In my opinion JEM-Sport is hands down the best race prep shop in the Midwest! I’ve trusted Jake and the boys with both my race cars and they’ve never done me wrong. Very knowledgeable, experienced and always go that extra yard to make sure I’m ready to rip!Jake just tuned my Prodrive build subaru STI rally car which set the fastest times in its class at SnoDrift this past weekend!He’s tuned my factory Toyota Papadakis build manufacturers world championship winning drift car to perfection which is no easy task. (2AR, 4 cylinder turbocharged 1000hp monster)I can’t say enough. Trust them period!

TLDR, Great products, even better customer supportJust a summation of my experience with Jake and JEM Sport's products I have gotten from them over the past ~4 months to swap a 2.0 EcoBoost into a Miata.Starting off, I ordered their EcoBoost to ZF Transmission mount. Immediately after my order, Jake reached out directly to me and ensured I had the correct model as it was a less common variant. That email thread now has 68 emails between Jake and I, relating to everything EcoBoost swap related. The adapter and flywheel itself are beautifully machined pieces of billet, and I had no issues installing them. It is obvious they have a ton of R&D time in this product.Moving on to what makes this swap run, their wiring harness is top notch. Everything is BRAND NEW, from the wires, connectors, fuses, everything. It is also built exactly to length and was very obvious as to what went where in the harness. Cant express the ease of install, they make it pretty difficult to mess up. Car started on the first try! Hard to beat that.Finishing out the build, their clutch kit they use from clutch masters is wonderful. not bad on pedal feel and holds plenty of torque.The products are wonderful, but I believe their customer support is what sets them apart. Plenty of places will sell you a product and leave you SOL when you have a question. Someone is always there to take your call and answer your questions, and they are always super helpful. They answered some of my questions late at night when trying to get the car running. Seriously, they are awesome.

Update from 4/3/23:I had the shop here in Arizona take the engine apart and the cylinder heads that were machined and installed by JEM-Sport were not installed correctly and are unusable (his best guess is they were not cleaned sufficiently prior to installation). His theory on the dealing was there was only about 20% of the RTV required on the motor which would explain the four oil leaks. I have pictures of everything. What a nightmare 😕August of 2021 I was driving back from an event with Misubies when my engine on my 2018 Subaru blew up. Based on a recommendation from somebody in the club I had the car towed to Jem Sport in Jackson Michigan. The owner Jake Minard assured me they could do the work and that he was an authorized IAG garage so the IAG block would have a 2 year warranty on it. In March of 2022 I flew to Michigan to pick up my car. I then immediately drove the car 1850 miles back to Phoenix Arizona. When I arrived in Phoenix, Jake instructed me to have the oil changed. I had the oil changed two hours after arriving in Phoenix. I was told at the oil change facility that I had an active oil leak on the passenger side on the bottom of the motor. I went in the pit, observed the oil leak and took pictures. When I got home I immediately emailed Jake with the pictures. His reply (I have all emails and pictures) was that this was "normal" with Subaru motors and to monitor the leak. 10 months later the car now has at least four active oil leaks. I observed the leaks, took pictures and contacted Jake. This time his response was that it's been too long and too many miles. I'm now going to have to pay somebody to take the motor out, clean the motor, and seal it correctly. I had asked in the second mail to help me with cost of his mistake and he refused. Had I known how our transaction would finish he would have never touched my car. When your investing in a "professionally" built motor you would hope it would be backed by integrity. That is not the case with Jake Minard and Jem Sport. During the teardown I will get more pictures. I have all communications and pictures, will share individually if requested.

Best auto service I've had! Came in last second with a faulty headlight wiring issue. These guys had the problem solved within 20 minutes, didn't even have to leave the shop. Very professional crew.

Took my '19 Subaru STI to JEM a couple months ago for an install and tune (flex fuel, downpipe, bcs, and some cooling mods). A few things I noticed.I felt comfortable from the very beginning. Even though Jake and the team have FAR more knowledge about this car and modifications then I do, I never once felt like I was being talked down to or intimidated. They broke every detail down for me. Also they were HONEST. They gave me a quote on price and an estimate on performance right up front and delivered on both. Made the process very easy and reassuring.Now beyond Jake and the team being good guys. My car feels like a different animal. Huge gains in hp and torque. It's not clunky or harsh, just super smooth power all the way through, runs great, no issues. Thanks guys!

Brought my car in for an engine and trans tune, great service and my car drives amazing now. Got it done very quickly for a good price. Jake was helpful before I was even ready for the tune. Will be using him for all my tuning needs in the future. Shop dog was pretty great too.

My experience with Jake and his crew was great! I came to them with a laundry list of things to do to my 04’ STi and they delivered beyond my expectations. They were very good at keeping me updated on their progress and for the amount of work being done it took less time for them to complete than I anticipated. I was and still am very happy with everything they did for me and the Subie. I recommend this shop for anyone who is wanting good honest work done. I waited a few months before writing this review only because I wanted to put some miles on the car after all the work they did. Had a great experience with the guys at Jem Sport. Jake dyno tuned my slightly modified 21' WRX and it drives soo much better now. Everyone I spoke to was very friendly and they made sure to answer any questions I had and then some. A well informed group, that from my experience cares to put out good work.As someone who is hesitant to let others work on my cars, I trust them and look forward to working with them in the future.

I had my 19’ Subaru WRX Clutch replaced by them last year and didn’t find out until now that they only installed 3 bolts on my downpipe. They didn’t let me know about it either

Stay away from this scam 🚨🚨 and let me explain why. My payment went tru with no problem, I've been sending emails asking for order for two week nobody responded. Then the order was canceled for no reason and I lost two weeks of my proyect and also lost the discounts of cyber Monday every where. That simple. Thanks for nothing

Very happy with the service performed on my Subaru Baja, fast diagnosis and solved my issue in no time. Jake was honest about everything and even informed me things that I thought were due to be replaced were fine for now(He's seen a lot more subarus than I have) and saved me money rather than trying to do unnecessary jobs to get an extra dime.For this reason I will be a repeat customer because I believe I found a shop I can truly trust to not only take care of the car but the customer too. 10/10 looking forward to doing business with them again in the future!

Will never go back. I went there once before to get some gaskets and some an fittings. So I went back once again.... to get 3 gaskets for my turbo . Two of the three i had pn# for. Having all three of my old gaskets to bring to them to compare to the new ones. All i kept hearing from one of the owners is he needed the car here so they could order the right gaskets. Really?? Thats funny all i needed was my set of calipers and my old gasket and ebay and ten minutes. Done. On the way in 4 days. Did i mention it took them 3 weeks, even ordering the wrong one. I couldn't even get a simple 4 bolt turbo gasket. I even had my old one and gave it to them to use. I told them what car ,what manifold , what turbo, even supplying them with the tag from the turbo. Look I was trying to use a local company, give them some business. What I got was a bill for $150.00 for two gaskets not 3. I wouldn't use them, I certainly wouldn't refer them.

Incredibly helpful and personable techs. I've had to call a couple of times with pretty niche and specific issues. Both times the tech on the phone went through multiple questions with me, got a whole picture and made thoughtful suggestions to resolve, even if the suggestion didn't result in me spending money with JEM.The Tech also mentioned the knowledge difference between he and I. But not in a pretentious way, as an offer to talk to tech support for a third party for me to throw his weight around because that third party is currently giving me the run around.This will be my first stop for all import service issues and Autosport needs. Full stop.

Did some mods on my c6 corvette. (CAI, long tube headers, aftermarket catback exhaust ). Didn't notice a huge difference until I took it to Jake and the crew to have it dyno tuned. Wow! Woke that motor right up. They were professional and prompt. Can't wait to take it back after stage 2 of my mods. ( head porting, cam upgrade, intake upgrade.) Thanks guys.

JEM-Sport couldn't get it running right. Had it almost whole summer of 2021. I took my Factory 5 MK4 Shelby Cobra to Cain Motor Sports in Perry Michigan where they had to rewire everything Jem-Sport did. Cain Motor Sports got it running like it should have run. Also charged 1/2 the price.
