Normally we shop at Walgreens on west main due to being closer to home and we are REGULAR shoppers. well we happen to be on this side of town and wanted to stop and get drinks and snacks, so we decided to stop at this one. Not even 1 min of browsing and being in the store the lady at the register yells at my friend that she “needs to keep her backpack up front” 1. It’s not even a backpack, it’s a larger purse in the shape of a tiny backpack. 2. She has ALL of her personal belongings in there including her wallet, phone, keys, etc. we don’t know the lady’s that work up there. They could’ve easily gone through her stuff, hentz as to why we don’t feel comfortable leaving our things in my car because my car has been broken into before. Needless to say I told the lady that she wil not be putting anything up front as that is her purse and that’s like asking to leave her purse up front. Excuse me like what? Absolutely not. I don’t feel where they felt they had the right to even say that, and my friend is also black I might add. They also continued to follow us around so I said get your drinks and we will take our money elsewhere. So we drove all the way to the other side of town to our normal Walgreens. And we will continue to spend our money here. Get your crew in check.

This store is a mess. The parking lot is often not lit at night. The drive up window for prescriptions has not been open for three months. There is a sign on it that reads: technical difficulties. The store is dirty and I feel unsafe and will no longer go there even though it is less than six blocks from my home.

We have had problems getting our prescriptions filled in a timely manner, but this last problem will be our last fill with this location. Our daughter is on a medication that cannot be abruptly stopped. Due to the medication class, we have to turn in a new prescription each month. This month, they could only fill 19 out of the 30 capsules and said they were ordering more. Getting to the point where we needed more, asked for the rest of the refill (in the app it said we could request the remainder). After I submitted the refill, it shortly changed to 0 refills. We called the pediatrician and explained the situation and they sent a new prescription. They then said the medication was out of stock and would be ordered. At that time I explained to the pharmacist we only had a few days left. She guaranteed the medicine was ordered. Follow up the next day when it lists in the app that insurance is verifying. This happens all the time. The tech always says "oh, we just forgot to override". At that time, guaranteed again by the same pharmacist that the order was in. This morning I call because is still reads out of stock. The tech states it has been ordered and should be in the next day. This is now my daughter's second day without the medication. I call tonight because the app now reads pharmacist review thinking it had come in. Caleb answered my call and was very apologetic and helpful, but the situation is it wasn't ordered until this morning because "it shouldn't be listed as out of stock on a class II medication. The tech caught it and changed it to the correct code this am". Well, not accurate, she caught it when I called AGAIN to inquire, but assured me it was already ordered. Did not tell me she was just now ordering. Then per Caleb, the pharmacy has had 10 pills from a different manufacturer all week. My daughter is facing potential withdraw symptoms for no reason. I asked Caleb to initiate proper follow up to determine what occurred in this instance. I realize that mistakes happen, but this was negligence. We will be transferring prescriptions to another pharmacy.

Not sure what all the negative reviews are for. I live close by and stop in to this Walgreens at least twice a week, and I've never had a bad experience. Everyone who works there is very friendly and almost everyone recognizes me as a regular customer. I've also had a few cashiers go out of their way to save me money. Of course prices are pretty high here, but that's standard as far as a Walgreens is concerned. I've never had any problems at the Pharmacy counter either - sometimes there's a bit of a wait, but that can happen anywhere.

run by chicken heads , no one in the store was even out of hs. placed an online order, waited an hour and a half before calling for updates. claimed they were "short staffed" lol just short brained. ONE item in my order was unavailable, so i asked to cancel the one item , Andrea said she would cancel just the one item, then disappeared, came back with an attitude and said "i cancelled your order IS THERE SOMETHING YOU NEED??"its not a hard job to do, if you have a problem doing it, quit...

I went to fill a prescription at Walgreens yesterday. Due to issues with my insurance, I had to pay out of pocket for this particular medication. I was quoted $180.00 at Walgreens Pharmacy. I called another pharmacy, (a non-Walgreens pharmacy), where I ended up paying only $16.00 for the EXACT SAME PRESCRIPTION! Beware of price gouging at Walgreens Pharmacy! Always shop around if you are paying cash for prescriptions!

This pharmacy always takes forever. By the time I got to the window my youngest child had graduated high school. All of those memories I could have had... stolen forever. The pharmacist also told me today that the messages about my prescription being ready are automated, and that the signs in the store indicate that they are on lunch from 1:30-2pm everyday. Well I'm sorry my doctor didn't prescribe me pills that give me psychic abilities... and if he had I’d be screwed right now wouldn’t I?

Absolutely worst customer service here and the workers don’t understand their own policies. If you can avoid this Walgreens, I definitely recommend it. I’ve never had any trouble with any Walgreens in Kalamazoo/portage area like I have at this place.

Walgreens pharmacy system will change your controlled substance prescription to a save a trip partial refill. When you go back for the rest of that prescription, you get excuses and apologies but no refill. They used to be good but now are horrible. Just a couple of months ago I couldn’t get the same script filled because of an “unforeseen circumstance “ whatever that means. I’m switching to another pharmacy!

I have been a long time walgreens customer. I moved a few years ago and switched to this walgreens and have had nothing but trouble. I have a hard time filling prescriptions EVERY. SINGLE. TIME! Not sure how this this happens so consistently. If they have a problem with insurance, or your provider, or even being out of stock, they do not notify you. this is completely frustrating especially when you recently have been to the ER for an issue and when you go to pick up your prescription which you dropped off and they first tell you your insurance doesn't cover it. But wait.... yes it does. Then OH! They are out of stock and can get it for you tomorrow! Super frustrating and now I'm searching for a new pharmacy. Two stars only because the staff is friendly.

Avoid the pharmacy. I had my sick 4 year old with me, so I was trying to be a responsible human and not take her inside and expose the public. After waiting 15 minutes in the drive thru for one car ahead of me, it was finally our turn. The pharmacy employee apologized but said my scrip wasn't actually ready- they were behind. She said I needed to come inside and wait another 15 minutes while they filled it. After waiting inside for 15 minutes it was finally ready. There were only 2 techs and one pharmacist working the counter and drive thru. Grossly understaffed for the amount of traffic coming through. When we got home, I carefully measured my daughter's first dose of medicine and realized that there wasn't nearly enough in the bottle for the full 5 days as prescribed. The tech who prepared the liquid medicine had only given us half of the prescribed amount. I called and spoke with the tech who was helping us. She insisted that she put the right amount in the bottle. I told her I was looking at the bottle and there was no way it was the full amount. She asked if the medicine leaked into the bag....no, ma'am....the medicine did not leak into the bag. After minutes of back and forth and no apology, she asked me to drive back and show her. It was 9pm and my daughter was exhausted so I told her no. I asked her to correct her mistake and that I would be back to get the rest of the prescription tomorrow. Terrible service from overworked and probably underpaid staff. Mis-measuring medication is a pretty big problem and I wonder how many other mistakes have been made at this pharmacy. I will be driving the extra few miles to get my scripts filled at Meijer from now on. This Walgreens needs some help.

A bathroom is a decent and basic amenity for your customers. Putting a lock on the bathrooms might make things slightly more convenient for your employeees, but it’s a severe annoyance to customers.

Whoever is in charge of the inventory of the pharmacy should be fired. This is the fourth time they have been out of my script and can't get I in until the middle of the next week. I'm assuming it's because they didn't realize it until it was needed. If you have a monthly prescription you need don't choose this pharmacy. That was my last visit to that pharmacy and I'm a very lenient individual.

I have been using this pharmacy for years, yet lately I've been receiving the worst customer service. The wait is always long and the employees are not helpful at all. I would suggest trying a locally owned pharmacy, much better service and actually friendly and helpful. Imagine that!

Prices online are good. The prices at the store are 150% more than listed online/ in app. Download the app, purchase ahead of time, then pick it up to avoid getting ripped off. Better yet, just go somewhere else and forget about jumping through hoops!

When I found out that the photos I received were not in the dimensions I had asked and paid for, the manager, Tom, had them re-printed out in the correct dimensions and doubled up in number, and delivered to my place straight away with a smile, all free of charge, even though I wasn't a regular customer. I highly recommend this store.

The worst customer service experience I've ever had. The store manager Lee was completely disconnected and could care less about trying to help me. He kept telling me that he didn't care about my issue that he wasn't going to help me. It was store policy.
