. Ryan & Matt were welcoming, friendly, and great chefs! Skip the food inside - try out the fresh and locally sourced food from Fried! We placed bocce which was fun, while enjoying a flight and a glass of their Peach wine, which two employees joked about how it's "not really wine, just some stuff with peaches in a glass." How inappropriate of these employees (one male with long blonde hair and Sarah). Fried, the food truck, my company, and the atmosphere outside is why there are stars on this review. I also really enjoyed my Peach wine and purchased a bottle, regardless of the comments made by staff. Sarah on the other hand, was neither bubbly or friendly the two times we were here this past week. She was inappropriate, rude, and had a very "I don't care to be here" attitude. When I asked a woman with glasses and short hair a question, and she was unsure, and we turned to Sarah, Sarah snapped back with an impolite answer. It's no wonder this place was not lively on either day, because I didn't want to communicate with Sarah either - stayed away and communicated with other employees. Aside from this rude person, I think it's important to support families and their local business - growing grapes and everything that comes with it, is hard work! Kudos to the Grossnickle Family!

This winery has a rustic feel to it. The property is beautiful and there is outside dining space. The tastings were small but the wine was very good. Lots of merchandise available as well.

It wasn’t very good. All the wines tasted watered down and to add on to the other commenters the service was very poor. Wouldn’t recommend nor revisit.

Came in with a group of 10. The young lady seating us was very kind and professional.... stated we could sit over in a shaded area or we could go upstairs in loft.....we chose to go inside to the loft....from there it was all downhill! They made us feel very unwelcome and were less than friendly as they were bringing our flights.Would not recommend!!!

The wine was wine. The meat and cheese board were good. Good atmosphere. Red velvet hot chocolate tasked like an old Hersey bar that was told to pretend to be cherry flavored was boiled in nail polish remover. Root beer was alright, light on vanilla and pepper.

Challenging, beautiful, not always groomed. Rewarded with soup and 🍷 at end of workout. Really nice Winery. I want to hang out with people who hang out there!

45 North is now on our list of favorites in the area! The wine was good with a variety of both sweet and dry. If you like sweet wines, cherries, and chocolate then you have to try their Northport dessert wine. Some drinks like that end up tasting like cough syrup, but not this guy! Smooth, rich, and just the right amount of sweet. A great middle of the road between sweet(me) and dry(my wife) is the Red Barn Red.

Wide variety of tasty wines from dry to sweet. Great atmosphere with tasting room and deck tucked into a forest-like setting. Engaging and knowledgeable staff make for an enjoyable visit. ( the 45 Red dry blend was a favorite )

Ben took amazing care of us. So personable and kind. They ate short staffed, but the attention felt like they weren't. I cannot recommend this winery enough. The tastings are 4 Oz pours, and that's a lot. The charcuterie board was a yummy lunch. We have been before and will be back every trip to, "up north."The high ceilings, gorgeous bar and personable and knowledgeable staff is kind and is great at anticipation. You need to visit.Thank you, Ben

Another one of my favorites in the area. Beautiful area and great wine choices. They're the only place I have been to that offers Skin Ferment Wine and my boyfriend absolutely loves the Skin Ferment Riesling. It's a unique flavor but, like I said, not many places offer it so had to try it. Their 45 White is my absolute favorite wine. So crisp with citrus and apple notes; it's so good. Staff is always super friendly and helpful as well.

Atmosphere is great with horse saddle bar stools and a cozy couch in front of a fireplace. Solid wines and ciders.

I absolutely loved our experience at this winery! It is beautiful. The wine is delicious and the staff were so friendly! The Peach Crement wine is my favorite but they are all great. If traveling anywhere in the vicinity it should be on the top of your lists for wineries.

45 North was our last stop in our tour of wineries in the area and they were great. I love the more casual feel and it reminded me of micro breweries in its design and atmosphere. The Peach Sparkling wine deserves all its gold medals. I don't even care for peach and that was one of the most delicious wines I tried during my trip. The strawberry and Riesling are also great!.
