I have always supported local business, and have purchased all of my Echo products from Hammond Hardware. Their service used to be very good, but something has changed. I recently purchased a chain for my Echo chainsaw. They didn’t have an Echo replacement, so the sold me an Oregon chain. That chain went dull and completely useless 3/4 of the way through at 15” downed cherry tree. I took it back to Hammond and was told the service man wouldn’t be back until Monday. The young man asked an older gentleman, who looked at the chain and said it was “duller than hell”. I asked for a refund, they took it to the “manager” and upon their return, I was told “there’s nothing we can do for you”! Not only have they lost a loyal customer, but I’ll make sure to tell everyone I know to stay away from a company that only cares about their profits.

Very nice and professional staff. They helped me figure out if some old propane tanks could be used again, they could not. They offered to dispose of them for me. Very helpful and know the store inside and out.

Went in looking for a special size mirror bracket. First store I went to carried only one size, but I found exactly what I needed at Hammond's. From now on, this will be the first hardware store I go to. 👍

I can usually find what I need here. It’s nice that it’s so close to the office and we can run down and get some thing in a hurry. Very friendly and helpful staff. Just go in and tell them what you’re trying to accomplish and they will help you get what you need.

Not very helpful take u to what u are look for and then disappear. No one to answer questions they got 2 point on my 10 point scale for buying a chain saw and weed eater. I am still look but other places got 7 and above on points to buy. I sure will buy someplace else. It was a waste of my time to go to Hammond hardware. I recommend going some place else. One star was to much. I am still learning about gas, battery or electric chainsaw. But they did not help me to learn any thing about it.

I normally don’t arrive so close to closing store hours but today was a challenging day. It is 90 degrees outside, I am 7 months pregnant, and have been trying to teach from home during COVID with two young children of my own. I was thrilled to have made it before the store closed. We have family visiting for the first time in a long time tomorrow and our hose on our water slide cracked. I had the hose with me, knew the length I needed and the size. I have been there before for it and it has taken about 3 minutes to get it and check out. I told the girl at the door as she was shutting it but it didn’t seem to matter to her. I also stated that I had a few minutes left before 5:00 as phone showed. She looked at her watch and said well it’s about 5:00 now and closed the sliding glass doors. I was extremely shocked and upset. Our family has been going there for years and I thought that was a really unprofessional and extremely rude way to treat someone. I drove down the street to ACE Hardware. They were polite and welcoming and have a new loyal customer. I will NOT be back to Hammond Hardware again and either will our family.

It feels small. It feels crowded.. But the staff is always ready to help you. I feel that some things are a little over priced but.. They seem too always have what I am looking for. The checkout counter is a little overwhelmingly stuffed with junk for sale that we don't need. Kind of feels like they are shoving it in our face. Not a lot of room at the check out. Like I said. The place just feels very crowded with stuff. With that said.. I will tell you that they do have a shop to fix your lawn mowers and other small engine tools. The folks back there are also very nice and willing to help. I like the place !! It just feels crowded... Especially at the checkout counter.

Can’t understand a rating lower than 5*Wow...wow...wow! What a great shopping experience! I past this store while looking for a new grill. I just moved to the States, so no experience with this. The team at Hammond Hardware took a lot of time to show me the different models and explain them in detail. Within a short time I felt the passion for service! I finally decided to buy a Broil King out of the show. To fit it into the car they helped me to disassemble some parts and put it all into my car. Again....perfect service!Back home I realized that I left a part in the store during disassembling and called the store. Since the store is about 1h drive for me they offered to ship the part free of charge! Amazing!!Thanks for the great service David and the other team member (can’t remember the name). I will see you when shopping accessories. :)

This store continues to amaze me! We ordered a chain saw a few months ago and they set it up and did curbside pickup for us, no extra charge! Today we purchased an orbital sander and they were out of the one we were looking for but gave us a great deal on a Milwaukee one instead! My first choice for power-tools!

This hardware store is a local favorite. I came in looking for mouse poison. Immediately I was greeted by a gentleman that led me directly to pest control. There were several options available. He explained the differences which helped narrow down my selection. Parking was convenient. Perfect spot if you are in a hurry and don't want to go to the much larger competitors.

Been coming here for over 25 years. Started when I was about 10-12yrs. old. My step dad had a rental property nearby so Hammond was our go to store . Now I live a few blocks away myself so I'm in there a lot. Usually a good experience here.
