The guys are really helpful and knowledgeable. I really appreciate them and everything that they do! I needed screws for my daughters license plate. The man helping me didn’t just have me try different ones, he went to the car and tried different ones until he found the ones that fit. Great customer service!!

Just moved to the area. Built our home so lots of projects to do. Soon discovered I could go to Leonard's instead of driving all the way to Home Depot for a lot of things.They even have farm fresh eggs for sale and complimentary donuts and coffee!

They go out of their way to be helpful. During the pandemic they delivered salt for my water softener. Even after being vaccinated, when my car wouldn't start, they did it again. They have pet-proof screening and it is very inexpensive to replace regular screening with that.

They have helped me out with parts many times. A little bit more expensive than Home Depot but who wants to drive into Okemos to save a little bit of change. Jim is one of the most knowledgeable people you will find and again who wants to have to drive to Okemos and try to figure it out on your own?

Surprisingly well stocked and they actually have knowledgable staff. Having worked for a real hardware store back in the day, Leonard's is an authentic throwback to the time when you could expect truly professional service in retail hardware. The staff at Leonard's actually speaks the language of the trade so you don't have to dumb down what you ask for in order to help young Beavis find the screwy thingadoodles that connect the yellow metal tube to the shiny handle water gizmo.They are open longer and more often than one might expect, which is much appreciated when you need something quick to solve a problem.They offer a range of services such as screen repair, lock service, saw sharpening, propane tank fills, etc. That are often missing from big box stores.Having a full service hardware is an underappreciated enabler that makes a small town work. Along with the grocery, Leonard's is the modern equivalent of the old general store and is an integral part of keeping our community up and running. No, I don't work there, but I would encourage anyone needing miscellaneous items to support our local hardware when you can.

Leonards Hardware has quality tools, plumbing supplies (including water softeners), electrical supplies, generators, light bulbs, light fixtures, products to maintain motors and engines, batteries, finishes, steam cleaning rental, and very helpful employees. They will order products for you if what you need is not in stock.
