This particular location has had few too many instances of being closed. Not even online does it show it's closed. What type of corporation doesn't update due to unforseen instances that they are closed. Phone number just rings and rings. I've called corporate before about this. They didn't even know the store was closed or when it reopen. After three customer service reps and 45 mins on phone they said they'd let district manager know. Well he or she must not give a care. A hand written sign saying closed. Or opening soon with no time listed isn't professional. It's the only store this side of our town. What are people especially those that walk supposed to do. Guess dollar general doesn't care

Ionia store is definitely a busy store. I give them that. I can never get thru the store in my electric wheelchair. Things stick out and I catch things all the time. Displays are blocking aisle space. The chair I have now is actually 3" narrower on each side than my old chair is and I could never get thru with that as a standard chair. I accidentally knocked something down making a little mess and an employee told me to leave it, they would get it. I went back and 2 more had been knocked down on top of it for a total of 3 of the same item being knocked down, but also that no one had bothered to clean it up in the week that it had been since I'd been last in. I only decided to leave a review when the employee who was working stopped everything with a huge line to go talk to her daughter. She'd had to close the self scan because they didn't have paper, then a man asked to use a restroom and she said they didn't have a public bathroom, when he complained, she gave him a key to the employee bathroom. Y'all are overworking that poor girl. She had no one to help her and people were getting nasty with her. The Muir store is my favorite, but I go to Ionia only when necessary. Too many disabled people in this area. Y'all need to pay more attention to the fact that s wheelchair can't get down your aisles because of carts, trash or displays. Maybe if you had 2 people there, one could clean/stock and the other run register.

I know almost everyone there and their friendliness has made it like we have been friends forever that's how it is when you walk in getting greeted with a hello. It's clean, and they are very helpful and I always get a did you find Everything ok when I check out. A nice place to be able to get what you need quickly.

Using the app gets you more coupons and discounts than you get just walking into the store. Yes, the app updates frequently, but those updates often bring convenient new features. Patience is often rewarded. *That's a life lesson, folks.

It wouldn't be a bad store if the shelves were stocked and organized. Seriously the place is a mess. You can hardly find what you need. Also the self checkout has never been fully functioning.

I seen this rude assistant manager harass a disabled woman with a cane and kick her out of the store for no apparent reason a while back ago. I discontinued shopping here just because of that situation. Now I'll shop there again because it's very convenient and close. But only if she's not employed there anymore. SMH!!

The staff at this DG location are very friendly and helpful. This is a fairly busy store around the clock. The employees always have a good attitude no matter how busy it gets, and they are always working. This store is usually stocked well so I almost always find everything I went in for.Having said that, I have a suggestion for corporate: Please fix the heating in that store!!! It is miserably cold and feels like the store isn't heated at all.The money you saved in ç costs won't do much good because so many potential sales are being lost due to the large amount of customers that are spending much less time in the store. Less time inside = less sales. Besides that, it doesn't make for a very enjoyable shopping experience. I mean, it's freeeezzzzing in there. I feel bad that your employees have to freeze all day. Please do everyone a favor and fix it!

Very clean, well stocked, helpful clerk's, very polite and patient. I'm visually impaired and they always are patient with me. My Dollar General store is a very good place to shop for me. I love it!

I went in there the other day and oh my gosh didn't like what I saw how nasty it was and the isle's were bare on the shelves had a odor and I could barely get through some isle's because they were unpacking from the looks of it and I could not find a cashier to save my soul made me so mad I waited for like 10 minutes and still know one was around so I left my husband stayed he was on a mission inside the store

I cannot believe how dirty the floor is, how chaotic the shelves are and how busy they still are. They need a good manager to come in and clean this place up and run it efficiently. I still shop here though because of the convenience.

I'd like to do a SHOUT OUT, TOOJAMIE SCHNEIDER.🤩🤩🤩I hate too talk bad about the store, but it always seems to be dirty and I cant even think of the last time someone greeted me at the door with a smile. Tonight Jamie was working and she was really WORKING. Mopping the floor, she greeted me at the door with aSmile 😃It felt so good too be greeted. Love the workers but it's hard to get through the store with all the u-boats and boxes blocking the isles. Dollar General needs to consider hiring stickers for after hours so that the customers can shop easier and the workers aren't stressing out.

Like the other locations the Iona Dr could use some extra training with how they address customers. Need to spend less time chatting with co workers & more time paying attention to customers waiting to check out. Could use a good cleaning of this store & possibly new cashiers that don't treat customers like they are bothering them when they are ready to check out. Also when something is priced wrong the customer in front of us checking out showed the cashier where their item was and it was clearly .95 the cashier hastily took the items from the customer acting like they had did something wrong rudely refusing to sell the item as marked talking to them like they were in the wrong. Dr should start watching video of what really goes on in their stores.

It was very unpleasant. The woman who waited on me, had given notice and was going to another job. She was rood and all she did was complain, with deep sighs as well. I was extremely nice to her, thinking it might help her look at things a little differently. Did not work. I feel sorry for her next employer.

Sometimes I want to give this place a 1.The cashier talk about fellow employees out loud and in front of customer. They never ask if they can help you while they wonder thru the store. I say they wonder because the shelf are always messy and never stocked. I've been in here multiple times and there are empty shelfs every where. There discount ail looms like its NEVER been straightened. Sometimes I wounder if they forgot to place there stock order do to the amount of bare shelfs. The lines are always long and you could wait more then 10 mins because of the lines. I will add picture later. I never thought to take any.

This place only has one employee, product is always laying in the aisle and if you are only going to have one register open fix your self checkout. I miss Family Dollar a lot these days.

My Cousin, runs a couple of these stores,, and I want to truly commend Her!! Every time i have come to her stores, and she has changed around a bit, but I see her in Stanton, Belding, Ionia and more,, every time, she has had everything I came for, OR< she ordered more for me to come back and pick up,,, She is always helpful, always Kind and always give me a smile,,, Y'all be good to Her, she keeps a great setting, and the place is Always clean!!! Five stars for Her!

It is an embarrassment to have such an awful looking Dollar General in our town. I have shopped at other Dollar General stores nearby and I cannot believe the difference. Why can’t my hometown have a store that’s clean, organized and friendly staff? I do like the Dollar General chain, they are very convenient, but please clean this one up!!! PLEASE!!! The owner needs to visit this one more often and maybe spend some extra time cleaning it up (including the employees).

Decent Dollar General. Not usually stocked the best. Can be pretty rough to find things, as things seem to be shoved in places they don't belong by other customers then never fixed by staff. Almost always has stock wagons floating around.

I love Dollar generalI find a lot of very nice stuff there, my only complaint is that the one in Ionia, Michigan is frequently very crowded and disorganized at times, it difficult to get around the store when staff is stockingI do not know if this is a lack of room issues because other dollar generals near here are not as crowded as this one but I continued to visit because I love the merchandiseStaff is friendly

The store is crowed and has a lack of employees. When I have visited this place they never have the items that I'm looking for or they are out of the product. The store also has limited space to shop because of the over abundance of merchandise.
