They are Great!! We adopted our little Blue eyed dog, Jeff! They had him ready for us to see him, they gave us paperwork for when he needs more shots, etc... He got 2 small bags of treats. 😀❤️❤️❤️ Jeff just loves people, kids, other dogs, but not crazy about bigger dogs! If he and our cat would get along with each other, things would be perfect with Jeff! He's such a great boy!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️

Very clean, and absolutely No Animal smells when I walked into build. I was amazed at the cleanliness, even for all the Pet's! The Staff was very knowledgeable and helpful, answering all the questions I asked. They provided me with the perfect all grey Kitten, that was a Christmas gift for my husband, that the family had been looking for month's to find, from our Handicapped daughter! Assh was fixed, had first set of Shots, Chipped and bathed. She smelled wonderful as we fell head over heels for her. The friendliness of the staff, truly helped make me comfortable upon entering, and since we haven't had a Kitten in year's, their expertise was greatly appreciated! I definitely would recommend this Animal Shelter for those who are looking for that perfect companion!

Staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the many animals in their care. We adopted Buddy a 4 month old beagle/bassett hound mix. Super cute and socialized. We can also see their visiting veterinarian for future vaccines, etc. Super convenient and reasonably priced. We would encourage to others to consider adoption.

My 5 month old puppy had the best experience here! I took him and my other dog down towards the boat launch in Lake City a place I have always taken my dogs since I spend a lot of my summers at my cabin. My puppy found his way to a dead fish with a forked tail hook still attached to it. He had at least 6 hooks through this tongue, gums and lip. We rushed him to the humane society since there are not many places around and when we got their the employees were leaving for the day but turned right around to take care of my sweet pup! They did an excellent job getting the hooks out and it was also cheap! I am very grateful to know such great people are taking care of animals!

We had a great experience getting our rescue German shepherd spayed here. They make it affordable and give you pain medication to take home which most veterinarians charge extra for. The incision healed nicely and she was back to her usual spunky self the next day. They also followed up with a call a few days later to answer any questions and see how she was doing. I would recommend Missaukee Humane Society to anyone who needs to fix their pet but doesn’t want to pay high veterinary prices. They are a caring group of people.

We’re so thankful for Missaukee for bringing little Atlas into our lives. The facility they run is so clean and smells great. Truly impressed at the operation. It was great getting to sit in the cat room and play with all the kittens and ultimately bring him home with us. They made the process super simple and we were in and out in an hour.

They are the BEST. We have adopted before at a different local shelter and were given such the runaround. We have had great luck and experiences with this organization and look to fully support them as they have us. We adopted a great animal from the floods of Houston and she's turned out to be a beautiful animal. Thanks again for your support.

We’ve adopted two kitties from MHS, and just took our kitty that adopted us to MHS to be neutered. It’s super affordable, and staff are fantastic to work with! We also had him microchipped and vaccinated while he was there. They take wonderful care of our furry family members and we can’t say enough good things about them.

Had my dogs' photo taken with Santa recently! I have been here several times.I helped a friend adopt from here. The puppy ended up being an amazing dog for her and her family.The people are caring. I have had my animals chipped through them and they have been in their Novelty Dog Shows over the 4th of July week. They are always so much fun.My cousin has had her puppy fixed here for a low fee.

They only have such low prices because of their low/discount service! They WAAAY overbook, take your deposit and then when you get there they make up a reason as to why they can't see you, but they're keeping the deposit...? Sounds like crooks to me. They can rationalize however they'd like, but the take away is another "doctor" who overbooks/triple schedules patients and your animal(s) WILL NOT get the care they deserve. They'll barely get what you paid for! Garbage place!

We adopted our little dog Newman. They recieved him from a kill shelter in Texas. And I could tell they care about animals. I would highly recommend them for anyone who wants to adopt a pet.

They lie, let me elaborate…They told us about a dog that had been in the shelter the longest and how he was so sweet. They were right on that part, he is the sweetest dog in the world.They failed to mention how he has bathroom issues… no amount of training can get this dog to stop going potty in the house. He goes out over 10 times a day and right before bed, we have a kennel for him too, to try to reduce his chances of going potty but he goes potty in this kennel and lays in it.They also told us this dog knew a few tricks, he does not know anything except for sit… they specifically said he knew how to shake (not a big deal but they already lied about a few things so this adds to the pile).So what I’ve learned is that they lie about pets to get them adopted… will not ever get a pet from this shelter or probably any shelter now… they ruined that experience for me.

There are some amazing folks working here helping dogs and cats find new homes. We got a set of brothers from them, and the pups are both in good health and thriving.The dogs were neutered, with vet checks and all shots up to date. They even gave them both a fresh bath before we picked them up. The dogs in general were all happy here compared to some places we visited, they treat their animals with care and it shows.I highly recommend rescuing a dog from here before paying 5x as much from private breeders.

I got my first cat from here a year and a half ago and he has become the best and biggest part of my life. They are very kind and understanding and they give you plenty of alone time with the animals to see if you connect. It was a very special experience that I will forever hold dearly. They had him up to date on vaccinations and meds a week before pickup!

We rescued our little puppy from another shelter that I work at and needed to get her spayed. I did some searching and found this humane society. They were amazing I would highly recommend them! Our Alaska slipped her collar upon arrival and they helped my husband capture her. She got fixed and came home with all the necessary meds (included in price which most places were charging extra for) they also called a couple times to check up on her. Sorry I haven’t been able to return the calls my shelter is open the same times you are. She’s doing great though already back to normal! I’m very impressed with this place and will definitely be recommending to everyone I know. I really like this team of people and they do awesome work keep it up! Thank you for everything you guys do and for keeping the prices low!

This place is amazing! Everyone is so nice and you can tell they really care about the animals. We got our first dog from here in 2016 and we were told she came from the Clair animal shelter and they were going to put her down. We just got our new dog (jack russell) here this last year! So sweet and honest. Easy to see the dogs online and easy to fill out the application online too! You guys are amazing, thank you for doing what you do!

Had my older dog pass away from medical issues and ended up coming here to look at a couple different dogs. Ended up falling in love with two that we took home. Staff was friendly and helpful. Really like that the dogs were fixed and up to date on shots as my vets have been really busy, so didn't have to worry about things till I could get them in. Would recommend if looking for a new family member.

Small shelter with a huge heart. They treat their animals as if they are their personal pets. Very hands on and wanting the best for the animals. Strongly would recommend them. We now have had Dusty for over a year and he is a lovely family member. We drove from metro Detroit area and happy we did. Love the smaller shelters and personal attention the staff brings.

The lady was very nice. They offer a certain discount on getting dogs fixed for ppl on set incomes. The donated food to my family when the were in need. Absolutely caring. Stop and get a future pet. Or pet and visit the animals. Ev1 loves love
