Cashier Julie was very rude. She shouldn't be working with the public! I was looking at receipt that at first I thought was mine and the rebate was for .89 cents so I realized that it wasn't. As I was looking at it she snatched it from my hand and ripped it up. I will be calling corperate about this matter! This is NOT the first time that this same person has been rude.

This is consistently the most frustrating place to shop. Each time I go in is an exercise in patience and frustration. The staff at the checkouts are inconsistent and confusing. If I bring an image of the barcode I have I’m told they have to look it up, if I don’t have it I get attitude. If I try to request stone or block in the back I’m told to go up front to pay and then drive around. If I do that next trip I’m told I actually need to turn around and go out back to request, then come back to pay.I came in to the store with a plan and left disappointed. I’ll drive to Lowe’s or HD from now on. I can find items at these stores with ease and the staff actually seem to want to help.

If negative stars were an option, Menards would receive negative stars for handling returns. Especially when it is an online order for the quantity listed in stock and you receive what is actually in stock. The qty not in stock they will not return unless you print the receipt from your email prior to going to the store for a full refund. The quantity not received is thrown into back order instead of automatically cancelled and refunded to your credit card on file. Without the email receipt printed off they will only give you an instore credit of the lowest price, not the actual price you paid for the product when ordered online. What a scam!

My husband ordered a kitchen cabinet. I am very disappointed in it. It looks like they just had left over pieces and put a cabinet together with them. Or, whoever was staining it got lazy and didn't finish their job.

I'm not a big fan of big box stores yet Menards seems to always fill my needs with friendly service and fair prices. The in store experience is as good as their online stores. I try to stay local mom pop when I can but at times make an exception for here.

Our family “go to” for all our DIY projects. They even have the pet supplies and bird seed for our critters.We remodeled two homes and Menards was our main supplier. 11% rebate makes it even better.

They had great deals on everything in this place. I love coming in the spring to pick up my bird seed and garden supplies. I lucked out and found some tiki torches and cool lights for my deck. I also found a push lawn mower, which is unbelievable! I didn't even know they still made those. They are great for the environment and you don't have to pay for gas, ever!

Purchased a flat linear 36’ electric heater with led flames 🔥 Beautiful! Sadly the red featured led lights went out the next day. :( Need warranty to see this and promptly correct it or back to menards it goes.

I just left Ionia Menards. I stopped an employee to ask a few questions about a weed trimmer I wanted to purchase. The employee, Phil, from the plumbing department answered my questions and even had me follow him to his desk where he had some tools, and he assembled my trimmer for me and showed me how to operate it. I never leave reviews, but I feel he deserves a shout out for helping me more than he needed to. Thank you

I love my Menards though I don't live in Ionia our yard is decked out with owls to potting soil to Beautiful and very bright colors of birds flowers you name it they have it and so very helpful like I said I love my Menard's

I continue to be frustrated with the lack of customer service at this store. I had an $11,000 order to be delivered to my house and was given a 5-hour delivery window during which I was supposed to wait for the arrival of the items. An hour past that 5-hour window, I called the driver and was told that he should be there in the next 2 hours. No apologies from the driver and when I spoke to Steve, the delivery manager on 11/4/22, he didn't even offer an apology until I asked him if he had anything to say. Avoid this store for so many customer service reasons. I'm making the switch to Home Depot.Don't even get me started on their bogus rebate program which you never see the rebates or if you do they're 4 months out.

purchased an item it was broke when i got it home, went back to the store and replaced it. Drove back home an opened the packaging to another broken product. called and spoke with the manager Josh asked if he could do anything as i was going to have three 28 mile trips into his store. answer was sure we will give you your money back or when you return it we will open the new one to check if it is broken. Great customer service!!!! Not !! i will make the additional miles into GR and shop at a real store like home depot or Lowes. The phone thing is I was just about to purchase a 38k post frame building package from them. i will have the store i purchase call and thank Josh for the sale.

Disappointed with ionia store, big fan of menards too. Asked two different employees to see if we could get a fork truck to help us load 100 edgers, 15 to 20 min still no response and still sitting hereOnly have white ceramic tile, no selection other than special order.

Was in the paint department looking for workers and had some lady who wasn't wanting to really help and another employee who was I'll over and didn't even ask if we needed help or say Hi or nothing but employees in the store are very road. When the man finally helped us he didn't smile Or even say Hi to us ask what else we need help with. Upon walking around realizing other employees in the store act the same way.

Had a really bad experience at the Menards in Comstock Park, so we called the Menards in Ionia and had a great experience! They were very helpful, did what they said they would do and called, emailed and texted when needed. Only reason for not 5 stars is the product was delivered late in the day versus the morning like we thought. But they did a great job of commutative what was going on. Highly recommend them!

i bought a utility sink with cabinet on 9/20/22 and when I got it home and unpacked it, it had a ding in the bottom of one of the cabinet doors. I needed to install right away so I did not want to take a half day repacking and returning it. I called the company who manufactured it as the note inside the box instructed. I was told that they would send another door in two weeks so we cut and installed the utility cabinet. I received another email message from them a few days later telling me they could not locate a door and I needed to return the cabinet to Menards. I called the Ionia Menards and talked to Carl who was great on the phone and assured me he could take a door off an in stock unit if I came with the damaged door and receipt. He was quick to assist me once I got there and pulled the door off a display cabinet. I really appreciated the great service and thank Carl Walter for his dedication to customer service!

Pretty good store. One improvement I would like to see is when ordering online for onsite pickup, they may show as order as "compleyed/ready for pickup" but when you show up in-person they would tell you that some items are actually out of stock and not available. Would be nice to have notification ahead of time.

Spend a ridiculous amount for delivery. The window for delivery was for between 7am and 12pm. After getting no delivery, and NO PHONE CALLS, we decided to call. Not only were they rude and condescending, they explain that "their truck would not start", and that "the delivery was loaded by 11:45, but there are other deliveries first". So, we got left with no delivery time, and the installation of said delivery items had to be postponed. This is unacceptable. A simple call is all that was necessary. Calling to ask where our items are should never be an inconvenience, and as customers we should not be treated this way. It is apparent they DO NOT VALUE any customers, only if they get paid after they put in their minimal efforts. Definitely will never recommend their services to anyone, and hope that this is a rare occurrence because no one deserves to be treated poorly as a customer.

The folks inside are reasonably helpful, but be prepared to do everything on your own in the lumber yard out back. While there are usually several employees talking in groups, they appear to have no interest in helping customers. This happens on a regular basis at this store.Update: (adding two stars) Workers have improved, particularly those in the yard - much more attentive. Management seems to be the weak link at this point - follow through isn't great and orders are frequently mixed up.

We needed 4 sheets of a very common size plywood. They only had 2 available so we requested them to cut us the correct size. Request denied. Nor would they sell us higher quality plywood clorrect size for price we were originally looking at.
