I am a faithful Polly's customer and shop 4 of its stores on a regular basis depending on which part of town I'm in. My absolute favorite is the Country Market in Brooklyn MI - the checkout area is ALWAYS fully staffed and ready.I want to give a shout out to the Spring Arbor Road store DELI DEPT. It is SO easy to be waited on by a friendly and eager staff person. I sometimes go out of my way to buy fresh prepared food there!Parnall Rd produce is the best lay out with plenty of room and fresh stock.The Vandercook store meat department is excellent! Love the way they cut steaks! Thank you Pollys!

I love Polly's! It's not congested and hard to get around like other stores. It has great meats. The deli is the only place that stocks my fave Grandma's Cole slaw. They stock items I can't get at other grocers. Great selection of greeting cards. Love 'em! At the Parnell location they have a few tables so you can eat items from the deli. I love the flower containers they sell in the spring. It's a better experience than the big box stores and the selection is great!!

Great Family Owner Business. Support your Local Business Owners.You will be pleasantly surprised at the service and quality of their Products. I won't buy my meat from any place else but Polly's. I am very trusted in knowing what I get when walking in the door. Great selection of Fresh Produce and Meat.With Polly's, you are never disappointed. The store has always been a reliable go-to for your everyday groceries or a quick run of the store or an item you forgot.

Pollys Country Market has a good selection of products and different products than that of other grocery stores nearby. Neat and clean with friendly staff. Fruits and vegetables are usually in good condition here with exception of my last trip. Potatoes were all pretty bad looking , cabbage was really small and bad too. But most of the time the produce is great. Only real con for this store is that there is always a wait at the registers but unfortunately thats become an issue at every grocery store.

A small grocery store that packs a nice variety of items neatly into the store. Polly's has their own butchers, so the meat is fresh cut and not frozen and shipped in like some much larger chains. I did ask a stocking employee for the location of two items, but the answer I received was, "On the back wall," of the refrigerated items. That wasn't a big help, but I did manage to find all the items I had on my list eventually. For me, that's why this Polly's is a 4 star location, instead of a 5 star location

This store is getting out dated.. But Hey we all get old... I don't shop at Polly's alot but there are certain items that only Polly's carries..So If you can't find it elsewhere I recommend Polly's..BUT DON'T GET ME WRONG ITS MY LOCATION THAT KEEPS ME FROM SHOPPING AT POLLY'S MORE.They have good quality meats.The people have always had time to help when needed..

Look— I love Polly’s, which is why I gave two stars instead of one— but this review is solely for the deli, or maybe whoever picks up the phone to transfer you to the deli? I’ve worked in customer service, and I’ve worked in food service. I know how it can be. But I’ve called this specific Spring Arbor deli at least more than 5 different times at different times of the day, and I am always* on hold for 10+ minutes until I finally decide to just hang up. I just can’t seem to wrap my head around what they might be doing that they can’t ever answer the phone… like, ever. I’m questioning if I’m ever even being transferred to them in the first place, because they’ve never actually answered, and the last time I tried calling after 14 minutes of holding, a woman answered and said “who are you holding for?”…like girl what? So yeah it might just be whoever answers the phone.

The company I work for get all the employees $20 gift certificates every year for the holidays, we are only allowed to purchase turkey or Ham either whole or lunch meat. The problem I have is my company pays up front for theses certificates yet if you don't spend the entire 20 dollar amount Pollys keep the rest the won't let you spend what's left at a later date....way to scam!!

I usually only use the postal service, the lady with the beautiful hair is always amazing and helpful, when the main desk is closed though the service counter can be a little congested, only one time have I had a staff member be rude to me when I showed up to ship a very small item that wasn't in a package, I assumed I could get one there. They had a stand full of different packaging for everyone to choose from I was just unaware of it. She called me out from the back of the line saying, "Are you shipping something or....., I said " Yeah just this". She says rudely, ( I felt) You need to put that in a package we are a shipping hub not a post office! Everyone was looking at me at that point, I said calmly (I felt) I just need packaging. She says, " Oh, well. What they send us is over there" , and points to the stand. I said" thank you". Took the packaging and left, I was agitated at that point. It took me two seconds to package the item, I already had the label and everything, I waited to return to ship my package until the next day.I don't shop here because the meat looks questionable sometimes, especially the pre-seasoned selections. The produce area is beautiful and clean very inviting. The deli counter area has a selection of cold food that can only be described as looking old most of the time, spilled into the container carelessly then sat in the view of customers as they scoop it out of the glass container right in front of your eyes. Some of the items are so closely organized they spill into each other. The rest of the stores isles are setup with a nice walk through flow but, a lot of the items look old. The name brands are overpriced and the off brand items are not appealing alternatives. The overall selection in the store is minimal. Though they carry most basic essentials, Walmart being less than a mile away doesn't help me want to shop here. Overall the store is clean, the care is low for the customer and product.I will have to add some pictures of examples of what I have described, soon.

I bought fried chicken for our family reunion. 100 pieces cost $80 and it was really good chicken. They could only keep 100 pieces warm at a time so I did have to get more chicken at another store.

I was very offended at this Polly's location it must have been a manager because he was clearing around a clipboard and was really following me around asking me questions like being suspicious like I was trying to steal something in some way when I was just helping an older couple find the things I needed he was very rude and I felt very discriminated against other than that I've always had okay time at this location but I am no longer going to be a customer there!!!

I recently moved to the Jackson area and discovered Polly's (including the one in Chelsea on the way home from work). I love it. It's like a breath of fresh air compared to the big chains which I now avoid like the plague. I have never left a Polly's without everything I needed, they have it and it's on the shelf. Those other stores have become a total joke and I ALWAYS had to spend more time driving around to find what I needed. I just came to expect it and budget it into my planning. Polly's obviously does a way better job at inventory, a good example of local stores actually having pride. I found out it's the same family going back almost 150 years in business so that's an awesome story in itself.The employees are friendly, the prices are great, the value is great, and I personally love that their stores are simpler and not stimulation overload with horrible unreliable in-your-face technology everywhere that just makes those other stores an awful experience. I love the size of the stores, the layout, the architecture, it fits me like a glove.Did I mention they don't corral you up and herd you through self-scans? They actually have live cashiers! More than one too! You don't have to stand around for 20 minutes while the 1 cashier overseeing 20 machines comes and fixes the machine or checks your ID.I am really considering Polly's a perk of living here. I love businesses like this that are thriving because they do it right. I hope that never changes, I'm sure times are hard right now on any retailer but they've got one more guaranteed customer now.

Very convenient as they are close to my home. Service is always good. The reason for the four stars is that you have to watch the dates on everything. There have been far too many times when we've slipped up and ended up buying food that was expired or close to expiration
