The rebate process is a joke. I'll be shopping at Home Depot and Lowes where we get better pricing and don't need to wait 2 months for a store credit. Also, there is a short window of time to submit the rebate form so if Menards isn't a life priority, we miss the window.

Had one of the worst customer service experiences that I had ever encountered. The prior day I bought an electric corded lawn mower. Most lawn mowers are a simple installation in expanding the handle mechanism with a few provided bolts. The lawn mower that I received didn’t have a back/rear attached axel. I looked through the manual and it showed no instruction/guidance of what could be missing. I proceeded to use the mower thinking that it would be a simple resolution as the rear axel fit within a designed void along with gravity could roll and mow.To make a long story short I was accused of lying and breaking the mower by the store manager even though there was no signs of trauma to the mower, when I cursed at him for him for assuming and verbally the worse. I received no apologize. I understand that people may abuse the return policy, but I would have preferred to have the return rejected than to be wrongly accused of something I didn’t do. I can empathize with police officers that encounter the worse slice of society within their work, but for a store manager to treat a senior citizen like he did is unwarranted.The location needs a new store manager, I have spent ten of thousands in Menards over the year and this store manager (is an outlier of those that I have interacted with) who worked the afternoon of May 2nd should be reprimanded

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience with the store manager, George, and hardware manager, Shawn. I placed an online order and needed to make some changes, so I called the store to cancel the order. I was assured that the order had been canceled and that I had placed the correct order. However, when my crew went to pick up the order, they were given both the original order and the new order.I was surprised to learn that I would be charged a 25% restocking fee for the original order, as these are everyday items that the store regularly stocks. When I spoke to George and Shawn about the issue, they accused me of lying and said that the proof was that I had called to cancel the order. When I asked why my crew had been given two orders when they only had one order number and scan code to pick up, neither of them provided a satisfactory response.I am disappointed with the lack of customer service and professionalism displayed by George and Shawn. I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and Menards headquarters.

The associates were helpful when asked questions and shelves were stocked. They're in the middle of changing over the outside area to Spring, so it what is difficult to maneuver through that area.Sadly, the '11% Off Everything' deal was NOT going on, but we were able to get almost 32% off our Pittsburgh paint, via a mail in rebate.We weren't able to locate any large boxes of decaf K-Cup coffee pods & it would be nice if they carry those again. They were great deals on non-decaf options; ~80 pods for $19.99

Needed cabinets for two different areas of our home went to kitchen cabinet department and dealt with Penny, What A JOKE if she is all you have to offer there will be many others like myself shopping elsewhere. Have purchased many cabinet from this store without an issue, Never Again. If you need one cabinet you may fine if you need more than one, save yourself time.

Tried to do a pick up. They don't have very good signage and after my wife went in, she had to go to the back. I drove around to get her where I ran into the Gestapo like gate. I did not have the scan tag due to my wife being inside. I pushed the button for help and got a busy signal...over and over. The gate attendant came over so I explained the situation to her. Her response? Keep pushing the button until you get some one. Well, after 10 or 15 minutes of pushing the button, calling my wife inside so she talked to someone inside and finally getting someone on the speaker (4 or 5 other people waiting behind me to get in) I finally got past the gate to pick up my wife and her packages. Will not be shopping here again anytime soon. They need to get up to date with Walmart, Lowes, and Home Depot when it comes to pick up.

It's always nice to purchase items for a new project at home, especially in bulk $$$ 😆. There is a bit of lack of communication in the department areas and I think that would be helpful just to make a customer's visit more flush and not a bunch of run around. The end result though is a thank you Menards for your products I was able to complete this job in 18.5 hours over 8 days. It's done, I'm exhilarated and it looks wonderful & is ready for flowers & plants!

I stopped in today to get a toilet seat, a very nice young man asked me if I needed anything. We talked for a minute about the selection that was available.I have to say, his kindness was much appreciated. This is the place for anything you are looking for and also you will probably walk out with more than expected, surprises around every corner, sales on lots of items, very reasonable prices, quality Merch and very helpful knowledgeable and friendly people

Busy location. Customer service was a bit spotty. Some really great standout people, and others were grumpy and rude. Difficult to ask questions when CSRs are rude or on their phones. Found what I needed by myself.

They were out of the deck boards I needed 5/4×12 foot deck boards unfortunately I drove 45 minutes to find this out. Normally I wouldn't be to frustrated but the gentleman at the counter took 15 minutes to help out then was rude no acknowledgement of the 15 min wait then bluntly said nope were out of those anything else . Lowes was able to provide everything I needed. I will say my experience at this store has always been good in the past.

Overall the best selection of toilet colors in stock compared to Home Depot and Lowes. No Kohler to be found though:( Toto was also not available. The proprietary brand Eljer was available as was Mansfield. A few American Standard. I was really looking for Kohler. Prices were competitive. Need to do some research on Eljer and Mansfield to see how their ratings are. Will require another trip!

DO NOT EXPECT HELP from anyone outside in the lumber yard. So far we have seen 4 workers and none of them have offered to help load anything. Sure they will point you in the right direction. But will NOT help you. There is 3 guests in this building and no one has offered a hand, yet there is multiple workers within eye sight.

If she’s a manager of any sort she definitely needs to reevaluate her attitude towards shopping customers. She’s lucky it was a good day for me and I did t go off on her and embarrass her old a$$

I hate everything about this store. Can’t find any help when you get sent outside into the abyss. The rebate system sucks. The process to purchase something outside is horrible. If you want to pick something up from out back, set aside at least two hours. You have to go out back find what you need. Then you have to walk over to the building desk. Then you have to get a slip from them, then walk back to the front of the store, pay for your item. Hope you parked near the exit side of the store. (Which is another thing that I hate, there is a designated enter and exit, more and more walking around) Anyway, then you have drive back around to the back. Wait in line with your car. Show them the slip. Then you are in, all alone. There is nobody out there to help you. No help to find or load anything. On the rare occasion you find someone out there, they are unwilling to help. I had asked a guy to just point in a general direction to help me find some landscaping blocks out back in the yard. His response was “you’re basically on your own out here” and he peeled off on his forklift. The return process is challenging as well. The receipt lookup on the computer is an absolute torture if you ever find yourself having to do that. All of their rebates and in store credits are printed on little pieces of paper. It is 2023. They pay their employees WAY TO LITTLE, so they have a constant turnover and nobody knows anything. I had to pay someone to go to the store 3 times with a dump trailer because they kept giving us the wrong material. You’re best bet anymore is to go to a mom and pop hardware or lumberyard. You may pay a little more, but you get a much better service.

Frustrated with Menards in Jackson. Store manager refused to help at the best of her ability to assist us in our purchase. We wanted to touch and check stability of gazebo before purchasingMenards wouldn't allow us to climb up to see gazebo. Manager refused to walk across metal shelf to get to gazebo. We tried everything but they were not willing. Even waited excessively Long time for manager just to get ladder and get her motivated to help

The store seemed to have what we wanted, and the rebate we sent in and got back is a great idea, but when we ordered and set up delivery we were told it can be delivered with 48 hours. That turned out to be untrue, so we set up a delivery time for the following week, taking time off work to make sure everything went smoothly, well it did not go. 2pm, no delivery, When I called I was told it had mysteriously been canceled and noone knew why. To help resolve the situation a manager would call us later that day. By 7pm still no delivery, and no call from a manager, so i called back again, and was told essentially ( still not by a manager); sorry you're out of luck we dont know what happened, but we rescheduled your delivery for another random day (hope it works), have a good day. Absolutely ridiculous.

Sorry so long. I placed an online order today and showed up to pick it up WAY too early. Completely my fault. I asked if I could just change it to me picking it up in-store and was eventually in the right department. EVERY employee I encountered (which was several) was friendly, professional and helpful. I wish I could remember his name but the guy in hardware was like "Yah, no problem. Let's go." He immediately took me to every item I had ordered, loaded it on a cart, walked me through the cashier lane and helped me load it in my truck, all while smiling and being friendly when he could have understandably been rude and short with me. This dude deserves a raise and if I had cash with me and thought I was allowed, I would've tipped him. I really appreciate the level of customer service that I received today from everyone at this Menards.

Love seeing people bring in dogs, chickens, and even a monkey into the store. They don't enforce any rules with fake service dogs barking at each other and peeing in carts. Very unsanitary.

We have been remodeling our house for the past few months. Menards has been our go to for this entire project because of the 11% rebate. Very easy to send in and use the rebates. We have saved 100s of dollars because of this

Very disappointed in the tool rental. I rented a floor sander. The sander wouldn’t hold one of the three sanding discs but I kept putting it back on. I ended up bringing it back early as I was frustrated. I get there and I tell the returns associate and she just opened the dust collector and told me I needed to bring it back cleaned out ( it was dirty when I got it) Nowhere does it say to bring it back clean. They only instructed me to remove the pads before returning. They charged me $20 for the cleaning. Also nowhere in the agreement. I will never rent there again. So bummed.

Every time I go into the store it is Russian roulette with customer service. However there are more grumpy and mean customer service individuals at Menards than there are nice and understanding ones. What I believe is that people working at Menards are not okay and Menards doesn't do anything to help anybody when you got managers cussing in the middle of the floor because they're so upset with the store there's an issue with the store. I'm not going to take the time to email the store or the store owners or the manager because the reality is you should have an understanding of how awful your customer service is

I bought a sealed box of LED bulbs. Got them back to my shop and 3 - 2 Pack sleeves of bulbs were missing. I called and explained the situation to Will in electrical dept. He said bring the entire box back and they would switch them out. Meanwhile Travis the store manager reviewed the sale ( Video ) and determined that I left with a full box and would not swap them out. As assumed I was extremely disappointed. I asked to speak with Travis and he came to Electrical Dept. We discussed the fact that I did upfront say that it was an unopened box and was not hiding or scamming bulbs. After he thought and discussed things about this he did decide that I could get a box. I was getting close to boycotting the store. Realize that this was partially my fault for not opening the box. This very well could of been missed from the factory or possibly returned as a full box and taped in a manner that disguised that it was opened.At any rate this turned out positive for all and I wanted to thank the guys that worked with me thru this issue. Keep up the good work.
