This place is literally heaven on Earth. Kitties EVERYWHERE! They are always happy to see you and get pets & playtime. The staff are wonderful people who care deeply about each and every cat in their care. The included snacks & drinks are an added bonus! I absolutely love coming here.

I have visited several times and always enjoy stopping by! The cafe is always such a welcoming environment and so much fun to visit!I recently had the opportunity to adopt a kitty and was extremely impressed by the thoroughness of the adoption process. It’s clear everyone is very educated and passionate about what they do and dedicated to finding these cats the absolute best home possible! I was provided with multiple resources to help my kitty adjust and got to speak with his foster as well! I felt that myself and my new best friend were set up for success from the start! I also appreciate that we feel supported even following the adoption process; I was told they don’t stop caring about the kitties after they get adopted and 100% believe that to be very true and another tell tale sign of the devotion they put into what they do!Animal rescue is tough and I just adore this organization and cannot speak highly enough about my experience, both in visiting and adopting from here! I’m looking forward to continuing to support them in any way I can and singing their praises! Thank you so much for all that you do for the local community and these kitties!!!

We visited the cat cafe a few weeks ago and had such a blast! We met some awesome kitties and had some great laughs at all their silliness! It was such a great way to spend our afternoon! Complimentary drinks and snacks were a bonus too! We can’t wait to come back and visit!

It was a great experience being able to go and meet all the cats free to run around in their enclosure where we could pet and play with them. We could see their personalities, how they reacted with each other, and determine which one or ones in our case were right for us and our home.After about 5 months, the 2 cats have integrated fantastically into our home. No regrets at all. The younger one is quite the explorer, likes sleeping on his back, and loves his cat tree bucket. The older one is more settled, loves lap sittings transitioning to naps, and let's us know if we are off schedule.

Such a cute place. A strong urine smell when you walk in but that is expected with almost 40 cats!! The place is maintained and the cats are SO loved and taken care of. Can't wait to go back

The smell is definitely the first thing you'll notice once you enter the building, but you mostly get used to it.Kittens are super cute, the staff was super nice as well. You can tell the staff really cares for the Cats. The cats all had their own unique personality which was evident and fun, great place to spend some time.I keep going back and forth on the rating, because I've been to other cat cafe's where things were done differently, but they also lacked what this place offers, genuine time with kittens.

I have adopted three cats from the Kzoo Cat Cafe. Each cat was loved and valued before I adopted them which made it very easy for them to transition into my home as a family member. Rules and Regulations are made clear before entering or adopting at the cafe. If you want to adopt you should consider your visit at the cafe as an interview and treat volunteers and staff members well. The staff, volunteers, and owner of the cafe all take their responsibility seriously of adopting these cats into forever homes. They make it clear that they want to adopt to people who will treat these cats with the respect and love they deserve and will commit to these cats for a lifetime. If you are not interested in adopting you can still help out by visiting the cafe and cuddling with some kittens. The money you pay as an entrance fee goes to off set some of the cost for caring for all the animals at the cafe.

We brought our cat in for a nail clipping which went great. The cat is very shy but opened up to the staff and all the cats roaming the room. Best experience we have ever had taking one of our cats out of our home.

Just adopted two kitties from the cat cafe a couple of weeks ago, and now I live with two of my best friends. ❤️Abbey was super helpful throughout the adoption process, answered all my questions, and very clearly cared about the cats, even once they would no longer be at the cafe. Highly recommend if anyone else is looking to adopt a cuddly new member (or two!) into their family. 😻

My children and I went here for an afternoon outing in the winter. They enjoyed their time and the cats were fun to play with. It does smell like kitty litter and urine a little, but there are A LOT of cats. My son accidentally broke a cat toy while there and they asked me for a financial donation to cover the cost. I kind of felt like the money we paid to be with the cats should have been sufficient.

This place is more cat than cafe so don't come here if you're looking for a place to eat. The staff and volunteers are very friendly and eager to answer questions. The cats are sweet. One kitten I remember cuddled up to me and slept. Meredith is my favorite but she's sassy. I'd be sassy too having to be around a bunch of people. All in all a good place to be if you're looking for a place to chat and be surrounded by the best creatures on earth.

The Cat Cafe is possibly the best adoption service for cats in the kalamazoo area. They allow you to meet the cats and get to know them before adopting. They also take incredible care of the cats. Easily one of the best places to adopt.

The owner is very professional and is kind to every living being. (A big ❤️) Great customer service. Please read about the cat Cafe before you visit so you will understand the rules better and especially what it takes to adopt a Kitty. They really make sure that the kitties and humans are okay before adoption can happen. Love how you can visit kitties and relieve stress at the same time. The cafe has staff, volunteers, fosters, and allot of people that support them and all the beautiful kitties. So many beautiful people and adorable kitties under one roof. Very nasty person on the text at the other end. Telling me that I don't care when I'm reaching out. I find these kittens, my dogs will kill them. Whoever it is, needs a different job help the cause resign. There was no mama cat apparently she got hit. I don't know anything about the mama cat like you said you're sick of dealing with people like me who call all day wanting help you're sick of it. Please get another job, you're the nastiest person I've ever dealt with. When trying to help kittens, you want me to put them out to die? Overnight of course. I didn't. I found someone to help me? That's real. You need a new job, dude. You could care less about me or the kittens just keep on pretending. I think you're just a victim, you see yourself. As a victim, poor poor thing. Have to listen to people all day long. Get some a new job seriously.

This rescue is doing it right, and the well-socialized, clean, and playful kitties are living proof! There were so many options for the cats to interact with - including toys, different furniture, and cat TV - allowing the cats to be themselves despite visitors! I had such a wonderful time, and I will definitely be back again and again.

I attended their painting session and I had such a great time! Staff was very friendly and the cats seemed to be well taken care of. Warning: it does smell like cat pee and litter so if you’re sensitive to that avoid here. It’s an expected scent seeing as how many cats they worked with but I was still caught off guard. I’ll definitely be back!

My first word of advice is to look at the bad reviews first. There's even some 4 and 5 star reviews too that even mention how unprofessional Abbey the owner is. Her responses to negative removes and anything negative are extremely childish and unprofessional. The first concern I have is how horrible smelling this place is and dirty it is during our first visit. We've been to a cat cafe rescue in Fort Wayne, IN and another one here in Michigan and neither of those could you even smell a hint of urine or feces. So there's no reason for this place to smell as awful as it did. Made the 3 of us feel bad for the cats honestly. Next I'll move on to the issues with Abbey. My wife addressed some concerns with her regarding a cat that we adopted. Abbey immediately got defensive, unprofessional, and then even in an email tried to insinuate that my wife maybe be "abusing" or "yelling" at the cat we adopted all because my wife had enough of her rude comments on the phone and my wife decided to be unprofessional just like Abbey. After my wife said there wasn't anything more to say Abbey continued to blow up my wife's phone. Called a total of 13 times in a very short amount of time. Only a few times my wife answered some of those. So between the phone calls, texts, and a few emails we have from Abbey it clearly shows she's far from a responsible, respectful, tactful, and professional business owner. My father in law owns a cyber security company and another family owner owns a very busy restaurant. So I've seen enough to know how one should treat customers whether you agree with them or not. And how to be more tactful with customers that are getting irritated. Abbey clearly doesn't know what it takes to run a small business properly. Just her responses to some reviews on here are enough to prove that. I truly hope a new owner takes over for her. I refuse to do any kind of business that displays disrespect towards kids like she did with us as well as make false accusations along with everything else she did wrong.

Adopted our gentle giant, Scotty, from here about a year and a half ago and the adoption process was very smooth. Prior to adopting Scotty, I would visit just to hang out with the kitties, all of which are well taken care of and the place itself is very relaxing and welcoming. I would recommend anyone adopt from here (yes, there are stipulations in place to make sure the animals go to the utmost caring homes) but the owner has these in place for a reason! Highly recommend if you are looking for a new friend!

I cannot even tell you in words how great this place is! The cats are roaming free and they rub up on you no matter if you like cats or not I promise you if you go not liking cats you will go out loving them and hey maybe you could adopt one too!
