Instruments all over the walls, friendly faces behind the counter, and delicious food made fresh from local sources (with a whole map on the wall if you are curious where your eggs were laid this morning). If you have the time and funds passing through, Definitely stop in. Fast service, helpful and charismatic server with the perfect balance of checking on us and leaving us to enjoy our food.

Exactly the kind of place we hope to find while traveling. Great food, staff, atmosphere, music, etc. We've been twice for breakfast. The eggs are well prepared, the bacon crispy and the Tuscan potatoes are terrific. Ask for the garlic aioli as an extra condiment for dipping the potatoes. We also liked the blueberry pancake special. The paninis look great, but we haven't been for lunch yet.

This place was recommended by a local and thank G-d because it's some of the best food we've ever had. All locally sourced and the owner/chef is brilliant. I had the banana nut chocolate chip french toast and my partner had the Big Fat (a perfectly flaky croissant sandwich with eggs, cheese, and your choice of sausage/bacon/ham)-- both were fantastic. The potatoes were cooked to perfection and served with a delicious garlic aoli. Oh! And the jams were amazing: spiced pear, lilac, and/or raspberry...all yummy! Already trying to figure out when we can get back here to try more of the menu!! We enjoyed the food so much we forgot to take pictures but holy wow, can't recommend this place highly enough!

Came in with my almost 3 yo son. We were the only people in the cafe. We ordered a kids grilled cheese, 2 Gobbler Sandwiches, and a cup of soup. The soup never came, the portions were tiny (but the food was good). The server was more interested in chatting with her co-workers than following up on her customers. When the bill came, she had charged us for a different sandwich rather than the kids grilled cheese (apparently there is an adult sized grilled cheese? And that is obviously what I ordered for my toddler?)The shop is cool, and they have toys available to entertain kids while they wait. But the experience itself is not worth the $

Head Chef Dylan is running quite the business here at Rare Earth Goods Cafe. We were passing through town on vacation and were met with extremely friendly service and lovely suggestions. The atmosphere is so charming and makes you feel like you're being welcomed into someone's home. His homemade lilac syrup is amazing. Cookie was great, too. I would recommend going for 2 shots in an iced latte, as just one was slightly weak. My fault though, as Dylan did offer the 2nd shot for free. Check this place out.

Friendly servers, decent food and a hippie atmosphere. What's not to like. The only place downtown that we found to get an expresso.

The food at the cafe is amazing! All the employees are super nice and always make sure your order is correct. Everytime I go there I always find the food amazing no matter what I order. If you go there I recommend getting the big fat it's my favorite item on the menu, its a fresh local croissant from Huron bakery breakfast sandwich with eggs, cheese and bacon with potatoes on the side. And another thing I love about this cafe is that everything is customizable, there are seven different bread types such as sour dough, cracked wheat, seven grain, marble rye, gluten free bread and several others. They also have lots of different fresh cheeses, they have cheddar, vegan, mozzarella, white cheddar cranberry, smoked Gouda, pepper jack and blue cheese. They are also very vegan, allergy and gluten free safe if needed. The service there is amazing. The owner/head chef just recently turned 19 years old but still knows how to keep the cafe amazing with the best food I've ever had in my life. They have breakfast, brunch, lunch, and even dinners. They have tons of different specials, with there brand new dinner specials every weekend. At the cafe they also even have really good desserts, such as, ice cream, floats, shakes, with lots of different variety of cookies, cake, brownies, pies and cheesecakes and even scones. There are lots of instruments you are more than welcome to play while you're at the cafe. They have an amazing atmosphere and a store at the front you can shop at that has lots of different and unique items and clothes and much other stuff. At the cafe they also sell local artist's crafters items. #supportlocalIf you've never eaten at the cafe, I highly recommend eating there, with the best food and service ever. At least try it once, you're guaranteed to go back.Vegetarian options: They always make sure that there food fits the customers diet one such way of this is with amazing vegan cheese.Dietary restrictions: Whenever I go here with my mom who has celiac, the chef is always very careful to make sure there is no cross contamination. Not only that but all of there gluten free and vegan options are very good.Kid-friendliness: They have booster seats, books, and a toy area.

Rare Earth is an adorable, tucked away café in Ishpeming. The atmosphere is amazing and owner Dylan is incredible. He is super sweet and makes sure you're taken care of. They have a full menu with hot drinks and desserts. We had the 3-meat Burrito, the Chicken, Bacon, Ranch panini, hot apple cider, and pear cheesecake bars. All of which was absolutely delicious. Big thanks to Dylan and his crew for making it a great experience. Rare Earth is definitely a place to check out if you're going through Ishpeming. 10/10 *chef's kiss* recommend

Best experience ever. They care about everyone and treat everyone like family. Been going there every weekend for lunch and they alway know the order before we can tell them. We recently enjoyed one of the best breakfasts and cups of coffee ever! all food was local - eggs, fruit, meats, etc... And at a price point that surprised us - low and reasonable. The wild blueberry pie was amazing. Wonderful warm service and super talented owner. Stop here, you will not be disappointed.

Absolutely love this place. I've known the owner, Pam, for years. Shes a very sweet hardworking lady. Her workers are very sweet and hardworking as well. They dont just serve the food in the cafe, they make the food and help customers with the store as well. The atmosphere is unique and bright. Everything is brightly colored, decorated with plants and other decor. You can find pretty much everything. Wines, beer, groceries, clothes, jewelry, baby clothes, toys, beauty products... I try to stop by at least once a month since it's one of my favorite places.

Excellent cafe for a breakfast. The breakfast sandwiches were phenomenal. I ordered The Big Fat with sausage and my wife ordered the Apple and Brie with bacon. We both loved our breakfast potatoes as well. I’ll definitely stop by every time I’m in the area. The store inside of the same building has a wide variety of wines, beers, snacks, specialty groceries, and so much more. It’s definitely worth checking out both the restaurant and the store!

This has to be one of the most diverse and cozy little restaurants I've ever been to. There's beautiful local art strewn along the walls a nice winery and even a little hippie knick knack shop. The manager was very kind and helpful with a question I had about the area and the food service and environment was great.

Such an amazing find in such a small town. From the front of the shop to the cafe in back it was like stepping out of the hustle and bustle into a more calming state. The food and service was much better than expected. It felt like I was visiting a bed and breakfast while sitting at the table being catered to with home made, natural food. I highly recommend this be put on your list of 'must see' places up here.

My mom comes up to visit me from the other end of the state. We decided to eat at Rare Earth. We were so impressed with the food and coffee. The prices were really good for really quality food. It was the best breakfast I'd had in a long time. This will now be our go to breakfast place.
