Excellent dog boarding! Our dog is very shy and loves this place. They have fenced-in yards where they take each individual dog out with a staff member to play with them so dogs don't fight or get hurt. You pay extra for that, but that's good since you can choose how often you want play time during boarding or not at all and are only pay for what you want. The staff are very friendly and kind. I highly recommend them.

First time we've used Camp Ravenwood Kennels and we are impressed so far. Friendly, helpful, caring employees who took an active interest in both our dog and us. Nice, clean facility with fair pricing, especially like that the option for the one on one time is available for our pet. Glad we made this choice!

We have taken our dog here twice now and I couldn’t be more pleased! The staff are all incredible, they take such good care of the animals! Our dog has terrible anxiety and I always worry when we leave him at a kennel but he came home so happy! We opted in for 2 play times a day which is such a great opportunity for your dog to have personal 1 on 1 time with someone! Absolutely love this place!

The location is very convenient with adequate parking. The staff are very friendly and helped my anxious dogs settle in right away. They were willing to accommodate a variable pick up schedule and offered to board the dogs together or apart but adjacent. I boarded the dogs twice about a month and a half apart, and there was no hesitation on the dogs part when going in the second time, which to me meant they were happy there. They came home clean, and happy with no weight loss or any sign of issues. I will definitely board the dogs there again.

I have used Camp Ravenwood Kennels for over 30 years with three separate dogs. Peanuts was first, Kyna second and our latest Kerry. They go above and beyond the call of duty when taking care of our pets. Kind, helpful and informative. Wouldn't think of taking our fur baby anywhere else. Thanks Camp Ravenwood! You're the best.

We have been taking our dogs there for years. Several dogs ago, at a different facility, we went to drop our dog off while we needed to go out of town for a business trip. She didn't want to leave Mom...'take me with you'...'I'll be a good puppy'...etc. Something came up and we needed to change kennels, so we went here, to Camp Ravenwood. We get there to check her in...the young lady comes to take her to her area and...she didn't even turn around and say 'goodbye'. She was so relaxed and happy that she didn't even notice that Mom and Dad were gone. I can't think of a better validation than that.

Today was our 1st day of daycare. All three of my canine kids were excited to go. 837am and the office was spotless and smelled nice. Employees were all smiles and very helpful ! Great attitudes for an early Monday morning and everything went great for drop-off. You know how you can judge a place and people by how your dogs react, well My three picky dogs didn't hesitate for a second. No nervousness at all! Just good vibes!! I got to enjoy my whole workday and even ran errands after work then picked up at 557pm and wow was I super impressed ! All three dogs were still happy and clean smelling and full of relaxed confident energy we got out to the car and they were falling asleep before we got to the end of the road! A quiet and relaxing drive home for the first time in ages! Prices literally can Not be matched anywhere in this area. Best price and best service! Reputation does preceed them! (i asked around and heard Only Positive praises! ) Hands down the best kennel/daycare I've found in Kalamazoo county! Camp Ravenwood was highly recommend by our vets office and friends. I am so glad we found you! A+ you guys!!!😍🐶❤

My dog stayed at Camp Ravenwood over Christmas for 10 days. When we picked him up he had a cute Christmas goodie bag full of treats and a picture with Santa. They also bathed him right before we picked him up and he smelled so clean. The customer service was exceptional. We were really grateful we didn’t have to worry about him not receiving love and attention or having to give him a bath right when we got home. We were very happy with their care and will be returning.

I brought my dog here a few months ago. I was drawn to this place because the prices were better than any other kennel in the area. When I dropped him off they were nice and seemed to really care about him. However, when I picked him up he looked terrible. His eyes were sunk in. He had 2 major cuts on his paws that limited him from being able to walk correctly. When we got home he drank tons of water like he wasn’t given any in days. It took him a few days to actually wag his tail again and come near me. I read a few other reviews like this, but ignored them. Please don’t bring your pet here. He looked the same as the day I rescued him from a terrible situation.

I cannot figure out how to do a new review...but once again very please with Camp Ravenwood. My girls are very content and well cared for.We have always had great customer service, the kennel was clean also providing air conditioning for those hot days. Definately will go there in the future and would highly recommend it.

Owners were very nice and helpful. This was the first time taking our 1 year old Husky to board. So I was nervous but the owner was very reassuring and took the time to answer all my questions. They gave me a report of how she did and her interactions with the staff. I was given a tour of the facility. The facility was very clean. She had two separate stays- a daycare day and an overnight. After each time she seemed happy and tired. It's a good thing when my 1 year old Husky is tired!

Was happy they were able to accomodate my dog over the weekend. My only concerns were they tell you that you can bring 2 toys for the dog and I know that she wasnt' given them. they were brand new toys and in a brand new condition when i picked her up. It make me wonder if she actually got the addition playtimes that I had paid for. my guess is probably not.

When I arrived to the kennel, I first noticed to very frustrated old woman (I think joyce?) was screaming at another employee at the kennel. Not only did this make me uneasy for my dog, but just in general put a bad taste in my mouth. She then seemed to turn her frustration right towards me as I approached her. Luckily I’m not frequenting kennels, but if I were, I would never come to this one again, purely because of the woman I encountered.

The staff was very nice and accommodating, however when I picked up my cat the back of his legs were rubbed raw (assuming from him sitting in the same hard surface for long periods of time) and his paw was cut. Neither of these issues were brought up to me by the staff upon pick up.

First off I did do a walk through of this business. Was told by the young lady that the dogs got play time 2 times a day no charge. When I go to drop my dog off they inform me they charge for playtime. My real complain is that I instructed the staff to give my dog toys. 3 total. Told them to change out toys after 5days. Was on vacation for 10days. I pickup my dog pay. They never gave my dog the toys still in bag with tags on. I WILL NEVER RECOMMEND THIS PLACE. STAFF ARE CLUELESS AND LIARS. DONT USE ADVOID AT ALL COST.My dogs name is shooter and my moms dog was Dallas. They were under Mary Klien. It was my mom who did walk through.

Super friendly staff. My dog is stress-free every time I drop her off and pick her up here. Some places they are nearly dragging her away from me. At Camp Ravenwood, she prances away without looking back at me. A little heart-breaking - but glad she is comfortable and happy!

We took our beloved dog here two years in a row for week long summer vacations ( 2016 and 2017). Both times he came home with kennel cough. This year we had him vaccinated a couple weeks before we took him there. Didn't work. Vet warned us it probably wouldn't work.Update: We have since found out that it was a bad year for kennel cough. Our dog probably would have gotten it at any kennel. Camp Raven wood has treated our dog really nicely. We are taking him back again this year because after visiting other kennels, we still like Ravenwood the best because of their nice facilities where our dog has a run he can go out at any time.

We recently moved to the Kalamazoo area and were in need of boarding for our miniature dachshund for a previously planned short vacation. I dropped our 3 year old pup off on Saturday and picked up on Thursday. During this time our dog got a nickel size abrasion on his neck. This has never happened before. We noticed as we were walking out and immediately went back in to ask the staff about it and they all looked clueless.. it obviously had been there for a few days and I find it hard to believe they didn’t notice it considering they are supposed to be let out twice a day and we paid for two additional play times each day. We will not return here and would not recommend anyone else taking their fur babies to this place.

We boarded our two cats for 14 days at ravenswood. Both cats had just been to the vet within a matter of days for check-ups and were in good health. When we picked them up we were told they were both ill and had to be separated. Both cats were sneezing, had watery eyes, wheezing and our Siamese was expelling a bloody mucus. We were told they must have picked it up at the vets office.We had them in to our vets office within 4 hours of picking them up from the kennel. Both cats have upper respiratory infections and are now on antibiotics.Here’s our issue with the Kennel; the incubation time for a URI in a cat is 8-10 days, so either A) the cats were ill for a significant period of time while at the Kennel and we were never notified (or our vet) B) they picked this up at the kennel and we were still never notified.Our cats each lost about 1-1.5 lbs during their stay, we’ve got extra veterinary bills and medication costs and they utterly failed at communicating with us.

We used this kennel as a last resort for an overnight stay this past weekend. Paid for 2 full days when our dog was there at their noon Saturday drop off and at 530 for the earliest Sunday pickup. He came back stinky and with a bloody tail (white dog, highly visible dried blood on his body and tail). I would recommend Gillette over this facility.

Last 3 times I have been there, my dog comes home and guzzles water she drank a full 2 quart dish in 15 minutes. She panted like no tomorrow, her nose was warm dry and crusty. I would have recorded it last time but I was hoping in the shower...she comes home smell dog urine. Has the last 4 times. Hell when I was there they brought the wrong dog to someone, the desk lady said our mistake we have 2 dog with the same name and owner... Gave them the wrong price for the dog. How do you mix that up? After numerous reviews including my mom's and her dog, we can't prove that Sarah got her medical issues there (words from the vet), however my dog continues to come home smelling like pee. My question why wouldn't you call the vet if she's not drinking water???? Not one but 2 dogs...both completely different breeds and personalities. Have extreme need for water when coming home, smelling like urine. What makes you think a 9 year old cocker spaniel is in heat. (Oh and she's spayed)?? Like you told us last year when this happened..(with no call ).she came home this year same problem however you did call, because she was bleeding again and because we told you guys off last time...I've worked in animal shelters, and they bust there behinds keeping cages clean. They never have dogs that smell like piss, if they do the issue is resolved by a bath or if they can't safely give a bath, they provide extra cage cleanings to prevent that from happening again.If you were not drinking water as a human . You would have heat issues amongst urinary/bladder problems also just like these dogs had .If you were not drinking water you would call your doctor regarding that...so what about your animals? Or like it says on your website.Any time a human or animal doesn't drink water or shows thirst ,. There is a medical issue helllllo!!!!!I expect you to reply regarding my noted issues, from what I see other people recently have had similar issues , but nothing is being done...so when will you start to fix the problem ???Don't even bring up my mom's dog issuethat's a whole different situation with the vet and phone calls,There's something going on here, many people have had the EXACT same issues...so care to explain that?You can't?Reply all you want, Whats done is done. We won't be back, as the others who said that won't either.Have a good day .

The workers there treated my cat with love and affection. They called me as soon as they had an inquiry about his behavior which turned out to be nothing out of the ordinary. He was happy to see me when I picked him up, of course, but I would trust this establishment with my furbaby anytime.

Picked my dog up on Tuesday and on Saturday he displayed symptoms of coughing up foamy flim, which apparently is a sign of kennelcough. I will contact the vet on monday. I had an uneasy feeling dropping him off there, should have read the reviews before hand. My dog has been in various kennels over the past 3 years since we had him and never had an issue before. He will not go there again.

Please check this kennel out before using. Read the reviews. Listen to what others are saying. Be aware, that if you post anything here, be prepared for harrassment from owners. I will never use them again due to issues that occured during my pets boarding experience. I do not trust them. I don't feel my pets are safe in their care. I cannot stress this enough. Their stories repeatedly are untrue. They do not stand behind their motto of "treating your animal as if it were their own.". So very sad and unsettling. Addendum to owners statement. Your story is far from true. I have signed witness statements that the comments re: stress were never said. Vet nor I never mentioned the word stress. I spoke to vet this am and your voice mail re: lack of care from me is also untrue. Whats done is done. I did not take down the original post because the owner is right. They still did not tell the truth and nothing can change the fact my dog came home sick. In my opinion your facilty is poor. Will never recommend it to anyone. These people cannot speak the truth. Poor way to run a business. My dog became sick in their care and THAT is totally true and documented. My attorney still is aware and will be handling this case.

They have taken very good care of our animals for years couldn't ask for anything better. I don't leave my pets with just anyone and when I leave them with these guys I know they will be in the best of hands while we are away. I would highly recommend them to everyone I know very clean facilities
