I will never trust Brookside for any futureK9 medical care. They are sloppy and care little about their patients. My dog Jet had been sick for 3 days, we attempted to let him get better on his own and he did not. We then contacted Brookside Friday afternoon and they said they closed early on Friday and could not get Jet in. They said to take him to a vet cadillac, they charged over 400 dollars and failed to correct the problem. Jet ended up at Bay Area pet hospital and was admitted overnight to manage his pain and administer medication. He could of quite possibly lost his life and Brookside pawned us off onto someone else because it was a Friday. I will never use Brookside Vet services in Kingsley again. Do NOT take your loved animals to Brookside!

Tanya the receptionist is uncaring, unkind, rude, no customer sevice skills whatsoever. This person Shouldn't be caring for animals in any capacity. Very unhappy after 16 years lost my business.

My cat started to have problems breathing so I called Brookside and they got her right in. Unfortunately I had to put her down because she had congestive heart failure and she was to far gone to save. They really helped me while I said my final goodbyes

The staff and doctor is amazing. They are so efficient. My daughter and I brought our Australian Shepherds in. They answered our questions, did the exam, gave them their shots and gave us our paperwork in less than 20 minutes. We never even sat down in the waiting room. The assistant put us in a room right away and we were early. I highly recommend them. Just awesome!!!

Dr. Chris Bruning and her staff are wonderful. They obviously care about the animals, and I trust them to do whatever is needed for our pets’ wellbeing. They are also sensitive to the needs of the humans too. We’re fortunate to have them in our community.

Bad attitudes and the handle your dog in the most abrupt way. And when you approach the doctor and complain about it, she will stick up for the receptionist. We are on our way back right now to get our dog from a dental visit he was supposed to have. But when I called them and complained about it, she said well, we’re not gonna be able to take care of your dog come and get him. So they washed their hands of me. This place is absolutely terrible. They will also get appointments mixed up and times. It’s like they’re smoking too much pot. Don’t go to them!!!

They said they wouldn't do a Spay on my dog until she was 8 - 12 months old, now that the time has come, she's in heat. I called to make an appointment and was told that since I am no longer in their system (haven't had a pet in about 10 years) that they won't schedule her in. Waste of my time. I used to love this Vet Clinic. Very disappointing.

Staff was great - so nice and helpful with all questions. Prices were unbeatable and they didn't overcharge for things. They were also willing to take my other animals on as patients as well! Would highly recommend Brookside Vet!!!

We took our English bulldog in for entropian surgery on her lower eye lids a couple weeks ago. Everyone was very helpful and kind and took great care of our girl! She is looking great now is much happier!

Taken both of our cats there now. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We gladly drive the 45 minutes to them. There prices are very fair, and they help out those in need with a fund. We always try and give a little extra to help out

We happen to live walking distance away from the clinic. Our dog is NOT good at the vet, but they accommodate and make it work for us. Always very nice, caring, and helpful. Love that they have long Thursday’s so we can pic up routine meds after work, or schedule appointments without leaving work early. Thanks for everything!

We have always had a great expierence with Dr. Chris and her staff. Highly recommend taking your pets her. We recently chose to make the drive with our recent addition of our puppy. In the past it was a much closer drive, but the knowledge of a vet and staff that truly care for your fur babies.

I’ve been taking my dog to Brookside for several years now. From blood work to his vaccines! He was an established patient.Soooo....Took my my dog to Brookside to have them check out his paws. They were super inflamed, bright red and he was limping. I was very concerned that he might have cancer because there were growths in between his paw pads. The doctor eventually came in and took one look at him and just told me that they were just irritated because he had been licking them. I felt defeated for my dog because I could tell that he was in a lot of pain! He was literally limping. Clearly there was something going on and she just dismissed me for my concerns!! On top of that she was rude in saying he needs a teeth cleaning and that she would surgically remove the one lump on his front paw during the cleaning! I didn’t take him there for that matter! I was just concerned for the pain he was in!!!After returning home I called Grand Traverse Vetrenary hospital for an urgent appointment. They got us in the next Monday. I needed to get my boy a second Opinion for sure! GTV was amazing! They gave a hefty antibiotic, pain meds, a solution to clean his paws after bringing him in from outside. They treated us like family! His paws are now starting to heal! And they actually charged me less than Brookside vet and treated his conditions urgently!!!I will never go back to Brookside again! As of now my boy has a new primary vet provider! And that is GTV right on Veterans drive. Less than 5 minutes from my home!

We were in Traverse City for a vacation when my daughter's 10 month old Golden retriever pup developed a quick growing lump in her neck. I called every vet I could find and they were old closed. Brookside not only answered, they saw her within 2 hours of us contacting them. When we arrived they quickly got us into an exam room and looked at her neck. They took some fluid and smeared it and concluded that it was a reaction to a spider bit or bee sting. Gave her antibiotics and steriods and clear directions how to give the medication and symptoms to look out for. They were so sweet with both the pup and my daughter and made sure that all her questions and concerns were answered. I HIGHLY recommend Brookside, if we didn't live 14 hours away we would become a patient in a heartbeat!! Thank you to everyone at Brookside for everything you did for us!!

Excellent vet. It was time to put my beagle down recently and they had me an appointment quickly. He was cremated and they took care of everything for me and called when it was time to pick up his ashes. It was a really sad day for me and I thank god that they were there to help me through it. Had a older sweet kitten of ours that has been having trouble with weight loss and loose bowels. We were able to get her in and taken care of. What a relief! Dr. Bruning and her Tech were both amazing!

AMAZINGI live in Traverse City. TC vets can get quite pricey. I decided to try Dr. Bruning. Not only is the price reasonable but the service and knowledge is fantastic. The entire staff is great. I needed a medication they did not carry and Dr. Bruning got on the phone with me and ordered the medication I requested. Thank you so much for your pricing and your service.

These guys are awesome!! They are a wonderful, caring and compassionate group !! They have ALWAYS been able to get my fur 🐕 babies in ANYTIME an emergency arose. Love these guys!
