I purchased a truck over the phone and finalized the deal trusting the employees of Betten in Ithica and ended up selling me a truck with an expensive air suspension issue....long story short they wouldn't even fix the issue knowing that I trusted their salesmen to assure me the vehicle was in sound condition....the only thing they did was diagnosis the issue without charge. First they said there was no dash light on or code so they implied there was no issue and only looked into it further on different visit because I implied they need employees to be smarter than the machine. They finally diagnosed the issue as a bad compressor for the air ride suspension...I ended up going to another dealership and paying around 4-5 thousand with a warranty to replace the compressor....which never fixed with problem. I told Betten in Ithica and they requested a proof/paperwork to the work that had been done to replace the compressor. I sent it over to them and all I hear is crickets.They than complained we had owned the truck for a few months...I said it's been parked because of the issue...they could verify that by the milage and furthermore complained about the issue within a week of owning it and was told It was just how the truck was manufactured.How do you not find yourself responsible for such an expensive fix and one that makes the vehcile unsafe to drive. This place carries the Chevy name and I feel I they're no different than some shady off name car lot.I gave them plenty of chances to make it right and at first asked nicely several times to try to get the problem resolved. They simply wouldn't do anything.Best advice I can give is DONT buy from them...they're not honest people. I hope this comment cost them more than they cost me...pretty sure they're the same people who own the Betten in Alma. Just save yourself and go somewhere else...you couldn't have been more innocent than I was buying a vehcile and they totally scammed me.

The staff was super friendly! My salesperson (Robert) was super helpful and he talked through everything he was doing to make sure we were in the loop. I also really appreciated that he asked questions before proceeding with something. Made me feel very comfortable and didn’t feel like I was pressured to buy something if I didn’t want to!

I spent nearly two hours here. Most of it sitting around waiting for simple questions to be answered. Then I was told it would be impossible to drive away with a car that day because I chose to use my bank instead of getting financing through them (shop around on financing if you come here, they wanted a full 5 percent more than what my credit union offered.) I wouldn’t recommend unless you have all day to sit around or if you just don’t care about your interest rate or any information on the car.

Sold me a 18k car that’s gonna need over 3k in repairs in less than six months. Cleared service codes before the sale so I wouldn’t know what was wrong. Serviced the vehicle before the sale with an oil filter that didn’t fit that could have blown my engine. Sold it with a messed up suspension that ate my tires in three months. Sold it with leaking seals in the back twilights that allow water to seep into my spare tire well anytime it rains or I wash it. Sold with a warranty that supposedly covered any thing oil or coolant touched except magically for the turbo charger that they had cleared the code for. So now I’ve paid over 6k for a vehicle that needs 3-4k in repairs and tires less than 6 months later and I still owe 14k on the POS.

We arrived early to look at a truck before the dealership opened and before salesmen arrived but Christy the office manager came right out and greeted us and helped us get started in our search. She was very helpful and accommodating and made us feel at home. Our salesman Tyler was great to work with, friendly and personable. He was open to hearing our concerns about things that needed to be looked at on the truck we were checking out. He was very respectful of our decision making process and never gave the hard sell.Betten Baker switched tires from our old vehicle to the new one, which we really appreciated.(since we had just purchased tires for our old vehicle) They also repaired a defect that we found during our own initial inspection.
