We had a positive experience in a negative situation. My kitty(s) were ill (separate occasions) and had the best care possible. The staff was supportive to me during the entire ordeal. It meant so much how they helped me with any question I had. One person even gave me some cat food out of her stash to have my kitty try. The vets were super, I KNOW they carried about my animals as well as me.

I am extremely disturbed about the advice I received from this establishment that I have been patronizing since 1998 . The care we received then was spectacular. And my family had been very happy with their services so I continued to support them over the years. So naturally when my 6 month old puppy ( Gravy Wave) was showing symptoms of some kind of poisoning I was happy to hear they had a spot for us the same day. When we arrived, with the puppy tensed up and lethargic and obviously uncomfortable. I checked in, but instead of showing any urgency I was handed a new patient form to fill out while I'm holding my puppy who could not stand or walk at the time. The lobby was empty and I could hear a meeting or conversation with multiple employees happening just on the other side of the door. We waited 15 minutes past our appointment time until we were able to go back.Once we got back I explained what I thought could have happened, the very curious puppy got into something toxic or intoxicating for puppies. I looked around my house for any clue of something he could have gotten into to no avail. The tech seemed to listen and did routine temp check and felt for and blockages. Then in comes the doctor and almost immediately she determined that this puppy had a neurological issue and would likely not recover. She took x-rays and found nothing to indicate that any recent trauma has caused this issue. At this point I was thinking about next steps. My mother happened to be close by and came to offer support. The doctor did not perform any further testing no urine, blood or anything. Instead she stated the it was lunchtime and she recommended that the only option was to go to the emergency vet in Kalamazoo and have them admit him and see if they could provide insight, ( we all know that's going to cost a gazillion dollars) she was sure he would not recover and said euthanasia was the most humane option. As I wrestled with further financial ruin and the broken hearts of all of us who love him I reached out to a friend in the industry and asked for suggestions, but the first thing that they said was to absolutely NOT go to VCA and to get to the one on Byron Center. We were prepared to make the trek for the sake of the Gravy Wave. I wanted to check on Sir Biscuits, who was at home before my mom and I were going to head up there.As I was getting out of my car Little Gravy took off running down the street! He was a little wobbly but he was booking through the neighborhood and showed signs of improvement obviously. The vet told me he didn't have feeling in his legs. I'm floored. I call my mom and inform her of the miracle and continued to monitor him. Over the next few hours he improved and we decided to wait on the emergency vet.Had I taken the vet's advice we would be mourning a sweet little part of our fur familyI'm happy to report the Sir Gravy Wave is basically back to his crazy little self and I am overjoyed. Naturally I called the office Monday morning to file a complaint. The person I spoke to seemed to listen to my concerns and sympathetic to the situation, offered to do some investigation and follow up with me later that afternoon. I never received a call or message until after I called back and left a message. Now my email is blocked from contacting them.

This place has been an absolute blessing. The staff is incredibly kind and go out of their way to make sure you and your pet get the best service possible. I highly recommend making them your first choice when looking for a veterinarian!!

I took my cat here for a dental. I was quoted $600 with no extractions. For 4 teeth removed it was about $1000Just if anyone is wondering about the pricing for a cats dental. This seems about on point I got similar quotes from other local vetsI was called multiple times during the procedure. I liked the updates. Ally and the staff are really knowledgeable. Glad to have a vet to go to for my older cat

Took good care of my dog but was suprised by the bill. He had sever reaction to food and didnt think he would live. Good for emegencies but not for regular vet visits. The people are real nice there.

Today was my first visit here with my Girls. The staff was very accommodating and helpful when we arrived. The vet technician was amazing with my girls and made me super comfortable with having her take them to get their vaccinations. The vet we seen today (who is also the owner) was very kind, friendly and welcoming. We had great conversation while talking about the care for my girls. If you’re looking for a new vet I highly recommend Kalamazoo Animal Hospital!

Will never understand how this is an Animal Hospital but doesn’t take Walk-ins… my dog is literally dying and they said to book an appointment for months out. Ridiculous. Will never recommend this place to any pet owner. Better off going some place else

I was so happily surprised when they started to take clients again. I am now in, and have gotten all 6 of my animals caught up after having a not so good experience with their last vet. I am so happy with the switch. My animals are all doing much better. They’re very welcoming, patient, and compassionate about what they do. Thank you for having us!

Today was the second time I've taken my dog here. The staff is beyond kind, caring and very knowledgeable. They do not make you feel rushed and take their time to get to know everything about your animals. They are also wonderful about working with your budget! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

I'm relatively new to the Kalamazoo area and needed a local vet for my senior Great Pyrenees mix and my new puppy. KAH was able to get both dogs in within a week, which was a wonderful surprise. During the visit, Alexis and Dr. Moiles were an absolute joy to meet and talk with. The care and affection that they showed my dogs made them feel safe and welcomed throughout the entire visit. In addition, they were vastly knowledgeable on the current medications on the market, and they were able to offer solutions within my budget for both my dogs needs. After the visit, Alise and Karen provided excellent customer service and helped me get all the costs figured out as well as setup future appointments. They were super friendly with my dogs, and they even kept an eye on them for me while I ran to the bathroom! Thank you again for that! While I wouldn't say I'm exactly looking forward to the next vet appointment, I am incredibly grateful to have found such a great group of people to help take care of my dogs! Thank you all at KAH!

Recently I had to say goodbye to my elderly dog. The staff were all so kind and compassionate and made sure my little buddy was comfortable and that I was supported through the entire process. We took our Daisy in a few weeks ago because she was having some digestive issues and since coming here our baby kitty is doing so much better! She's more playful and happier, and her symptoms are starting to heal and go away! So thankful we were able to get her in and have a kitty that's finally feeling like herself again! This was our first time coming to this veterinarian, and I'm really glad we did. The facility is nice and big and clean and the front room staff were very helpful. The veterinary tech and the veterinarian herself were lovely people who clearly cared about my cat and his health. They went over prices with me up front when I asked about it and we're very reasonable. The doctor called me the next day in person with the results from his blood work and I really appreciated the personal touch. I would highly recommend bringing your pets here.

After trying to find somewhere closer to go to, was able to find this one. Haven't had any issues when bringing in my 4 cats and the staff is always nice and answer any questions I have (suggested a great veterinary ophthalmologist). They were able to squeak in my other cat in when she seemed to get an UTI when I had an appointment booked for another one of my cats for blood work. Yeah, prices are a bit higher than what I paid in the past at another place, but it is what it is.

High prices and rude staff! Been going there for over 20 years and just transferred records to a new vet a week ago. They seemed to always have extra charges for something! Always adding more money! The staff lies! When the manager Chelsea called to find out what happened a week later I told her (as I called the assistant a name) and Chelsea said oh no and started yelling so I hung up on her. She called back and as I was saying "you weren't even there" she was yelling at me telling me that I wasn't welcome there anymore. and just kept yelling so I again hung up on her. She was very unprofessional!!! I had already requested all records be transferred somewhere else. THANK GOODNESS! Don't recommend this place at all.

Our cat developed an eye infection and Kalamazoo animal hospital was able to see him the same day due to a cancellation. All the other vets we called including the practice we used to use for everything couldn’t get him in for over a week.Kalamazoo animal hospital saved me from using more expensive emergency services to get treatment.All of the staff treated my cat and I very well. The building has been updated since the last time I was there years ago.Thank you to everyone at Kalamazoo Animal Hospital!

Kalamazoo Animal Hospital (especially Dr. Kelly Flanagan) have been nothing but exceptional. I have always been able to set appointments for my fur babies in a timely manner, especially during this pandemic. Staff has been working so hard and they go above and beyond for your pets while staying upbeat and show so much compassion! Dr. Kelly Flanagan has honestly been the best vet I have ever had. She always remembers the small things about my boys and truly takes the time to explain everything in detail so I have a clear understanding. It is so wonderful to have such a great clinic with fantastic staff and Doctors!

This place is excellent with my best friend Huckleberry! The workers here are very friendly and you can really feel that they care about their animal patients. Unfortunately Huck is allergic to certain meds but they always avoid the ones they can and are great with checking up and monitoring him during those times. If anything out of the ordinary happens with Huck they are very tentative on keeping us updated and/or checking in on him to make sure hes fine at home. I am so thankful to have found Kalamazoo Animal Hospital.

Everyone at Kalamazoo Animal Hospital are so wonderful and professional. Their friendliness with the owners and patients makes for a positive experience everytime. Finding a vet available to take new patients can be very difficult at this time, but I'm so grateful I was able to get my puppy, Vinny, in to see them for all his wellness checks and vaccinations. And I honestly loved their curbside service because it's gives my puppy the chance to be away from me for a few moments.

Dr. Flanagan takes excellent care of my senior dog who has some fear based aggression. She knows how to handle him, and she is very caring. Dr. Klooster successfully removed a mast cell tumor from my other dog with clean margins, and she was very helpful throughout the whole process. She answered every question I had, and I had many. I'm moving about forty minutes away, but I will continue using this vet because I like the whole team there so much! Thank you!
