I emailed these folks in Ironwood n had my elderly mother drive there. Staff never emailed me back, were not helpful in helping my mother adopt a new dog.I've been a Shelter board member here in Maine and we never would treat an interested adopter in this manner.Dr Jeff Johnson

This establishment is fantastic, and the service and caring attitude toward adopting families and dogs are great! We started off wondering if Dallas would be a good fit, but after a short session to get acquainted, he and our dogs were cutting it up in the play yard and having a grand old time! Dallas may not have been given a chance in life before now, but he's getting a commitment from us, and I'm going to give him the training, love and opportunities that he's never had so he can learn to be a well adjusted, happy dog with a long life ahead of him.

Awesome caring professional people. Very helpful and knowledgeable. Answered all our questions. Animals are very well cared for and everything is clean and orderly. Staff really does their best and truly care for each animal with Love and attention. Adopting a kitten. They make it easy and fun. Reasonably priced and Vet costs covered for first tests, shots and Spayed etc. Fantastic tips and experience at Hope.

I've adopted 3 cats from HOPE. The animals are well cared for and loved by the staff and volunteers. While we were waiting for our new adoptee to be spayed, we visited every day and saw firsthand how well the animals are treated.

The 1st thing I noticed when I visited Hope House was the fresh, clean feel of the shelter. The animals were healthy looking. I was impressed.Thank you Hope House for the wonderful service you provide for our furry friends!

They have tons of beds but don't give them to the dogs because they will "chew them up" even for the older dogs they won't. They lay on a blanket on the cement. But overall friendly staff and adorable animals.

Worked with Randy and everyone else to reclaim my uncle's cats and this has been, by FAR, the BEST experience I've had with an animal shelter. They worked with me and stayed open to help us reclaim our fur-babies well past their posted hours. My entire family is very grateful for their assistsnce.

Very clean and so much love given to their animals. Do background checks so pets go to good homes. Health checks and maintenance for all their animals. Wonderful staff.

They were super nice. I am glad they have a spay and neuter certificate. I will be glad that my male will be fixed this coming Tuesday.

i just wanted to know how old you can be to just walk the dogs, or feed the cats, ect....for free. if you have the answer please reply :) doesnt matter if its just bring the water to the animals, or stuff like that. thn

I arrived and immediately was harassed about not wearing a mask by people not wearing masks, they got the dog we were interested in and was immediately attacked by the dog.
