This last time we boarded her was the longest she’s been away from us and the staff reassured us that she did such a wonderful job! I’ve been bringing my dogs here for years and last week I picked my dog up and he had a bad limp after his grooming. It appears his nail was cut too short and he’s been limping for 5 days and counting. I can understand that may happen but when I picked him up no one said a word to me about nothing at all. I just think that it could have been told to me. My dog is in so much pain that it is not a good look to not tell the owner/customer that it happened. I’m assuming by accident of course. Bottom line is it bothered us that we weren’t informed of the dogs limp or anything until I got home.

As the owner of Engman's Haven House in Kingsford, I try to support local businesses as much as possible. We have 2 dogs and they really get dirty sometimes, especially in the muddy seasons which we are starting to get into right now. Two dogs who like to play in their kennel need regular baths and this is the place we take them too. Chewy and Meatball love coming here for their baths and we always have a good experience. Paws N Claws does such an incredible job! Everyone cares for your animals and are so welcoming & kind! My big boy has never been to the groomer before and I was very nervous about how he would do. The girls there reassured me that they would take wonderful care of him and they sure did!❤️ I highly recommend supporting their local business!🐶

Second trip there, and the worst experience ever ! My dog was having a nail clipping while I waited. He was always leashed. After the trim, the young girl that had taken my dog back was bringing him out to me and simply said " you know where your going", and dropped the leash expecting my dog to come directly to me . Well he did, but only because one of the two office cats was in my lap, and my dog wanted to chomp him. Luckily, there was no incident, but it was close. I will never go there again, especially after seeing all the blood on my car seat from the clipping. Worst grooming center I have ever experienced, and I have owned dogs for 50 + years.

Left my dog for about 5 days. Picked him up today. They said he was a good boy. He looked like he enjoyed it and wouldn't have minded staying longer. Lol. I highly recommend this place for boarding your pets. They have a nice little fenced in area to run around. They were all very nice people and only had good things to say about my dog.

Hands down best haircut my dogs have gotten in their three years of getting them. My doodle has tight curly hair and every other groomer has had to almost shave her completely. She came home this time with a perfect cut. Won’t go anywhere else now.

Staff was Great and very friendly. They did an Awesome job on my dog and gave him a great haircut. I couldn't recognize him when I picked him up. He was so so happy. And they even made him feel more special with a bandana before we left. Highly recommend 👍

This is a great place to take your critters. She did a wonderful job on my large German Shepherd, and she attempted to do my long haired Russian Blue Kitty, but he became too violent. She didn't even charge me even though she managed to do half the work on my Kitty and suffered some nasty bites from him. :( She's a friendly lady and she has great prices.

We have had our dogs hair cut here 3 times, the first time he was burnt by the tail but not too bad, the second time was ok. We had him done Monday and was burnt on his neck, and really bad on his hip. He wasn't matted etc. He is so sad and hasn't been his self since. I don't understand how all the reviews are so great when our service has not been good at all. Why shave a dog when it's not required. You can see his skin. Good luck!

As soon as we walked into the building it was a mess. It was dirty and smelled awful. We walked in to where she (the lady) was cutting a dog and the dog looked terrified. The hair cut the dog had was butchered and he had cuts on his legs. She had said he was shaking because he thought we were coming to pick him up but when we arrived we saw him through the window before he saw us and he was already shaking. We decided to get our dog done because she said the dog looked that way because she wasnt done cutting it. She started on our dog in the beginning telling us she would cut the whole body and clip the nails. She started and it was going okay until another lady came in with her dog. The lady then started to rush and get on to us for not having an appointment after she had said she would do the hair and we told her we didn't have one. She was cutting the hair on the face of our dog and she butchered the hair on the bottom side and cut it way too short. Mind you she was in a hurry the whole time so she didn't care about how she was handling our dog. She had "finished" the face on our dog and went on to the nails. At first it was okay but after a couple nails she cut really deep on one making our dog bleed. This happened on both her front and back feet. She put some medicine on it but we decided to be done with it all because our dog was becoming traumatized. When we got our dog back we saw how bad her face was. The lady tried charging us twice more than what she told us in the beginning. We ended up reminding her what she had told us in the beginning and she finally gave us the original price. When we got our dog home her front paw was bleeding really bad. I would not recommend this place to anyone.

My little poodle is very nervous as he was handled roughly in the past I talked to Liza in detail as to his phobias and uncertainties Liza has handled him within the utmost care consideration and compassion and goes above and beyond to insure his safety and comfort The shop is always clean organized and well stocked with necessary supplies. The staff is always pleasant and helpful. I would NEVER allow any other groomers to work on my little man. He is returned to me clean fresh perfectly groomed and most of all happy Paws and Claws are A # 1 in my book. I highly recommend them to everyone

I adopted a 7 year old Corgi in Minnesota right before I went home to visit family for Christmas. First thing I did was bring her to Paws & Claws to get a bath and grooming. Stella loved it there and the staff did a fantastic job making her look fancy! Even though I live 6 hours away, I will be bringing Stella to see the wonderful staff at Paws and Claws every time I am back in Michigan!

They did such a great job on our 3 great pyrenees they look beautiful. Such a nice clean place to bring your fur babies and staff is absolutely wonderful. Like always we will be back again.

I’ve recently been bringing my new puppy for doggy day care… He absolutely loves going there and it’s made him very good around other people and other dogs… I highly recommend using them for any service.. very clean ..very responsible and always happy to see my dog so it makes me feel comfortable dropping him off…love to see Mary and Michaela…Hunter the girl in the front is such a awesome young lady…she loves her job you can just see it….A plus for Paw for Claws…the best crew!!!!!

Brought our 2 labradors in for a wash, brush and nail trim. Affordable pricing. Dogs came out silky smooth and smelling great. They had spent 10 days in boarding/day care prior so they were really dirty.

We brought ourlong haired, old boy cat, Simon for a wash, cut and nail trim. Normally he does not like any of these things but Liza was very good with him and he laid down and let her do her thing without much complaint.He seems much happier now and we plan to bring him back in the future.😊
