I have a prescription of a controlled substance (ADHD meds). I don’t take a high dose so I’m only require to get a refill every few months. Since my last refill, I moved to MI from SD. When I showed my prescription to the pharmacist at CVS Target, she (quite condescendingly and immediately) said, literally, “Umm, yeah. NOPE” and that she was unable to fill it. I asked for the reason and she gave random answers that didn’t make sense to me. At one point, she said snarky, “I’m not sure how they do it in South Dakota, but here in Michigan….” From the get go, I felt as if she thought I was trying to abuse the system. She made me feel as if she thought I was doing something wrong by dropping off a prescription from out of state that “had a wrinkle and mark on it.” The thing was in complete and acceptable condition.After I realized I was going to need to take my prescription elsewhere, I mentioned to her how she made me feel. I was not confrontational and approached it kindly. She responded very sarcastically and ended with literally waving me off and saying “buh bye” in a condescending tone.I went to another pharmacy, not sure if my prescription could be filled based on her “reasons” BUT figured I may as well try. They were able to fill it, no problem.I’m not really sure what this lady’s deal was but she was in a MOOD and definitely caused a lost customer.

Sent me away saying they didn't have my script. Called doctor, and it was received by then 5 days ago. Then they said it would take an hour. Have wife get it and they pulled her out of line to tell her we have to pay for it. Which I had already discussed with them. She then had to go to back of big line from being pulled out of it. They don't care. Have to explain everything to them

I’ve experienced more than three mixups over the past 6 months with both Jackson CVS locations. Presently, I’ve been waiting a month for an Rx delivery. I called a week ago and still not here and they have been paid.Recently I heard a report on NPR about overworked pharmacy staff with CVS highlighted as possibly the worst. I believe the workers are doing the best they can while under staffed and dealing with a convoluted system. Also, when it’s time for a refill, I get several robo calls everyday till I pickup it up. The hard working and gracious staff keeps me from giving Jackson CVS just one star.
