I prefer this to other home improvement stores. It's more well lit and easier to find things. Always very clean and well maintained store. Staff is friendly and helpful. They have everything you need for a whole house and then nearly everything to fill it. Prices can't be beat.

Went shopping for more things for our remodel. Had a huge hard to push cart with two toilets on it and some odds and ends. I got in barbs aisle. She never smiled. Said push it forward. I was trying, I'm kinda joking about how hard it was to steer. Just rude. My husband got the cart and I had to say have a nice day, because she said NOTHING. Not the way to treat customers.

Not only did I spend more money by going here instead of Home Depot, and driving from Battle Creek, service was crappy during checkout. The cashier was snippy and treated me like an inconvenience after doing her job for her. She couldn’t even say have a nice day. It should be no surprise to people like her with those attitudes when they’re replaced by AI and people like me are just glad to see their attitude go bye-bye. It’ll be a win-win situation for Menards and for me because then I won’t feel frustrated when I have to do my own price checks for the teller and Menards won’t have to pay an hourly employee, And since I’m already bagging my own groceries, it really won’t be that big of a transition for everyone. Until then, Lowes or Home Depot can get my money. Save big money at My nard’s.

Just went in to purchase an axe. I had a sales associate show me where the axes were located. Picked out two different ones with him and price checked the one that was not labeled with a price “with the sales associate” and went with the cheaper one. When I got to the register the item rang up for over triple the amount displayed. I took pictures of where I located the item and showed them. Their associate is my witness to the price that was displayed. The store did not want to honor the price displayed for the axe. The error is definitely not my own. Definitely just wasted over an hour of my time. Extremely disappointed with the manager’s inability to handle the situation. I clearly stated the Michigan law that was put in place to protect consumers from businesses that participate in this type of behavior. I wonder how often this happens. I will take my business elsewhere from now on. When companies do this type of illegal pricing the consumer has to be compensated according to Michigan legislation. Highly disappointed in Menards I really used to enjoy this store.

We always find what we need and I love our refund program. The lady on the last picture was not very helpful. I assume that she was training the gentleman, but as he was helping another person she just stood there without saying a word and didn't even greet us, she was busy just looking around doing nothing while we waited, and waited.

This store is a joke with poorly trained employees and prices extremely high. Their fake rebate is a scam and their prices are worse then most lumber yards and hardware tool stores. They sell extremely cheap tools that don’t last and are made by China. Do not shop here for any reason.

Had to get a shelving bracket, old one had a sticker from here. And again there wa xxx no help to be found. Stop in looking for a pair of needle nose pilers. They are overpriced but made in USA.Found a 50 ft extension cord made in USA. Got it. But the check out line was terrible.

Was okay but they really should have people who are at least partially knowledgeable in all areas on Sunday afternoon.....we weren't able to fond anyone who knew anything about the connectors we needed. Other than that it was pretty good.

Employees need more training. Took me FOUR different Employees until 1 person could help me. 2 Employees were very helpful the other 2 seem to be annoyed that I bothered them. Training here is a must. Please have employees, show people were the products are NOT JUST POINT in the general direction. When said item isn't there then go beyond and still help people find what they need, not just, O well, don't have any. That's rude. Only 1 employee did this for me. The only reason I'll now go back and gave 3 star's instead of ZERO..... Training issues.

Drove over an hour to pick up an order that we paid for online. We confirmed that it was ready. Got to the store and they had sold it to someone else despite us having paid for it already. Assistant store manager was rude, disrespectful and not at all helpful. Will never use this location again. Horrible customer service experience.

I was a manager with Menards for years, eventually working up to managing 2-dozen people and working at 4 different stores, traveling for new store setups, and even visiting corporate office in Wisconsin. I am a professional, and try to do well by my team.After clocking in one morning, I found a heavy duty ~9' tall ladder my team used to go up and down had a broken weld. This broken *weld joint* was "repaired" by using... a nut and bolt. This would have killed someone on my team. I filed a complaint with upper management and HR (mentioning OSHA regulations, apparently a mistake) that I received attitude about, and the next week I didn't have a job. No Kalamazoo lawyer wanted to take on a 55 *billion* dollar corporation with an army of lawyers, so I was left unemployed after doing the right thing and reporting a serious safety concern.A business is made up of people, most of them not unfeeling monsters. But there ARE some only interested in the business and almighty dollar, and it seems those people gravitate to positions of power, deserving or otherwise. I met and managed some of the best, hardest working people I'd ever seen. It's a shame they'll never be properly appreciated, compensated, or *safe.* Photos STILL available by request.

Came in to do a propane exchange since my tanks were expired and not able to be filled. Instead of telling me that they couldn't exchange my propane tanks due to the fact that they supposedly got bad propane tanks from there distributor even though they had 2 tanks in the cage that weren't marked as bad and expired. They offered to fill expired tanks without even checking my tanks to make sure they are safe to be filled. Staff needs to be trained better. Called and talked to a manager and he acted like he could care less and just couldn't wait to get off the phone with me and basically just shut me down when I called. I will take my business to lowes or any other store from now on

Bathrooms are always clean and well stocked. Many very knowledgeable employees and the younger kids are always happy to find someone who can help if they can't. Always well stocked store, you can order for delivery, rent tools, and you get 11% back in a mail in rebate too! Great sales. 👍 10/10 totally recommend.

Ordered a wood stove online. They DROPPED IT. Offered me $50 off to take it as is. When I refused, they tried to charge me a $180 restocking fee. Do not order anything that isn't in store. Terrible experience.

what a shamfull, lying store this has turned in to. the new GM has only her intrest in mind no one eles. I had bought a new kitchen Aid dish washer from the Gull rd store, could not get it to run. I call whirlpool they told me it had been servied it two other state will all kinds of problems, motherboards aand a wide range of everything whitch it was again.but to sell a unit from state to state wow Whirlpool gqave me a 40% off coupon took unit back gull rd told the GM Lorance about it and what Whirlpool was doing he said he would make it up this spring when I was putting in new flooring.well not not she is not honoring any of his stuff. She shows no respect to any customer done there her and her little chubbytard at the lumber counter like to pretty much all people liar, how nice must be the peole and the family the hang with. DO NOT WASTE TIME HERE! if you use menards go to a different store but Home Depot is way cleaner and much nicer people to deal with

This is one of the better Menard's store I've been to. They are very helpful and friendly. They do have some decent people whom actually know what they are talking about. I really appreciate all the help of the staff at the Gull road store. Thanks to them all. Check them out.... I'm sure you'll have the same experience.Update: 06/2022I still believe this to be one of the better Menards store I've been to. They have good prices and a very good variety of items. The pro desk is very helpful if you have questions. They do a great job 😊Update: 01/2023 great store and always improving. They have a great staff and do an awesome job.

We bought a Prescott storage unit kit. Menards staff said it could be put together in 3 hrs. We’ll….screws not included, nails too short. A seasoned construction crew took TWELVE hrs to complete! Don’t be fooled and buy this kit…..:ever.

Review for the Gull Road location. Phillip, in the flooring department, was very helpful. I had some measurements for flooring that he took the time to convert them to the square footage. This made things a ton easier for me. He and another guy also helped me put the flooring and other stuff I bought, into my car. Will definitely be back, and highly recommend Phillip for you flooring questions!

Prices are fair. Store is clean. Staff is not very knowledgeable, so they should not be giving advice if they are unsure of the subject. Multiple occasions I've overheard employees instructing customers on incorrect ways to complete the job they are taking on. It's probably good for profits for customers to have to keep returning to get other items that they actually needed, but it is not good for business.
