I was in the south side DG this afternoon (2/6/24) and whoever the young man working the register was deserves a promotion immediately. Wish I had caught his name, but he had excellent customer service skills, and just had that positive energy. Give him a raise and promotion immediately! I would return to this location just for the vibes.

Some female manager yesterday stated they did not have to accept bottle returns actually by Michigan Treasury law you do as a retailer if you sell that said one then you said you could turn them down by the liquid in the bottom of the bag that had already drained out of the said bottles that you make the cashier count which means they are transferred into another bag or place no you cannot and will be reported the one with a couple cigarettes I can understand and didn't realize it was in there or it would of been discarded however you should not train your trainee wrong in laws as management!

I like the store. But the parking lot is not safe for Vehicles or bicycles or little ones just walking across the parking lot. The pot holes are disrespectful

The store is always filled with carts that need to be stocked items. Its not very clean. Management isn't very professional. Workers have cell phones blaring with music on.This store is not in the nicest part of town but it should still be a store that people feel safe and comfortable about going into. And not feel like the workers and management just dont care. All customers deserve good service and good/organized/clean shopping experience.

Went there to inquire about a job the cashier told me they were hiring for all positions including the one I was interested in which was a shelf stocking person and I had to go online to fill out the paperwork , which I did it was automated and it kept telling me that the only opening was sales representative's which I did not want so someone was telling me the wrong information . But as for the store it's a great place to shop.

Great new produce section and it was just remodeled.it looks amazing. Hope the shoppers and neighbors keep the parking lot clean and the isles. They look amazing and the staff works hard to keep it up but some shoppers make it very difficult..great job employee's at this DG location!!

Worst customer service ever. There's no organization in how they manage employees. No teamwork. Expect to wait at least 5 min in line, even if you're the 2nd person to check out. The managers don't care, neither do the employees. They Never answer the phone. The whole slate should be wiped clean and fired including management and upper level managers.

They have fresh fresh produce. Even ready-made Dole salads. They always have our favorite pet foods. I come here often. Otherwise I only shop at Aldi.

The store is just unclean, flies flying around the floor looks like it hasn't been mopped or swept the parking lot is always nasty and full of trash, Family Dollar right across the street much cleaner and their parking lot is always picked up well kempt, not going back to Dollar General,It cleaner and kept up what your workers don't seem to care people in the neighborhood do care

Always out of stock. Had $5 purchase and they couldn't cash $20 bill. Lol so couldn't buy what I went there for. Not first time this happened at this store

They've cleaned up the interior. It used to have stock in the aisles and. It was hard to shop. Now it is clean and friendly. Love shopping at this store.

Nasty place. It looks like no one even cares. Dirty floors, boxes all over the place, and dimly lit. Looks like it should be in a 3rd world country, not here in Jackson. Found a syringe in the parking lot once and said I'd never be back but the parking lot at Family Dollar was a mess so we went back to this Dollar General and it was a real you know what show!Now we won't come back. Ever.

It's nice that they have a mini grocery aisle in the store the thing that is missing and extra checkout counter I mean it's nice if can find what you need in the store

This store used to be nice. Now it's dinghy and dirty. Hard to navigate isles, not well stocked, overall not a well maintained store. Will be going across the street to Family Dollar from now on.

is Dollar general same as the rest of the employees are very helpful and want to help you get in and out and done everything is quite out nothing you can find whatever you're looking for they have it you can find it in the prices are very good that have clearance aisles and disc in $1 products which is nice
