Friendly staff always smile and are super helpful, far above average for your typical Dollar General location. I'm assuming they have great management.Store looks like any other typical location. rotainers on the way and in the process of being unpacked and stocked.They seem to have like others in the chain a variety of items, look for "dot" sales going on which are easily identified by different colors for the best savings. I've been told the mobile app has some great coupons as well although have not confirmed this.

Being a local and shopping at dollar general every single day. My husband and I went up to grab a box (not in the dumpster) and we always ask first. The manager came out with her phone (on the clock) recording us being so rude saying it's private property and talking to us like we were criminals. I understand her job and stuff but there was NO reason for her to be so rude about it. Like unbelievably rude. She could of came out and said just come in and ask for a box next time. But no. Never had an issue before and I've been going here for over 5 years. If you can't be kind do NOT have a job that you have to deal with people. Sharon maybe was her name. Not positive. Also, when we called up to the store to get the district managers name and number we were hung up on TWO times.

Clean Store, friendly employees. The NEW remodel added more food products, produce, home decor & health & beauty aids. Check out is a little congested BUT the store is only so big. Happy Shopping!!!!

I do come in this ( the Lake George store ) store for emergencies only. I feel because of them 1 party store went out of business and how long before the other store goes under ?

Thanks from the heart, Dollar General staff and store in tiny Lake George. We spent the past six months “up north” at the cabin in the woods to feel safer from the crowding of a three generation household in Lansing. I used this store as often as I could for much of our food and basic needs, and even when the shelves had plenty of empty space, I ALWAYS found what I needed, if not what I wanted. Top notch service and kindness and cleanliness, as well as the greatest “stay safe” experience. Good people.

I will never shop at Dollar general again. They refused to serve me because I was not wearing a face mask, even when I stated for medical reasons I can not cover my face. The cashier then persist to ask me my medical history. Never again will I shop at another dollar general again.

I really like Dollar general because they have reasonable prices most of the time the staff is very friendly depending on which one you go to the one in Farwell in the one in lake George both have exceptionally friendly staff!
